Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Carrie , 12, a dainty and humble girl, is ready for a fresh start with someone who will adore her.  She is a tiny Pomeranian, good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Carrie was found on the streets in very poor and neglected condition with a hernia, mammary tumor, and more problems. We had extensive veterinary care provided to save her (hernia repair, tumor removal, dental care, spay surgery, more).  Please share Carrie's picture to help find her a wonderful hero for life.

Rockefeller is a solemn Maltese mix longing to know what being loved feels like. He was found on the streets, close to a freeway, in poor and neglected condition. Rockefeller is now groomed, neutered, chipped, up-to-date on shots, eating premium food, and healing well from dental care. Rockefeller is gentle, 6 years of age, good with other sweet dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Mason Jacob Jacob Mason and Jacob are charming boys with affectionate natures. They are Bearded Collie and Tibetan Terrier mixes debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We believe they are likely son and father. We honor the lifelong bonds of soul-mates, but Mason and Jacob do not appear to have a strong bond. They can be adopted separately or together. Both are housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and neutered. Mason , 1 year young, is especially fond of kids. Jacob , 4 years of age, is especially fond of women and he prances in joy when walking at their side. Both will re-grow long, wavy coats. Because of severe matting, we had both of them completely shaved for a fresh start. Please plan and budget for regular pro grooming to keep them feeling their best.

Fred , 9, a very thoughtful and kind Basset Hound, enjoys cats, dogs and kids of all ages. He is housetrained and crate-trained too. Fred needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship and he is recovering from neglect (ear infections, likely malnourishment, more).    He enjoys cuddling and he is neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Zeke , 4, becomes a bit more puppy-like and jovial each day, which is beautiful to witness as he reaches his loving potential. At the time of rescue his underbelly was so painfully matted he yelped if your hands got close to the knots. Now, the mats are gone, but he remembers how much it used to hurt and prefers not having his stomach touched. Zeke is a chipper boy, a blend of many attractive breeds (likely Akita, Aussie, Shepherd, more), 4 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.   He accepts some dogs, but he is very picky about which dogs he likes and so a one-dog household may be ideal for Zeke .

Archie , 10, doesn't yet know that mighty love is about to come his way. We are working to lift his despair and melancholy with attention and with companionship from other rescued dogs. Archie is a medium-size (30 pounds) Australian Shepherd mix, neutered boy, rescued from another shelter in poor condition. He is well-behaved and housetrained. We had dental care provided for him, along with joint supplements and a premium food plan, and he's feeling better physically. Please share Archie's post and help find him a gentle hero. Thelma & Louise , a cheerful and affectionate pair, are happy to begin a new life.  Both are Bichon Frise & Toy Poodle mixes, 10 years of age, likely sisters, good with other dogs, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  The girls were found on the streets in poor condition (requiring grooming, dental care, more). They deserve to know what a responsible and loving home feels like.  The girls are bonded for life, together forever.  Please help find them a hero.

Ashley Marie is ready to steal hearts and find out what a loving home feels like.    She is a young, endearing Malti-Poo debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is still puppy-like, so please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Ashley Marie is unrecognizable from the time of her rescue. Her dirty, matted coat is gone and she's enjoying premium probiotic meals, now spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Ashley Marie was found on the streets in neglected condition and with no sign whatsoever of responsible ownership.    She is 1 year of age and good with other sweet dogs.  Please visit and ask for her by name.

Donald & Keifer , father and son, are social and wonderfully friendly boys with affectionate natures.    They are housetrained and good with other dogs. Now shaved, they are unrecognizable from their matted, neglected condition upon arrival. (We rescued them from another shelter so they could remain together forever.)    They are Toy Poodle mixes, 7 & 5 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

  Randall , an outgoing, spunky, and strong-willed junior puppy, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is a blond-cream Wirehaired Dachshund mix, 10 months of age, now neutered.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. Randall likes other dogs and he is crate-trained.  He was found in neglected condition on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership.  Randall likes and expects to get his way, so please give him kind guidance and help him understand what is expected of him.

