Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Sport is enamored with everyone nice he meets -- cats, dogs, children, and adults.  His favored things include sleeping by your feet and getting good belly rubs.  Sport is a handsome, confident tuxedo, 6 years of age, neutered boy, previously declawed (front paws), ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.  Please visit the Treehouse Playroom and ask for Sport by name.

Shawndra is blessed with incredible charm.    This amiable young girl likes sitting near you leisurely, chatting with you, and listening to your thoughts about the day.    Shawndra is a beautiful shorthair, 2 years of age and spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue Shawndra and her 3 babies were dangerously outdoors and on the streets. We placed mom and babies in a wonderful foster home for nurturing care.    Her kittens have since been spayed/neutered and adopted. Now it's Shawndra's turn to find a loving, forever home too.

Leon finds goodness in every cat, child, adult, and dog he meets. He just wants to feel accepted and have everyone around him content and belonging too.  Leon is a silver tabby with jewel eyes and mousy good looks, 8 years of age and neutered, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Leon's favorite activities include lounging on cat trees, playing hockey with catnip toy mice, and batting at paper balls he finds on the floor.  He needed us due to his previous owner's declining health.

Hawkins never tires of cuddling, petting, and affection. If it was possible to at your side all day long, he'd loyally be there, purring his heart out contentedly. Hawkins is a young silver tabby (and look closely above his pink nose for his white diamond and white heart), 3 years of age and neutered, great with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    He needed us because he was abandoned at a veterinary clinic by his previous owner.   Please visit the Ocean Playroom and ask for Hawkins by name.

Dottie , 10, a quiet-natured sweetheart, treasures life's simplest pleasures, including quality time with you and coziest spots for her catnaps.  She is exceptional with other cats and we prefer adopting her to a home where she will have another feline for companionship.  Dottie is a lovely shorthair with jewel-green eyes, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Horus is very resourceful when it comes to toys. Hairpins and shoelaces will work just fine if his toys are on the other side of the room.  More than toys though, Horus likes being with people, cats, and dogs.  He is a handsome spotted tabby & white shorthair, 3 years young and neutered, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Kevin enjoys walking on your shoulders and taking shoulder rides.  He wants to be as close to you as he can, even if just curling up at your side while you read or watch TV.  Kevin is an especially attractive shorthair, 1 year of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is fine with cats, but won't tolerate seeing or hearing a dog.

Patrick is happiest resting on your lap in peace.  He is a good-natured and affectionate tabby, 3 years young and neutered, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Patrick likes gentle cats and dogs.  He has been healing well since his rescue, but his veterinarian was not able to save his infected left eye. Patrick is adjusting fine and ready to join a loving, forever home.

Sigrid is exceptionally playful and jovial, loves all of her toys, and if she can't find a suitable toy will just wrestle with her tail. She is a beautiful young silver tabby with pleading eyes, 1 year of age and spayed, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Sigrid was rescued in the nick of time from another shelter. Please visit and ask for her by name.

Betsy tries to play with all of her toys at once, bouncing from one to the other.  She is an exceptionally pretty and golden-eyed medium-hair feline, about 4 years of age and spayed, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Betsy is good with cats and older kids, but still love bites like a kitten, which could scare or confuse a young child.  She needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Lucinda , who survived extreme evil, thanks to tons of love that included nurturing care & healing in a loving foster home, triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is an 18-month angelic silver tabby, spayed, and compatible with other very gentle cats. Early this year a man caught teenagers behind his business torturing Lucinda with firecrackers.  The kids had taped them to her tail and she was severely burned on her paws too (and her left ear) trying to remove them. Lucinda's tail was maimed beyond repair and had to be amputated.  She walks tentatively on front legs because her claws no longer retract, and drags her hind legs (though we suspect she was born with this birth defect, which made her a helpless victim to the kids' cruelty). Lucinda's foster mom says she is wonderfully playful, exceptionally affectionate, and happy to cradled in your lap for cuddles. Please help find Lucinda the most peaceful of homes so she only knows the bes...

Breeze , now triumphantly recovered from severe burns, is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She was at another shelter and needed our help.  Breeze had reportedly been stuck in a man's car engine.  Unable to remove her, he drove the car to the shelter, resulting in her serious injuries on her back and hips.  Breeze has thrived with months of loving care from staff and volunteers.  She purrs in your arms when you hold her and follows you around to remain in your presence.  Breeze is a lovely tabby, 4 years of age and spayed.  Please visit and ask for Breeze by name.

Ocean is an earnest, bright-eyed gentleman who craves attention.  He was found abandoned outdoors, with no sign of responsible ownership, declawed (front paws), and in poor condition.  Ocean is bouncing back to good health well, eating premium food and enjoying being showered with loving reassurance by volunteers.  He is 4 years of age and now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Ocean will greet you at the door when you return home.  We believe he will do best in a home as the only cat so that he doesn't have to share you with others.

Christian is a junior kitten who enjoys games of hide-and-seek, playing with your hair, and purring in your arms.  He is fascinated by people and their behaviors, always trying to learn and understand.  Christian is an adorable brown tabby, under 1 year of age, good with cats, now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue Lexy had painful burn marks across her whole back (from an unknown cause).  For many weeks now she has been treated by veterinarians and recovering well.  Lexy now has hair growing back and even her scarring is minimal.  Today, she triumphantly debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Lexy loves to jump in laps for affection.  She enjoys napping in the coziest cat beds and looking out the window ("cat TV").  She is a gorgeous blend of many breeds -- perhaps Ragdoll, Siamese, and Snowshoe -- about 4 years of age and spayed.

Jacuzzi wows us with his facial expressions, soft chirps, and exceptionally social personality.  He is a stunningly handsome Savannah mix, 2 years young, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Jacuzzi is larger than most domesticated cats, compatible with other friendly cats, and an experienced owner is strongly preferred.  Jacuzzi needed us when his previous owner reportedly moved away and left him behind outdoors.  Please ask for him specifically by name when you visit.

Farmia is a mellow, handsome boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He was a good sport letting us hold him in this position so we could show off his extra toes (polydactyl) on each paw.  Farmia's extra toes help him envelope you in wonderful hugs!  He is about 6 years of age, neutered, and good with other sweet cats.  Farmia needed us when his previous owner passed away.
