Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Bismarck is a regal, intelligent boy who needs people to love.  He is a German Shepherd, good with kids, housetrained, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Bismarck's compatibility with other dogs is unknown (but he was reportedly raised with small dogs and had no contact with other canines).  We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity with strangers (particularly adult men).  German Shepherd knowledge is required for his adoption please.

Laurel & Hardy , friendly young brothers, American guinea pigs, debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  The boys enjoy being together and share their toys and leafy green salads perfectly.  They are approximately 1 year of age. We rescued them from another shelter that asked for our help after they had been seized from an animal center.  Please visit our Lovebugs Room and ask for Laurel & Hardy by name.

Matisse is a precious, 6-pound Yorkie-Poo who needs your patience as he adjusts to a loving home and your expectations.  He is very kind and humble, 8 years of age, neutered, good with dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Matisse was at another shelter that asked for our help due to severe neglect.  He has diminished vision in his left eye, so please take extra safety precautions around pools, stairs, and other potential dangers.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog Spa for his grooming.

Jasmine offers unconditional devotion and asks for your lifelong commitment to keeping her safe and treasured.  She wholeheartedly adores people and she is compatible with some dogs, if fed separately.  Jasmine is 2 years young, a spayed girl, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Juliet is ready to bless someone gentle with her unconditional devotion for life.  She is a petite Maltese mix, 8 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Juliet's future must be infinitely better than her past.  She was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her very poor condition.  Besides neglect, she had sustained massive trauma (cause unknown).  Now that she's feeling better, Juliet's bubbly temperament is emerging more every day!

Donatello finally has a twinkle in his eyes and hope for his future.  He is a remarkably attractive boy, most likely a Havanese and Wheaten Terrier mix, about 5 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Donatello was terrified and shaking at another shelter that asked for our help.  He was in poor, neglected condition, and showed signs of being abused.  We have been working with Donatello for a few months and he has made great progress.  A gentle, experienced, adult-only home is ideal for his continuing emotional healing and improvement.

Giovanni is a baby boy with irresistible charm.  We are overjoyed that his bubbly personality is emerging and that he is adjusting so quickly to life with one eye.  At the time of rescue Giovanni was at another shelter with a severely lacerated right eye that was far beyond being able to repair.  We had his eye removed and he is no longer in pain.  Giovanni is a small Heinz 57 puppy, most likely an Italian Greyhound mix, about 5 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He loves playing with other dogs.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.

Ava Gardner is an elegant, graceful young girl with a very kind soul and she is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA in our Lovebugs Room.  She is an English Spot bunny, under 2 years of age and spayed.  A quiet, stable, indoor-only home is ideal for her.    We rescued Ava Gardner from another shelter.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this wonderfully sweet portrait to help Ava Gardner find a loving, forever home.

China Doll was so matted and filthy she had sores on her skin.  She was at another shelter and needed dental care too.  We rescued her and one of our staff took her home (as a foster parent) to clean her up and begin her emotional healing.  (We also had dental care provided for her.)  China Doll's transformation has been remarkable, so you'll excuse our exuberance with pampering her in ribbons and a dress.  China Doll is a 5-pound angel, a Toy Poodle, 18 months young, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She likes to dance, be held in your lap, and snuggle up in blankets.  We never want China Doll to feel forgotten or worthless again.

Poochie feels secure in your arms, grateful for the comfort, and he's likely to sneak you with a doggie kiss every now and then.  He is a cuddly young Terrier mix, 1 year of age, neutered boy, now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Poochie is good with other dogs and he is drawn to gentle people.  Another shelter asked for our help because he was very shy, but Poochie is now building and confidence and self-esteem, thanks to volunteers working with him, and he's making good progress daily. 

