Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Vanessa wants people to like her and worries that strangers might disapprove.  She is a tender-hearted Pekingese mix, 5 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Vanessa was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her fear of being touched on her mouth or belly.  We do not know what she has endured, but she is responding well to people with gentle voices.  A calm, adult-only home is ideal for Vanessa .

Colleen , a young angel, reveals devastating pain in her eyes. She does not yet realize that she is forever safe from violence. Colleen is a tender-hearted Terri-Poo, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . *** Sensitive Reader Warning *** At the time of rescue Colleen was witnessed being punched repeatedly in the face by a dog breeder. The witnesses were so traumatized by the evil rage they did not think to get his license plate number (to submit to government authorities for prosecution). But the witnesses were successful in rescuing Colleen and five other dogs he was exploiting for the breeding of puppies to sell. Fast movements and loud voices understandably terrify Colleen . Please be extraordinarily patient, comforting, and understanding as she adjusts to you, your loving home, and your lifestyle routine.

Phoebe , 3, yearns for peace-of-mind.    A cruelty survivor, she remembers the abuse in her nightmares and frequently cries, screams, and growls in her sleep. (Please wake her with lights or noise, rather than by touch, to avoid an unintended nip/snap.) Phoebe is a tender-hearted girl with tremendous loving potential. She is a Chihuahua mix, spayed, 3 years of age, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .   Phoebe is good with other dogs (as long as meals and treats are fed to her when she is alone).

Genevieve is a tender-hearted and demure young girl who loves reassurance and gentle petting.    She is beautiful in spirit and appearance, a calico shorthair, spayed, 2 years of age, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Genevieve was pregnant and homeless at the time of rescue. She birthed and raised her babies in a wonderful foster home. Her kittens have since been spayed/neutered and adopted.    Please visit and ask for Genevieve by name.

Tillie wants to believe in people. She is a tender-hearted young Dachshund mix with tremendous loving potential.  Tillie is 2 years of age, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is very wary of strangers and fears they want to hurt her again. But when she realizes you are kind, she warms and offers her devotion.  Tillie was at another shelter and needed us due to past abuse.

Sweet Caroline has pleading eyes, yearning for peace-of-mind. She doesn't understand yet that she's safe and wonders why she doesn't have anyone to love. Sweet Caroline is a tender-hearted Chihuahua mix, 3 years young and spayed, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    She was at another shelter that asked for our help because she fears being spanked any time a hand approaches her hind end.    We don't know for sure what she has endured. But Sweet Caroline needs to know a gentle home where she never has to fear violence or rage.

Honeydew is a tender-hearted, athletic girl with a majestic presence and gentle nature.  She is tall and slender and uniquely beautiful, most likely a blend of Saluki or Greyhound blended with German Shepherd or Husky, 7 years of age and spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Honeydew is good with dogs (large and medium-sized) and kids. She is mostly housetrained and a very secure home and yard is needed due to her escape abilities.  Please help find her a wonderful, loving forever home.

At the time of rescue Felicia had been inside her home with her deceased owner for several days.  She was in poor condition from trauma and hunger and confusion.  You can still see pain and anxiety in her eyes, but Felicia is improving and stabilizing, now groomed and eating premium food and being reassured by volunteers and staff.  Felicia is a tender-hearted Toy Poodle, just under 10 pounds, about 7 years of age, a spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She will do best in a gentle home environment and she is compatible with other sweet dogs.
