Mel, Michael, Martin

Image
Mel Michael Martin Mel , Michael , and Martin were captured in a warehouse and suffering from severe eye infections.   They have since been socialized and nursed to good health in a very loving foster home. Now, they are spayed/neutered (Mel is a girl and Michael and Martin are boys), 4 months of age, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Their foster mom describes them as follows: Mel is the "investigator" and patrols the rooms, Michael is a "little purr engine", and Martin is happiest sitting in your lap.

Juan, Pedro, and Sarafina

Juan Pedro Sarafina Juan , Pedro , and Sarafina are angelic babies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. All three are playful and very loving.    Their previous owner did not divulge much detail, but said they have the same Chihuahua mother (but very likely different fathers) and they were born on August 8, four months ago.    The trio is now spayed/neutered ( Sarafina is a girl and Juan and Pedro are boys) and ready for forever homes. Please puppy-proof your home and yard carefully for their safety.

Empty cardboard boxes provide us with hours of entertainment!

Boss Boyden Corey Sasha Sasha and her three brothers -- Boss , Boyden , and Corey -- were just hungry & scared newborns when found this summer at an apartment complex with their mother nowhere in sight. We placed them in an experienced foster home for nurturing care and socialization. These babies love exploring and building forts with empty cardboard boxes.  They are confident kittens, compatible with cats and dogs. The kittens are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for their safety. The kittens can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong love and companionship.

Sweetheart puppies rescued from the desert.

Chapman, photographed on October 16. Chapman is a bashful baby boy with a very gentle soul and he needs continuing socialization.  He is 1 of 16 puppies we rescued from the desert, born to two feral (undomesticated) moms -- Australian Cattle Dog mixes, believed to be sisters.  (Efforts continue to capture the mothers, who somehow continue to elude both humans and coyotes.) Thirteen of his siblings have been adopted.  The remaining two will debut for adoption in the days to come as they are spayed/neutered and prepared for adoption. These babies have only had human contact for a few weeks, so they are exceptionally shy and uneasy around people.  But thanks to volunteers and staff socializing them more each day, they are making slow and steady progress -- progress that needs to now continue in their forever homes. We believe the puppies will grow to medium size.  (Their father is unknown.) Chapman is about 5 months of age and n...
