Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Kiko dances in joy and seeks out fun, while his brother Pepe cautiously observes and focuses on feeling safe.  The boys are as different in temperament as night & day, but so strongly bonded they can never be separated.  Both are Toy Poodles, 7 years of age and neutered, crate-trained, good with dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  They needed us when their previous owner moved into a nursing home.

To see Ronny is to want to hug and reassure him.  He is gentle, yet very playful, and he adores people and dogs.  Ronny is a junior puppy, 6 months of age, a Terry-Poo (Terrier & Poodle mix), now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. Bridgette is now beaming and jovial, eager to get started with her new life!  She is an adorable young Malti-Poo, 2 years of age, spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Bridgette enjoys people and dogs.  She was found in poor condition by a veterinary hospital and she had no sign whatsoever of responsible ownership. A gentle, humble soul asking for nothing but kindness.  Matthew is a Shih-Tzu, 12 years of age, neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Matthew was the victim of heartbreaking neglect.  He was at another shelter that asked for our help.  He is partially blind in both eyes, so please take thorough safety precautions for him throughout your home and yard.  We had dental care provided for him and 11 of his teeth had to be extracted.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog Spa for his grooming transformation. Rembrandt is a 6-pound Malti-Poo with a big personality. He adores people he trusts and likes to bark disapprovingly at strangers.  Rembrandt will continue to bloom in an experienced home with kind guidance and socialization. He is good with other dogs, about 4 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Annette is an endearing girl who yearns for reassurance and comforting.  She is a lovely Poodle, 8 years of age, spayed, housetrained, good with dogs and mature kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog Spa for Annette's grooming transformation to help her recover from severe neglect.

Matisse is a precious, 6-pound Yorkie-Poo who needs your patience as he adjusts to a loving home and your expectations.  He is very kind and humble, 8 years of age, neutered, good with dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Matisse was at another shelter that asked for our help due to severe neglect.  He has diminished vision in his left eye, so please take extra safety precautions around pools, stairs, and other potential dangers.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog Spa for his grooming.

Frisco, this morning, debuting for adoption. Frisco is an endearing little boy and so hopeful he will finally know what being loved feels like.  He is a Papillon & Maltese, 6 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Frisco enjoys bonding with people and dogs.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog Spa for his beautiful grooming.

Danielle is an endearing Bichon Frise mix puppy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is 6 months of age, now spayed and good with other dogs.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard, as well as budget for regular professional grooming. Rescued from severe neglect, Danielle is beginning to understand that she is worthy of love.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog spa for cleaning and grooming her so beautifully for a fresh start.

Dorothy , rescued from a neglectful home, is thriving with all of the care and pampering and adoration.  She is a young Maltese, under 2 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Dorothy likes other sweet dogs and needs someone patient with her while she adjusts and blooms.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog spa for her beautiful makeover, helping give her a fresh start for a bright future.

Brook likes to be held gently, sneaking kisses on your cheeks.  She is so grateful for kindness and care.  Brook is a Poodle, 5 years of age and spayed, good with other sweet dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Brook was on the Vegas streets with no sign of responsible ownership, terribly neglected, and severely injured (a dislocated leg, consistent with being struck by a vehicle).  Thanks to the generosity of donors, we had hip surgery provided for her (which has been successful) and Hair of the Dog spa beautifully cleaned and groomed her for a fresh start.  Please help find someone wonderful to adopt Brook so she will always be cherished and safe.

Buffy , the gentlest angel, is in the twilight of her life and needs a hero.  She is not suffering and still brings kindness and love.  Buffy is a Cocker Spaniel, a teenager, spayed girl, good with dogs, ready for adoption (or forever foster) at Nevada SPCA.  Buffy is deaf and mostly blind, but she likes being in the sunshine and in bright rooms where she can partially see her surroundings.  She is so docile that she won't eat out of your hand, but instead waits for you to place the food or treats down so she doesn't accidentally bite you.  Buffy deserves a hero.  She was surrendered to us in severely neglected condition by her previous owner.  Special thank you to Hair of the Dog spa for cleaning and grooming her to give her a fresh start.

At the time we rescued Lady from another shelter, her previous owner had neglected her so severely she could not see through the tangles and filth in front of her eyes.  Hair of the Dog spa groomed her and revealed her expressive eyes.  Lady's "after" picture is so powerful because you can see her full of hope.  Lady is a Poodle & Shih-Tzu mix, 9 years of age, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Sugar's fresh start is beginning at 13 years of age.  She is a cheerful Poodle, spayed, good with other dogs, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Sugar has diminished vision and hearing, or as we'd rather say, she still has some sight and she can hear some sounds.  At the time of rescue she was reportedly being taken to a veterinary clinic to be euthanized.  Sugar's spectacular grooming is courtesy of the caring people at Hair of the Dog spa and they gave her green ribbons and polish in tribute to St. Patrick's Day.  Please share this post to help find a hero for Sugar .

Morning of his debut for adoption Before his groom at Hair of the Dog spa After his groom at Hair of the Dog spa We commend the creativity of Hair of the Dog spa , who decided on a lamb-like haircut to save as much of Rascal's coat as possible.  The results are amazing and Rascal feels so much better.  Rascal is a Bichon Frise, 5 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is housetrained, good with other dogs, and spirited in personality (too fussy and irritable to be around young kids).  We also had dental care provided for Rascal that included cleaning and 14 teeth extractions.  Please help Rascal find a wonderful home where he will never be neglected again.

Beethoven & Shia are bright-eyed young English Springer Spaniel mixes debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  The boys were at another shelter and needed our help so they could stay together for life and get veterinary care for their ear infections.  They had been surrendered there in neglected condition with matted coats.  When together, they are overflowing with joy and curiosity about the world!  The boys are 1 year of age and neutered.  They need to remain together for life. Please help us find them a wonderful, responsible home where they will reach their full loving potential!

Zeke, rescued from another shelter. Zeke, on the morning of his adoption debut.