Greta's story is heartbreaking, but she is well on her way now to a happily forever after, as she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a beautiful, young Terrier mix with expressive, golden eyes, 1 year of age, and now spayed.  At the time of rescue Greta was at another shelter.  She had just given birth, but she reportedly had been found in the streets, alone, with her babies nowhere in sight.  The shelter asked for our help because she was so depressed she did not want to eat.  We rescued Greta and volunteers immediately set to work reviving her spirits and will to live by comforting her and reassuring her that better days were soon ahead.  Greta is now eating full meals and lifting her head a bit higher each day.  Please help Greta find a hero who will shower her with adoration.  We look forward to the day when Greta returns for a visit to show off a magnificent smile and sparkling eyes!

Trixie Rose is an exceptionally affectionate, captivating little lady debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a cream & white Chihuahua, spayed, about 5 years of age, good with dogs and mature kids.  Trixie Rose is very social and enjoys being close to you.  Unconscionably, her previous owners admitted to making her live outdoors only, day and night, which is completely unacceptable.  Please patiently help her adjust to living mainly indoors, knowing she is a cherished and valued member of your family.

At the time of rescue this angelic, 9-pound girl had been on the streets and taken to another shelter.  She had one large head wound and a few smaller wounds consistent with an attack from a large dog.  We rescued her, provided her medical care, and named her Cutie .  She is now healed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Cutie is a delightful Toy Poodle mix, about 4 years of age, spayed, and great with other sweet dogs.  Please plan and budget extra for regular professional grooming to keep her feeling and looking her best.

Movado feels so much better now that the knots and tangles have been shaved away.  He is eager to begin his new life in a loving, forever home where he never has to worry about neglect again.  Movado is a small (18 pounds), friendly, cream & white Cocker Spaniel, 5 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Movado enjoys other dogs and needs regular professional grooming.  We rescued this sweetheart from another shelter.

Asia is a delightful Yorkshire Terrier puppy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is about 11 months of age, a spayed girl, and good with other sweet dogs.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming. We rescued Asia from another shelter because she was timid there and diagnosed with a low-grade heart murmur.  Regarding the latter, medications are not needed at this time, just an easy-going lifestyle, but have your veterinarian monitor her heart murmur in the years to come for any changes and guidance.

Hudson glows with kindness and good cheer.  He is a good-looking Yellow Labrador Retriever, 2 years young, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Hudson was hit by a car and then taken to another shelter, which in turn asked Nevada SPCA for help.  He had road rash wounds and a very sore hip, but he surprisingly did not have broken bones.  Hudson is now healed and bounds around playfully as if the incident never occurred.  We love Hudson's resilience and innocence and want to find him a home where he will always remain light-hearted and happy.

Lucy likes to greet new people by gently licking their hand and then sharing her luminous smile.  She is a Rottweiler, 10 years of age, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is 73 pounds of unconditional love!  Much of her past is unknown.  Lucy was surrendered to another shelter when her previous owners moved away.  Will you please help us find Lucy the best of homes so that she never faces rejection again?

Kira is a very gentle soul debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a cute Poodle mix, great with other dogs, about 7 years of age and spayed.  Kira was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her ear infection and obesity.  Her infection has been treated and we have her on a weight management diet.  Kira weighs 26 pounds, so table scraps are out of the question, and she needs to gradually and safely reduce weight by sticking to nutritious dog food and taking very short, frequent walks.  Kira is an angel and we ask for your help in finding her a responsible, stable home where she will get the loving care and attention she needs.

Bambino loves to crawl in your lap or sit right beside you with his paw on your leg.  He is an affectionate young Shih-Tzu & Terrier mix, 1 year of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Another shelter asked us to rescue Bambino to give him medical care and rehabilitation.  They believed he had been hit by a car.  His pelvis was broken.  After two months of medical care and foster care, his latest x-ray revealed that his pelvis had healed well.  Bambino's foster mom gave him a glowing report and said he loves cats & dogs & kids, and he is housetrained.

Theodore delights in cuddling in your arms for long periods of time while you are reading or watching TV.  He is an extraordinarily adorable Australian Shepherd mix puppy, 4 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Another shelter asked us to rescue Theodore and treat the urine burns on his back paws, presumably from standing in filth at a severely neglectful home.  We placed Theordore in a loving foster home where he was socialized with cats and dogs, and the skin on his back paws fully recovered and re-grew hair.
