Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Davenport was forlorn from becoming homeless (due to previous owners' homelessness), but perked up when paired with canine friends and engaged in games of fetch.  He is a small Heinz 57 (blend of many breeds) with very unique coloration patterns.  Davenport is 3 years young, neutered, housetrained & crate-trained, good with kids, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Von is a youngster with an adventurous spirit.  Tell him he gets to go with you -- whether a walk, hike, or simple trip to the store -- and his heart sings!  Von is a small, tuxedo Heinz 57 with unique good looks, 3 years young, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Von is good with dogs and kids, plus housetrained and crate-trained.  He needed us due to his previous owners' hardship.

Barbara , 10, a calm-natured girl with doe-like beauty, needs to know what it feels like to be cherished and treasured. (She was rescued from a loveless, neglectful home.)  Barbara is a small Heinz 57 with Chihuahua and other breeds, good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

We happened to capture the moment this morning when Jasper noticed a special face. While he was getting his picture taken he saw the woman who rescued him enter the courtyard. His eyes say it all (so please double-click on the third image). Jasper is a cute and friendly boy, a blend of many small breeds (including Pomeranian, Longhair Chihuahua, and Spaniel), 6 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue Jasper was caught being discarded in a cardboard box and the man was "shoo-ing" Jasper away with voice and arms from getting out of the box. The woman witnessing this heartbreak happened to be a Nevada SPCA staff person and she comforted Jasper in her arms and placed him safely in the shelter with other dogs to bond and play with.

Anthony , a super sweet baby boy, worries about strangers and craves gentle reassurance. Indications suggest he was in an unstable home at best and may have endured and witnessed domestic violence. Anthony is 7 months of age, a small Heinz 57 with Terrier, neutered, good with dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity.

Piccolo Lupo ("Little Wolf") is a tender-hearted young girl asking for a stable home where she can bloom and know love.  She is a small (17 pounds) Heinz 57 (blend of breeds) with mesmerizing eyes, 2 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Piccolo Lupo is very bashful and unsure of herself. She was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.

Teddy Bear is a docile, lovable boy who is grateful for all kindness.    He is a well-behaved, small (17 pounds) Heinz 57 with Spaniel, Terrier & Toy, about 4 years of age, neutered, housetrained, and good with other friendly dogs. Teddy Bear’s previous owner surrendered him to another shelter for reportedly having a “seizure”. We have seen no signs of seizure activity and veterinarians remind us that often seizures are the result of ingesting something toxic in the home. Nevertheless, we want to share all we know, including the possibility that he may have epilepsy and another seizure (or seizures) in his life. Fortunately, anti-seizure medication is generally highly effective and inexpensive. Please share Teddy Bear's picture and help find him a hero.  He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Patrick is a sporty junior puppy, almost fully grown at 9 months of age and only 20 pounds, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is reportedly a Beagle mix, blended with many other breeds, neutered, and good with other playful dogs.  Patrick is all about having fun and finding joy everywhere he can.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help.  He had been in quarantine due to nipping or biting the person who captured him roaming the streets.  But Patrick is very kind and he has excelled in all behavior exams since.  Please visit and ask for Patrick by name.

Cody is a very sensitive young boy who yearns for peace-of-mind.  Once he trusts you he melts in your arms for reassurance.  Cody is a small Heinz 57, perhaps with Spaniel, and a unique cream-colored cotton-ball appearance, about 1 year of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Cody is good with other dogs and he responds well to gentle people.  We rescued him from another to treat his ear infection.  Cody is now healed and ready for a loving, forever home.
