Cheza

Image
There's a reason Cheza likes to help her caretakers clean her kennel. She nudges the squeegee around with her nose and pushes the blankets out with her front paws. Cheza knows as soon as her kennel is clean she gets to drink from the water hose and play in the splashes.  She is a fun-loving girl, a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, 5 years of age and spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  She needed us due to her previous owners' financial hardship.

Great update on Hannah's adoption!

Image
Thank you to Hannah's parents, Mary & Wayne, for sharing this follow-up: "We adopted Hannah from you a year ago. She needed a hero due to her age (14) and her vision problems. Adopting Hannah was the best thing we ever did. She is the sweetest dog in the world. She still have plenty of spunk, and as you can see from this picture, she loves her toys. She regularly sees a doggie eye specialist who has her vision issues under control. We couldn’t love Hannah any more than we do."

Princeton

Image
Princeton overflows with happiness when he feels safe and trusts the person holding him.  He is a charismatic junior puppy, a blend of Catahoula Leopard & Shepherd, 10 months of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Princeton was at another shelter that asked for our help because he is head-shy and fearful of hands and feet (being struck or kicked).  He is ready to bloom in an experienced, peaceful, loving home.

Queenie

Image
Queenie , an amiable and brilliant girl, will likely surprise you in countless good ways.    She loves to swim and splash. "She can run forever," says the triathlon coach volunteer who trains for competitions with her. Queenie is good with kids and shakes your hand to let you know when she needs to go outside. She is a beautiful Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, young-at-heart at 8 years of age, spayed, housetrained, fine with some large dogs, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Thor

Image
Thor , blessed with a dazzling personality and good looks, is a young boy eager to join you for hikes, jogs, walks, boat trips, camping trips, and years of other incredibly fun adventures. Thor's beaming smile is complemented by blue sunbursts in both eyes (a large one at the top of his left eye and a tiny one at the bottom of his right eye).    He is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix (believed to be 75% Catahoula Leopard), 1 year of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    Thor is housetrained, crate-trained, gives kisses, and enjoys older kids.  He may be compatible with female dogs (unconfirmed).

Hannah

Image
Hannah , innocent at 14, deeply appreciates every kind touch and comforting word.    She is the first of five teenagers rescued from another shelter who is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Hannah is an Australian Shepherd & Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with beautiful merle coloration, a spayed girl, compatible with cats and dogs.    She has impaired vision in both eyes and asks for a hero.

Cash

Image
Cash , a playful, outgoing, and intelligent youngster, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is a Catahoula Leopard Dog & Australian Shepherd mix, 2 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and housetrained and crate-trained.  Cash was at another shelter and needed our help because he reportedly fears some men and won't tolerate them being near him or those he loves. We don't know what he has endured, but he has been doing exceptionally well with our staff and volunteers.

Queenie

Image
Queenie steals the hearts of volunteers and staff with her agreeable personality, enthusiasm for adventure, and compatibility with kids and adults.  She is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, 7 years of age and spayed, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Queenie may shake your hand to signal it's time to let her in the backyard to relieve herself.  She is compatible with some big dogs (but not small ones) and needs an experienced owner for her challenges, which include Houdini-like agility and escape abilities.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing her spirit in this new portrait.

Henry

Image
Henry likes meeting people and engaging in new experiences. He is sporty and inquisitive, terrific with people and dogs, and best suited for an active lifestyle routine.  Henry is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, 1 year young, now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  We saved Henry in the nick of time from another shelter.
