Happy & Lovable

Image
Happy & Lovable , brother and sister, joyfully reunited, love giving doggie kisses to people and each other.  They are Jack Russell Terriers, 5 years of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Happy & Lovable were at another shelter, after their previous owner passed away, which asked for our help so they could stay together forever.

Dizzy & Daffy

Image
Dizzy & Daffy screamed with elation when we reunited them and they have been beaming with good cheer ever since! The brothers, 10 years of age, are Chow Chow mixes, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . We rescued the boys from another shelter, where they were separated. We had loaded Daffy into Nevada SPCA's SUV, along with other other just-rescued animals. When he saw Dizzy approaching the SUV, Daffy began crying and barking. Dizzy leaped into the SUV and raced to his side, where they continued joyfully screaming and barking at each other.    The boys haven't left each others' side since.    They are bonded for life and there is only one minimal adoption fee for the pair.

Lola & Tank, soul-mates

Image
Lola & Tank , soul-mates for life, triumphantly debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Both are gorgeous, well-behaved German Shepherds, 4 & 5 years of age, spayed/neutered, housetrained, and good with kids and large dogs.    Tank loves playing fetch and Lola enjoys shadowing Tank and always being by his side. At the time of rescue Lola & Tank were at another shelter and both had broken front legs, presumably from being struck by a vehicle (or multiple vehicles). Tank's leg eventually healed, but Lola's breaks were too severe and her arm could not be saved.    Lola has adjusted well to three legs, thanks to dedicated foster home care since her amputation. Lola & Tank need to remain together forever. Please help find a hero for them.

Barney & Bazooka

Image
Bazooka often puts his arm on Barney's shoulder and they fall asleep cuddled up in a ball together.  We rescued these young boys from another shelter to reunite them and keep them together forever.  Both are 2 years of age, friendly, and neutered. Bazooka is a small Terrier mix and Barney is a Chihuahua.  The youngsters debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Patrick & Pixe -- rescued and reunited!

Image
Patrick & Pixie debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Patrick was at another shelter that asked for our help because of his need for a leisurely lifestyle (mild heart murmur). We discovered his mom, Pixie , was there too, in a separate kennel. They have stayed close at each others' side ever since. They are very petite and gentle Chihuahuas (6 & 7 pounds), 6 & 7 years of age, spayed/neutered, and good with other dogs.    Please help find them a wonderful, loving forever home.

Jericho, Penn, Porgy, Sylvia, Toby & Ty

Image
Jericho Penn Porgy Sylvia Toby Ty We rescued these six Chihuahuas yesterday from another shelter. This is the most difficult time of year for animals (fireworks, extreme heat, motherless newborns, pregnant animals, vacations, more), so the shelters and rescue organizations are in overdrive helping each other.  Jericho , Penn , Porgy , Sylvia , Toby , and Ty have widely varying personalities, but all have loving natures and long for the stability of a responsible forever home. All six debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Jericho , neutered boy, 2 years young, sporty & fun-loving, good with other dogs. Penn , neutered boy, 1 year young, 6-pound cutie, good with other dogs. Porgy , neutered boy, 3 years young, cheery & radiant, good with other dogs. Sylvia , spayed girl, 5 years of age, tender-hearted and humble, good with other dogs. Toby , neutered boy, 3 years young, affectionate and calm-natured, good with other dogs. Ty ...

Conrad, Melody, Swishie, and Tulip

Image
Conrad, 3-year-old boy. Melody, 2-year-old girl. Swishie, 1-year-old boy. Tulip, 2-year-old girl. Conrad , Melody , Swishie , and Tulip are shy youngsters, ready to bloom in responsible, forever homes.  They were among the 41 dogs who survived a house fire earlier this autumn in North Las Vegas (45 dogs perished).  These four were at another shelter that asked for our help due to their timidity.  We find all four to be gentle and sensitive, already improving with care and socialization from staff and volunteers.  They need experienced homes with kind guidance and stable lifestyle routines.  They are 1-3 years of age and spayed/neutered.  Conrad and Swishie are boys.  Melody and Tulip are girls.  We believe they will do best in homes with big sister or brother dogs to help them adjust and reach their full loving potential.

Maggie & Star

Image
Maggie & Star are incredibly charming sisters with a magical bond and they debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The girls are beautiful and exceptionally friendly German Shepherds, about 7 years of age and spayed.  They were at another shelter that asked for our help so they could remain together forever.  Their previous owner was a gentleman in his 80's who was losing his vision and could no longer care for them.  Please share their pictures and help us find Maggie & Star are a wonderful, loving home.

