Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Starlet is beginning to understand she is worthy of love.    She is a young Cocker Spaniel with tremendous loving potential, 1 year of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We suspect Starlet was never once brushed or groomed prior to her rescue. Her coat was so matted we had to have it entirely shaved away to give her a fresh start.    Starlet is surprised when the staff and volunteers pay attention to her. She tries to hide her face and hope no one notices her. Please be extraordinarily patient as she adjusts to you, your home, and your lifestyle.

Pete , 13 and deaf, is so spry and young-at-heart that you can see he still feels like a puppy on the inside.  He is a Cocker Spaniel, housetrained and crate-trained, good with dogs and kids, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Consistent hand signals, like thumbs up, are important for communication with him.  Pete needed us when his previous owners moved into an apartment that does not allow pets.  Please share Pete's post to help find him a hero.

Tapioca , 12, has endured so much hardship and heartbreak, but he still believes in kindness. He is a mellow Cocker Spaniel, housetrained, good with dogs, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Tapioca approaches women with ease, but fears men unless they are sitting down (until he gets to know them). His coat shows signs of malnourishment, so please keep Tapioca on a premium, nutritious meals and treats. (We expect his coat will look remarkably different in 6-9 months.) Please help find a hero for Tapioca .

Juliette feels unworthy of love and doesn't yet know she is safe. She is beginning to lift her head when we talk sweetly to her. At the time of her rescue from another shelter she was holding her head down hoping no one would notice her. Juliette is a docile Cocker Spaniel, 5 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please praise her every day and help her understand that she is a treasure and worthy of immense, lifelong love.

Trevor wants to you know that you approve of him. He looks at you closely, with such longing, and feels better when he hears you say all is well and he's safe.  Trevor is an endearing Cocker Spaniel, 9 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help with his ear infections and dental needs. Trevor is healed and feeling better, and ready to bless someone with unconditional love.

Buffy , the gentlest angel, is in the twilight of her life and needs a hero.  She is not suffering and still brings kindness and love.  Buffy is a Cocker Spaniel, a teenager, spayed girl, good with dogs, ready for adoption (or forever foster) at Nevada SPCA.  Buffy is deaf and mostly blind, but she likes being in the sunshine and in bright rooms where she can partially see her surroundings.  She is so docile that she won't eat out of your hand, but instead waits for you to place the food or treats down so she doesn't accidentally bite you.  Buffy deserves a hero.  She was surrendered to us in severely neglected condition by her previous owner.  Special thank you to Hair of the Dog spa for cleaning and grooming her to give her a fresh start.
