Bumblelion

Image
Bumblelion is discovering he is magnificent and worthy of love! This bashful young boy was at another shelter that asked for our help because he was trembling in the corner of his kennel. We placed Bumblelion with a friend (Buffy, posted earlier today) and he promptly felt at better ease. Bumblelion is a golden-hearted Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, 3 years of age and neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Please be extraordinarily patient and understanding as he adjusts to you and your lifestyle.

Crystal

Image
Crystal , betrayed with cruelty, worries about who she can trust.    She is terrified of people with loud voices, but crawls toward gentle and soft-spoken people and pleads for reassurance. Please help find Crystal a hero.    She is a medium-size blend of Yellow Labrador & Shar Pei, 2 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with dogs (her size and larger), and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Joey

Image
Joey , 9, a noble and poised boy, is wonderfully gentle and so grateful for kindness. Shortly after his rescue (he had been at another shelter and run out of time or space), he greeted volunteers and staff in our courtyard, smiling and running into each person's arms with gratitude.    Joey's body and face resemble a Yellow Labrador Retriever in almost every way, but his distinct ears give him a look all his own. He is neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.   We believe he has the temperament to be great with mature kids.

Handley

Image
Handley studies his puppy toys to figure out how they work and then he enjoys them even more. Handley is an intelligent, adorable baby boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He is a cream merle Heinz 57, likely with Yellow Labrador and Aussie, expected to grow to medium or large size. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.   Handley gets along very well with other dogs and adores people who talk sweet to him.   He was found abandoned in a southern Nevada community with a dense coyote population.

Nadia

Image
Nadia , glowing and resplendent, eagerly awaits someone to love with all of her heart.  She is a medium-size (40 pounds) Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, 4 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Nadia is very picky about other dogs, especially around food or toys.  We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help.

Mitzie

Image
Mitzie , 8, cannot see you, but she senses your spirit and presence. Touch and speak to her gently and she overflows with adoration and gratitude. Mitzie is a medium-size Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, blind, spayed, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter and her background is otherwise unknown.    Mitzie loves people with all of her heart and doesn't want another dog to interfere with her bonding, so a one-dog household is needed.    Please share Mitzie's pictures to help find her a hero.

Hansel

Image
Hansel , a young and tender-hearted boy, is adjusting relatively quickly and changing the way he understands people and interaction with humans. He is 1 of 35 Blond Angels rescued from a home where previous owners were convicted of animal cruelty. Hansel is a Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, with White Shepherd, 3 years young, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Hansel is still shy, but he's no longer running from us. He will approach us for affection. Rather than holding himself low, he now stands tall with his head up. He is compatible with medium and large-size dogs (but not small ones due to what he witnessed in his previous home). More of the Blond Angels will be ready for adoption in the days to weeks to come based on their emotional progress and their spay/neuter surgeries. Thank you very much to all of the dedicated volunteers who are helping us socialize them. More details on the Blond Angels .

Mitzie

Image
Mitzie , 8, is all about the kisses. In the arms of someone kind, she overflows with joy and gratitude. Mitzie is blind in both eyes, so very thorough safety precautions throughout your home and yard are needed.    She is a Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Mitzie is fine with some calm dogs, but not ones who are rowdy or might jump on her.    We rescued this sweetheart from another shelter which asked for our help.    Please help find a hero for Mitzie .

Victor

Image
Victor does not yet know that he is safe or that the world can be a kind place for him. He was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his severe timidity due to past abuse and lack of socialization. Victor will certainly improve with time, patience, and the guidance of a big sister or brother dog. He needs someone very understanding who will nurture his development and not force him into situations he cannot yet handle. Victor is a young Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, 2 years of age, now neutered and debuting for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA.    We look forward to the day when he is confident, at peace, and standing up proudly without fear in his eyes.

Abigail

Image
Abigail is ready to bloom and shine in a peaceful, stable home where she realizes she will have nothing to fear.   She is a pretty Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, 3 years young and spayed, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Abigail from another shelter and what she endured in a previous home is unknown. But she is terrified of strangers and won't tolerate them lunging at her.  Our experience is that Abigail quickly accepts kind people and does very well as long as she is not forced to move against her own will.  Please help find a hero for Abigail (in a very experienced, adult-only home where she can reach her full potential).