Faith and Liberty

Image
Faith Liberty Faith and Liberty need heroes.  Their previous owner reportedly denied them proper socialization in an apparently crude attempt to make them "guard dogs".  These gentle, loving young girls refused, and only became withdrawn and fearful, so they were surrendered to another shelter.  We rescued Faith and Liberty almost one month ago.  Since then volunteers and staff have been working with the girls to help them realize that humans can be kind.  Both are still very shy, but improving every day.  Faith and Liberty are Labrador Retrievers, approximately 18 months of age, good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Beethoven & Shia

Image
Beethoven & Shia are bright-eyed young English Springer Spaniel mixes debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  The boys were at another shelter and needed our help so they could stay together for life and get veterinary care for their ear infections.  They had been surrendered there in neglected condition with matted coats.  When together, they are overflowing with joy and curiosity about the world!  The boys are 1 year of age and neutered.  They need to remain together for life. Please help us find them a wonderful, responsible home where they will reach their full loving potential!

Spanky & Tamrin reunited!

Image
Spanky & Tamrin are now reunited soul-mates, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Spanky , a gentle 10-year-old Dachshund, from another shelter. Three days later the shelter called and said that young Tamrin , a 4-year-old Dachshund, had been crying for him for 3 straight days and stopped eating. We were shocked to learn that Spanky even had a partner and immediately agreed to rescue Tamrin so they could be reunited. We later learned that the pair had been confiscated from a home, suggesting they endured a terrible past and forged an especially strong bond by relying on each other for emotional support. Spanky & Tamrin are together forever and we ask for your help in finding them a wonderful, stable, loving forever home.

Please be patient with us.

Willey, baby boy Wilson, baby boy Willey and Wilson are baby brothers who look like tiny deer. The boys are very bashful and still need to gain self-esteem and confidence.  An experienced and patient home is needed for their continuing blooming. At the time of rescue this past summer they were newborns at another shelter that asked for our help.  We rescued their mother too, a Yorkshire Terrier mix named Megan (pictured below), and their two other siblings.  We placed them in a loving foster home so that Megan could raise her babies in peace and comfort. Megan has since been spayed and adopted earlier this autumn.  Also, their two siblings will be ready for adoption in the days to come. Willey and Wilson are now 5 months of age, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  We can only speculate about their father, but believe he is likely to be a Chihuahua.  Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. We...

"It's you & me against the world."

Image
Gus & Nadine , like so many other pairs of dogs who survive abandonment and homelessness together, develop an even stronger bond.  We rescued Gus & Nadine from another shelter so they could stay together forever.  They are brother and sister, small and attractive Terrier mixes, about 5 years of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Both are exceptionally sweet and ask only for kindness and compassion.  Please help us find Gus & Nadine a stable, loving home where they never have to fear rejection again.

Lamar & Lola, young Brittany Spaniels with a magical bond.

Image
We rescued Lamar & Lola , young and neglected sweethearts, from another shelter so that they can stay together forever.  They are small Brittany Spaniel mixes, brother and sister, 1 year of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Lamar & Lola are so bonded that you will often see one of them resting a head on the other's shoulder.  Their noses are recovering from severe sunburning and Lamar needs twice-daily eye-drops for a dry eye.  Please ask for Lamar & Lola specifically by name when you visit.

Miles & Mikey, handsome Dachshunds for adoption, brothers and soul-mates.

Image
Miles & Mikey were starving for attention, very strongly bonded brothers in jeopardy of being split up at another shelter.  We rescued them so they could stay together (and both needed dental cleaning, which we had provided for them).  Miles & Mikey are handsome, outgoing Dachshunds, about 8 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Dachshund knowledge is preferred for their adoption. Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this terrific portrait to help the boys find a loving, forever home together.

The New Year's Eve Puppies are debuting for adoption!

Image
Park Sparkle Cirque Torq We rescued Princess (pictured below), a sweet and petite Longhair Chihuahua & Terrier mix, and her four newborn babies from another shelter.  Princess had given birth just a few days earlier, on New Year's Eve, but for reasons unknown to us her previous owner surrendered Princess and her newborns there at such a critical, fragile time. We immediately placed mom and babies in a loving foster home for tender care and socialization.  The babies, brother Torq and his three sisters -- Cirque , Park , and Sparkle -- are incredibly sweet and playful, melting the heart of everyone who meets them. Once her babies were weaned, Princess was then spayed and adopted.  Now, her puppies are 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We expect them to remain small, like their mom. The New Year's Eve Puppies can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong love...
