Fergie

Image
Fergie , 12, a gentle girl best suited for a leisurely lifestyle, favors tender moments sitting by you, short walks, and lots of cuddling.  She is a Labrador Retriever mix, good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Fergie was abandoned by her previous owner and brought to the shelter by a neighbor/friend.  Please help find her a stable, responsible home for her golden years.

Desiree

Image
Desiree is a radiant young girl with tremendous loving potential. She is a Labrador Retriever & Sighthound mix, 1 year of age, spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Desiree was reportedly being hurt and teased in her previous home by a child with special needs. She is head-shy, afraid of quick movements near her neck, and worried that people are going to steal the food away that they give her.    A very stable lifestyle routine in an experienced home will help her adjust and continue to improve.

Princessa

Image
Princessa , a beautiful young soul, is very gentle and affectionate. She needs a forever home and debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Princessa is a young, medium-size Heinz 57 with Aussie Cattle Dog & Aussie Shepherd, 2 years of age and now spayed. She is housetrained and good with dogs and mature kids.  Princessa became homeless due to no fault of her own and deserves a stable, responsible owner who will cherish her.

Sandy

Image
Sandy is an adorable baby girl who enjoys playing with other dogs and her toys.  She is a Terrier mix with cream coloring and hazel eyes, expected to grow to medium size, almost 5 months of age, now spayed and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Sandy was found on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip ID, not spayed).  Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety.

Emmanuel

Image
Emmanuel , an adorable junior puppy, most likely a Longhair Chihuahua and Papillon mix, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He enjoys other sweet dogs and he is about 10 months of age and now neutered. Please puppy-proof your home for his safety. Emmanuel was brought to us by a couple who were shocked to find him abandoned inside their home (with no sign of responsible ownership). They said they did not know who abandoned them there or how they got him inside.    Emmanuel deserves better and asks for a stable, loving forever home.

Cadillac

Image
Cadillac , gloomy and confused, was found on the streets and efforts to find his previous owner were not successful.  He's been sulking and hanging his head low, but volunteers and staff are comforting him and working to keep his spirits up.  Cadillac is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, about 8 years of age and neutered, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is fine with some dogs, but dominating and intolerant with others.  Please help find Cadillac a responsible and loving home where he will be treasured.

Arnold

Image
Arnold , a Pomeranian mix puppy, watches people carefully and listens to every word, trying to understand better where he is and where he is going.    He is 6 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.   Arnold likes being held and complimented. He is also enjoys bonding with dogs.    He was found in peril in the street near a busy Vegas intersection with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip ID, not neutered).

Rocky & Lovebug

Image
Rocky & Lovebug adore each other so much that they cry if even separated for just a few moments.  They needed us when their previous owner lost her eyesight and could no longer take care of them.  Both are housetrained and compatible with cats, dogs, and older kids.  Rocky is a Miniature Pinscher, neutered boy, 7 years of age.  Lovebug is a Toy Poodle, spayed girl, 10 years of age.  Please help find them a wonderful home where they will always be together and treasured.

Is my unconditional love unwelcome in a disposable society?

We rescued Zeke from another shelter that said he had been abandoned so many times that he developed severe separation anxiety.  He reportedly panics that every departure is a final goodbye and cannot understand why the people he loves unconditionally keep rejecting him.  Zeke is good with other dogs and housetrained.  He is a cream & white Terrier & Toy mix, 5 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  While there are no instant fixes for separation anxiety, a very steady lifestyle routine and crate-training are some of the steps that can lead to diminished anxiety and better peace-of-mind.  Please help find Zeke a hero.

The Rock Vault Puppies!

Image
Andrew, baby boy Carmen, baby girl Doug, baby boy Paul, baby boy Robin, baby girl Stephany, baby girl Andrew , Carmen , Doug , Paul , Robin , and Stephany -- the six "Rock Vault Puppies" (named in tribute to the stars of the hit Vegas show) -- are ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The puppies are very playful and loving, about 3 months of age, and now spayed/neutered.  All are amazing little treasures! The Rock Vault Puppies were abandoned at a cat rescue organization that asked for our help. Their mother is reportedly a Corgi mix and their father is unknown.  We expect the babies to grow to medium size. Please visit and ask for the Rock Vault Puppies by name.

Will you accept my gift?

Cupcake offers you the world's most beautiful gift -- unconditional love.  She is a sensitive Longhair Dachshund mix, about 4 years of age and spayed, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Cupcake gets along well with cats and dogs, plus she is crate-trained too.  She needed us because she is not compatible with young kids.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these portraits of Cupcake to help her find a loving, stable, forever home.

My babies still needed me when they were taken away from me.

Natalie is a very kind girl and thankfully her days of breeding and being exploited for puppies is over.  We had Natalie spayed and she is debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We have mixed information on Natalie's heartbreaking background, but what seems likely is that she was bred again and gave birth about 7 weeks ago.  Her babies were reportedly taken from her too young, and sold or traded or given away as gifts, then she was surrendered to us while she was still pining for her babies.  Natalie is an affectionate Dachshund mix, 5 years of age.  She gets along beautifully with other dogs.  We want her to know that she is valued for her personality and soul, not for being used to breed puppies.

I cannot survive without your kindness.

Veruca was found abandoned outdoors.  This is tragically common, but most domesticated bunnies cannot survive without humans and perish to starvation, the desert temperatures, disease, vehicles, coyotes, dogs, or birds of prey.  Veruca is content now to be at peace, never having to worry about her next meal, enjoying fresh daily salad greens.  She is a petite, beautiful English Spot mix bunny, 18 months young, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these sweet portraits to help Veruca find a responsible, indoor-only, loving forever home.

I don't want to be hurt anymore.

You can see pain, but also hope, in Myron's eyes.  He is still a baby, a Yorkshire Terrier mix, about 9 months of age, neutered, and good with dogs.  Beyond any doubt Myron was terrorized with violence before his previous owners threw him away at a government-funded shelter. We rescued him and healing has begun.  Physically, he is fine, but his emotional healing will take longer.  He is nippy with strangers, worried he will again be the focus of rage. However, Myron is warming up to us and craving reassurance.  He has enormous loving potential. Please help find him a hero who will welcome him into a responsible, peaceful forever home.

I belong in a loving home. Not on the streets fending for myself.

Calypso had been on the Vegas streets for an unknown amount of time and there's no telling how many meals he missed.  But at the time of rescue he was severely underweight.  Calypso is now on premium food and getting ample daily treats, and his weight and energy are coming back.  He is a friendly, intelligent, and devoted youngster triumphantly ready to debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We believe Calypso is a Reindeer Herder mix, about 1 year of age and now neutered.  Please help us find him a wonderfully loving, forever home where he never knows hunger or abandonment again.
