Bentley , a humble and well-behaved gentleman, asks for someone gentle to love.  He is a Shih-Tzu, 8 years of age, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, neutered, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Bentley needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

Cammie yearns to feel accepted. She gives doggie kisses to the people she knows approve of her. Cammie is a young, 23-pound sweetheart, a Mini Bully, perhaps with Boston Terrier, good with other dogs, 1 year of age and spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Cammie is also housetrained and compatible with mature kids.    We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity when in new situations. Cammie needs time and patience to adjust to new places.

Marvin , 1 year young, offers warmth and smiles to everyone he meets.  He is a sweetheart German Shepherd, good with dogs and kids, housetrained, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Marvin needed us due to his previous family's hardship.

Biscayne wants someone who will dearly treasure him and never fail him.   He is a super cute and sweet Chinese Crested Powder Puff, 8 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Biscayne needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

We are entranced by Sweetheart's dimples!    But even more charming is the way she crawls into your arms for hugs. Sweetheart doesn't have much self-esteem yet, so we carry her to the courtyard and rooms. She stays low to the ground hoping no one will see her. But when she knows you are kind and you kneel down and call her name, she will race to you. Sweetheart is a medium-size (30 pounds) Heinz 57 with Corgi & Heeler, 1 year of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.

How can Travis , a 2-year-old youngster, look so weathered far beyond his years?  The veterinarians believe it's the result of severe skin burns (especially on his nose, ears, tail) and insect bites, painting a picture of a loveless home where he was stuck outdoors without shelter.  Travis is tiny, just 7 pounds, and he still believes in people and begs for kindness.  He is an adorable Chihuahua, a neutered boy, great with other dogs, debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please help us find a hero for Travis .  His skin is healing and he's very eager to know what a loving home feels like.

Genesis is getting a new beginning -- the fresh start he so desperately needs.  He was found near a Vegas highway and taken to another shelter, which then asked for our help.  Both of Genesis's ears have been severely maimed in multiple places from unknown causes (some believe from animal bites, others suspect human cruelty).  Precautions are needed in the home and yard not to snag/catch/tear his ears further.  Genesis is a very sweet, humble Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), 3 years young, neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Zsa Zsa is a 4-pound angel, a youngster with the innocence and beauty of a tiny deer.  What was this gentle girl doing lost on the streets of Las Vegas with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip ID, not spayed)?  Zsa Zsa is a Chihuahua, 1 year of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She likes being held and reassured and gets along well with other sweet dogs.  Due to Zsa Zsa's tiny size, please take extra precautions for safety in your home and backyard.

Hunter has been with us almost two weeks now and we love watching his daily progress with relaxing and feeling more light-hearted and safe.  Hunter is a cute Bichon Frise & Terrier mix, about 5 years of age, neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He gets along well with other dogs and needs continued regular professional grooming.  We rescued Hunter from another shelter that asked for our help due to his obesity and neglect.

Autumn Rose is a 7-pound, wiggly sweetheart with an enthusiastic personality and she is debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a small Terrier mix, about 5 years of age, and spayed.  Autumn Rose gets along very well with other sweet dogs and she is fascinated by people and their behaviors.  We were asked to rescue her from another shelter due to scarring on one of her back legs, which the veterinarian deemed an old injury from a trauma, such as being hit by a vehicle.  She sometimes favors the leg, but no medical attention is needed.  Autumn Rose may be tiny, but she has a big spirit and we hope you come meet and adopt her.

Update: Sweetheart was adopted on November 23rd! Appropriately named, Sweetheart is an affectionate, loving young lady who debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is a pretty Miniature Pinscher, spayed, about 2 years of age. Sweetheart and her 7 puppies were surrendered to us because her owners feared she had a cancerous growth on her neck and they said they could not afford any treatments or medical care for her. We had a veterinarian examine her and the throat wound was deemed to be easily treatable and non-cancerous. She has since healed beautifully in a foster home. It is tragic that so many animals are given up by their families based on amateur guesses like this, related to fears of what they may be charged by a veterinarian. As in Sweetheart's case, the remedies are often simple and inexpensive. Sweetheart's puppies remain in foster care and all are thriving. Update: Hollywood was adopted on June 2nd! Hollywood loves attention. He is full of spunk and his playful nature will entertain you every day. He is a very handsome young Red Tabby, neutered male, approximately one year of age. We rescued him (and his brother) from a locked garage in a foreclosed home. Hollywood is ready to capture the spotlight in your home, becoming forever safe, and forever strictly indoors. Update: Scooter was adopted on December 14th! Scooter, who we refer to as "Loving Scooter" due to his sweet soul, is one of the many seniors here at Nevada SPCA who yearn for caring homes late in their lives. Most are like Loving Scooter and did absolutely nothing wrong. Someone failed them, and they are the innocent victims. Loving Scooter is a 12-year old Silky Terrier who is good with calm dogs. We rescued him from another shelter, where he did not qualify for adoption due to his age. But he is full of love, and certainly not ready to die, so we were very happy to welcome him with open arms into the safety of Nevada SPCA. If a calmer, quieter sweetheart is a match for your family, please give extra consideration to adopting a senior. They too have a world of unconditional devotion to share.