Barnaby doesn't seem to know he weighs 85 pounds or that he's no longer a puppy. We hope he never loses his innocence and enthusiasm. Barnaby is most likely a Briard mix (though we had much debate about his breed make-up) and he is 2 years young, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He enjoys other dogs, but he may be too energetic and overwhelming for small dogs or young children. We shaved his neglected coat, which was long, thick, and matted.  Please plan for future grooming.

Frisco, this morning, debuting for adoption. Frisco is an endearing little boy and so hopeful he will finally know what being loved feels like.  He is a Papillon & Maltese, 6 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Frisco enjoys bonding with people and dogs.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog Spa for his beautiful grooming.

Dorothy , rescued from a neglectful home, is thriving with all of the care and pampering and adoration.  She is a young Maltese, under 2 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Dorothy likes other sweet dogs and needs someone patient with her while she adjusts and blooms.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog spa for her beautiful makeover, helping give her a fresh start for a bright future.

Juliet is ready to bless someone gentle with her unconditional devotion for life.  She is a petite Maltese mix, 8 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Juliet's future must be infinitely better than her past.  She was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her very poor condition.  Besides neglect, she had sustained massive trauma (cause unknown).  Now that she's feeling better, Juliet's bubbly temperament is emerging more every day!

Tinsel is a kind junior puppy recovering from severe neglect and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a Toy Poodle mix, 9 months of age, a spayed girl, yearning for love and security.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard, as well as plan and budget for regular professional grooming. Tinsel is generally good with other dogs, except around food.  We believe she has experienced starvation, so she does not take food for granted, and needs to be fed treats and meals away from other dogs or children.  Tinsel's progress has already begun and she needs to continue blooming in an experienced home.

Beethoven , named for his lyrical personality, was out on the Vegas streets alone, neglected, mostly deaf, and with numerous dental problems.  He is a Maltese mix, about 10 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Beethoven is a very gentle soul and he gets along well with other dogs.  He is now cleaned up and eating premium food, and his 7 problem teeth have been extracted.  Please use consistent hand signals to help with communication and take extra safety precautions for him in your home and yard.

Tiny Tim is 95 pounds of incredibly lovable sweetness, an Olde English Bulldogge debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Tiny Tim is exceptionally friendly, about 5 years of age and now neutered. He needed us due to his previous owners' financial hardship. Tiny Tim is reportedly housetrained, crate-trained, good with children, and compatible with other dogs (except perhaps around food, though we have not witnessed any food aggression). We discovered that Tiny Tim is deaf, so the consistent use of hand signals and other body language is very important for communication with him.

We rescued Lamar & Lola , young and neglected sweethearts, from another shelter so that they can stay together forever.  They are small Brittany Spaniel mixes, brother and sister, 1 year of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Lamar & Lola are so bonded that you will often see one of them resting a head on the other's shoulder.  Their noses are recovering from severe sunburning and Lamar needs twice-daily eye-drops for a dry eye.  Please ask for Lamar & Lola specifically by name when you visit.

Skyler was terrified and exceptionally reserved at the time of rescue.  But thanks to patience and kindness from volunteers and staff during the past several weeks, he is gaining self-esteem and blooming.  Skyler is a delightful young Toy & Chihuahua mix, 1 year of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is great with other dogs and sports the cutest smiles.  A gentle, stable home will help Skyler continue making progress toward reaching his full loving potential.

Ursula is an earnest young girl pleading for a better future.  The victim of extreme neglect, we had to have her body completely shaved to get rid of all of knots and mats.  Ursula doesn't realize yet she is very pretty, but her self-identity of worthlessness will soon be replaced with confidence in a loving, stable home.  Ursula is a Yorkshire Terrier & Toy mix, 2 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Ursula gets along well with other dogs.  She needs an experienced, gentle home where her progress will continue.
