Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Daryl is an inquisitive, confident youngster who needs a responsible, loving, forever home.  He is an adorable hedgehog, 1 year of age, and ready for adoption in the Lovebug Room at Nevada SPCA .  Daryl was surrendered by his previous owner due to hardship.

Leon , a youngster so grateful for kindness and care, is changing the way he views and understands people. Weeks ago Leon was found frightened in a family's garage, ill and neglected, trying to find shelter. Since then he has recovered well. We have Leon on a premium meal plan and shaved away all of his knots and tangles. He is bonding here well with people and dogs. Leon is now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. He is a Lhasa Apso & Maltese mix, 2 years of age, and eager to have someone to love unconditionally.

Tristan loves winning your attention and approval.  These new pictures from Pet'ographique capture his goodness and vibrant personality.  Tristan is 1 year of age, a neutered boy, housetrained, and compatible with kids and some dogs.  He became homeless because he is not compatible with cats.  Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Tristan by name.

We're so proud of Drago , a "beautiful little work in progress", a sweet youngster who is recovering from severe abuse and cruelty.  Thanks to dedicated volunteers and staff, Drago has decided that some people can be kind and worthy of his trust.  He is good with other friendly dogs, about 3 years of age, an especially attractive Chihuahua, neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Great thanks to Pet'ographique for these three remarkable portraits showcasing Drago's improvement and loving spirit.

Tony wants to know what a loving home feels like.  Just as his picture was being taken we were telling him how happy he is going to be and that he has to keep up his spirits.  Tony is a thoughtful young Pomeranian & Shiba Inu mix, 2 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Tony likes other gentle dogs.  At the time of rescue he was at another shelter with small leg wounds consistent with bites from another animal.  Tony is healing well and now ready for a wonderful, forever home.

Alphonse is a young, enthusiastic bunny who literally jumps for joy when we approach with his daily salad greens & veggies.  He is a very attractive Angora & Lop mix rabbit, about 2 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA in the Lovebugs Room.  At the time of rescue a man found him in his vegetable garden and was threatening his life.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this handsome portrait to help Alphonse find a loving, stable, indoor-only, forever home.

Buddy Blue is shining and thriving thanks to the care and understanding of volunteers and staff. He has made so much progress and deserves new consideration from visitors, so we are thrilled that Pet'ographique showcased him so handsomely and captured his spirit in these brand new portraits. Buddy Blue is a Labrador Retriever mix, 3 years of age, neutered boy, available for adoption at Nevada SPCA. He is good with other dogs, crate-trained, and loves playing ball.  Volunteers have taught him to walk well on leash and he knows basic training commands. Buddy Blue's special needs are due to violence and abuse he was a victim of in a previous home.  If you throw a toy or item at him, especially things shaped like flashlights, he may think you are attacking him. The memories of cruelty are fading.  His terrific progress needs to continue in an experienced, stable, adult-only home.

Meatball is a young English Bulldog who loves slobbering your chin and cheek with his doggie kisses.  He is incredibly grateful for kindness and care, and eager to express this. Meatball was at another shelter that asked for our help because of his severe skin problems.  He is now on medication for allergies and the veterinarian treating him said we are likely to see dramatic improvement in Meatball's skin within just a matter of days. Meatball is 3 years of age, a neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Bulldog knowledge is preferred for his adoption. We are excited that this exceptionally sweet boy is on the road to recovery!

Giovanni wants someone to commit to him for life.  He is only 18 months of age, but he has already lost at least two homes (first purchased off an internet classified ads web site, then from a home where he lived in a garage and did not get along with the family's older dog).  Giovanni is a very attractive Lhasa-Poo, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He reportedly knows how to use a doggie door and he needs regular professional grooming.  Please ask for Giovanni by name when you visit.

Francois is recovering from severe neglect.  He is not used to being handled much be people, but he's making steady progress with us every day and accepting kindness.  Francois is an especially cute American breed guinea pig, 18 months young, and now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA in our Lovebugs Room.  An experienced home is needed to help him continue reaching his full loving potential.
