Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Emerald begins to beam with hope. She's no longer hanging her head in despair.    She doesn't understand leashes, so we're carrying her from room to room, but she wants to learn. Emerald is a sensitive girl ready to bloom in a loving, forever home where she will be showered with reassurance and kind guidance.    She is a medium-size (42 pounds) Retriever mix, 5 years of age, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .    Emerald was at another shelter that asked for our help with her timidity and fear.

Brian Coby Jade Peter These four gentle babies -- Brian , Coby , Jade , and Peter -- crave reassurance and do not yet realize they are safe. Their personalities are ready to bloom as they feel more secure and confident. Their four other siblings will be ready for adoption later this month. The 8 puppies were at another shelter that asked for our help. They survived a horrific past (that neither their mother or their 9th sibling survived). Their mother was reportedly a Bully & Retriever mix and their father unknown. These four pups are six months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for hero adoptions today at Nevada SPCA .

Theo , a puppy 6 months of age, intently studies the people he meets and carefully assesses situations.  He yearns for order and stability.  Theo is ready to bloom in a loving home with a steady lifestyle routine.  He is an attractive, blond Heinz 57 with Fox Terrier, good with other dogs, housetrained, neutered, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Theo was surrendered by his previous owner due to financial hardship.

Cookie , a demure girl eager to devote herself to someone kind, thrives with order, routine, and stability.  We don't know what she has endured, but strangers concern her and she watches them closely to learn their intentions.  Cookie is a gorgeous girl with warm eyes, a blend of Rottweiler and Smooth Collie, 6 years of age and spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  She was at another shelter and needed our help.  An experienced home can help her understand she is safe and treasured, allowing her to bloom to her full loving potential.

Priscilla desperately pleads for kindness. Saved from a loveless home, she does not yet know what being treasured and adored feels like. Priscilla is a petite Toy mix, 3 years young, good with other dogs, housetrained & crate-trained, and now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . She is reportedly afraid of children, but we do not know what she endured. Please help find her a very gentle home for life where she can bloom.

Barbara is a tiny young girl, terrified of people, and desperate to know where she belongs.  She is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Barbara spent a few weeks in a foster home and made some progress with socialization. But while she prefers to be near people, she still panics when people attempt to touch her.  Barbara will bloom as she realizes she is safe and enjoying a steady lifestyle routine.  Please share her post to help her find someone very experienced and kind.

Bobby is a tender-hearted and very bashful boy longing for a peaceful home environment where he can bloom.  He is an incredibly attractive Spaniel mix, 4 years of age and neutered, housetrained, good with dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Bobby became homeless because he is not good with young children.  We believe he will thrive best in a very gentle home.

Thank you to the Nevada Highway Patrol and Las Vegas Metro officers who successfully and safely captured this sweet boy on the freeway on January 25. Michelangelo , a Rottweiler mix who smiles when you praise him and talk sweet, is 1 year of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Michelangelo shut down portions of I-515 and US 95. According to news reports (see below for links), Nevada Highway Patrol and Las Vegas Metro officers worked together to corral him to safety after a 30-minute chase. Michelangelo is afraid of strangers, but he has enormous loving potential. He is ready to bloom with a gentle hero who will help him build confidence and self-esteem. Lynnette yearns to feel accepted and appreciated.  She is very bashful, and anxious around strangers, but enjoys kind and gentle people who praise her.  Lynnette is 2 years young, a beautiful blend of Shepherd & Ridgeback, spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, good with mature kids and large dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Avalon , young boy dreaming of a life where he understands what it feels like to be treasured and cherished.  He is remarkably sweet and hopeful, a cream & white Chihuahua, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Avalon's previous owners said they had "no time" for him.  He is ready to bloom and reach his full loving potential.

Annie is a petite young girl with a broken heart. (Her previous owner went into hospice.) She is a Toy Fox Terrier, 1 year of age and spayed, housetrained, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Annie craves being held and comforted.

Jordache is a bashful youngster ready to bloom in a stable, gentle home with a steady lifestyle routine.  He is a super cute Powder Puff mix, 3 years of age and neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Jordache may adjust best in a home with a big sister or brother dog.  We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity.

Eugene breaks our hearts with his pouty lip and confused eyes, but he will soon understand that he is safe. We rescued him from another shelter yesterday and he is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Eugene adores other dogs. He is 1 year young, a Toy & Chihuahua mix, neutered, and very gentle. Eugene is ready to bloom. Please be extraordinarily comforting and patient with him as he adjusts to you, your home, and your lifestyle.

Katerina wonders who she is supposed to love.    Handed from family to family, she cannot fathom the reasons (no fault of her own) for her rejection by those she adored unconditionally. Ingrid is sensitive young girl, a medium-size blend of Siberian Husky and Shiba Inu, 3 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.

Oh Johnny , rescued from a loveless home, prefers to hide his face so people won't look at him.    He has no self-esteem because we believe he was never once told how special he is. Until now. We tell him he's magnificent and he looks up at us with disbelief, and a tiny bit of hope. Oh Johnny is a German Shepherd mix with enormous loving potential. He is 4 years of age, neutered, and compatible with other large dogs. He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He didn't want to be photographed this morning. But decided we could take his picture if he could lean his head against his caretaker's lap.     Oh Johnny is ready to bloom. Please share his picture and help him find a lifelong hero.

If you patiently give Selena time to warm to you, her fear subsides and she begins smiling and shining. Selena , reportedly rescued from a loveless and neglectful home, was denied proper socialization.    But she is ready to bloom once she is with people who treasure her and on a stable lifestyle routine.    Selena is a unique, medium-size (36 pounds) blend of Corgi and Mini Bully (with a very long body and short legs), 1 year young and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Jitterbug , a tiny, 3-pound sweetheart debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a beautiful Longhair Chihuahua, 5 years of age, spayed girl, good with other dogs.  Jitterbug was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity. She is afraid of strangers, but responds very well to soft voices and a tender touch.  Please help find a peaceful, stable for Jitterbug where she can bloom.
