Bullwinkle loves attention, especially when it comes with ear scratches or daily salads of leafy greens & veggies.    He is a Lop & English Spot mix bunny, 2 years of age and neutered, awaiting adoption in the Lovebugs Room at Nevada SPCA.

Marco likes to sit regally and peacefully on the cat trees in the center of the Cat Condos at Nevada SPCA and greet visitors with his gentle presence. He loves the cat trees, but will climb down if you throw his toys for him to catch or if you want to play a short game of "pattycake or boxing" (pawing at your knuckles). Newton offers perfect love -- unconditional love -- and cannot understand why he is homeless for being too devoted. Ichabod is a polite little gentleman ready for a new life full of peace and comfort.  He is a Dwarf and English Spot mix bunny, 1 year young and neutered, awaiting adoption in the Lovebug Room at Nevada SPCA.  Ichabod likes tossing his toys, hops forward to greet people he knows, and enjoys every bite of his daily fresh salads.  We rescued him from another shelter.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for his handsome portrait.

Jacob is a solemn little gentleman politely asking you to accept his unconditional love in exchange for a stable, forever home. He is good with other dogs and drawn to gentle people. Jacob needs your patience because he's never had a caring home before. He doesn't know how to walk on a leash and he doesn't understand what is expected of him. Loma's heart is full of love for everyone who is kind to her.  She offers the world's greatest gift -- unconditional devotion -- to the person who will welcome her into his/her family for life.  Loma is a young, enthusiastic Heinz 57 with Bully & Retriever, 2 years of age, spayed girl, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is housetrained and enjoys every minute of quality time with you daily.  Loma cannot be around other dogs and requires a one-dog household.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for her stunning new portrait.

  Update 2: Benny has been adopted! Update 1: New information came to light since his original post indicating that Benny is 20 years of age, not 15. Benny , 20, is happiest in your arms, burying his face in your neck and purring contentedly. He also loves other cats. Benny's previous owner died. He has some minor neurological damage (from an old trauma that we have no details about) and cannot jump, but he walks and eats and cuddles regularly. Benny is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Margie hopes you will accept her unconditional love for life.  This tiny young girl has survived so much, but seems to know that a peaceful home soon awaits her.  Margie is a 4-pound Chihuahua with mousy good looks, 2 years young and spayed, great with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue Margie was in another shelter and in dire need from being struck by a vehicle.  We had hip repair surgery provided for Margie and she made a beautiful recovery.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these incredible new portraits to help Margie's dreams come true.

Maria , sweet 16, gently taps your arm for your attention and reassurance.  Once you make eye contact with her, she begins purring and rubbing her head in your hands. We need your help please finding a hero for Maria .  She is a silver & white shorthair with jewel-green eyes, previously declawed (all four paws), spayed, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Maria is on a special diet (W/D).  Thank you to Pet'ographique for capturing her spirit in these beautiful portraits.

Harlow is a lovely young soul making beautiful progress with trust and socialization.  She is drawn to soft-spoken people enjoying their attention. Harlow is a Cinnamon & Dutch mix bunny, 1 year of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued her from another shelter and she gave birth two days later.  Her three sons will be ready for adoption later this week. Scotty continues to progress beautifully and we are celebrating his improvements with these wonderful new portraits courtesy of Pet'ographique .  He is an American Bulldog mix, 5 years of age and neutered, housetrained, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Scotty enjoys long, leisurely walks and may be compatible with some dogs.  Thanks to dedicated volunteers and staff, he is recovering from extreme neglect and abuse.  Experienced, adult-only home needed to help him continue reaching for his full loving potential.

Please give consideration to DeMarco , a cheerful boy with amazing charm.  He gives the brightest smiles and enjoys sunbathing (napping in the sun) and frolicking in wading pools.  DeMarco is 5 years of age, a handsome blend of Collie & Retriever (and other Sporting breeds), neutered, housetrained & crate-trained, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He gets along very well with adults, but reportedly needs a home without cats or children. Uno hopes you will let him melt your heart, as his physical disabilities in no way reduce his capacity to love.  He is a young Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), 1 year of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Uno from another shelter.  He had sustained massive trauma (from an unknown source) resulting in partial blindness in his right eye and neurological damage.  Uno walks in a shuffling, crawling manner.  When you tell him it's time for treats he throws his front arms up over his head in an enthusiastic Hallelujah! and his whole body wiggles with joy. Cheyenne , who is so devoted and eager to please, is excelling with dog day care training.  Volunteers taking her to the professional training center note that she loves running on treadmills, playing fetch, and practicing sit & stay commands for treats.  Cheyenne is a young Boxer & Bully mix, 2 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with kids, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Cheyenne may be compatible with some dogs, but her timidity with strangers has been the biggest obstacle to getting her adopted.  Thank you to Pet'ographique for these beautiful new portraits to help Cheyenne .

Stephen hopes you will accept his whole heart, all of his unconditional love.  He enjoys trotting at your side loyally during walks and he is housetrained and great with other dogs.  Stephen is a Jack Russell Terrier, 10 years of age and neutered, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is healing well from severe neglect (chronic ear infections in his past have resulted in a permanent head tilt).  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for his handsome new portraits to help find Stephen a forever home.

Rainbow's colorful personality is shining so beautifully, thanks to volunteers and staff who have helped her recover from abuse.  Her favored activities include fetching tennis balls and kissing people on their chins.  Rainbow is a golden-eyed Bully mix, 5 years of age and spayed, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is wonderful with people, but needs to be the only animal in the home. Blue/Tulip, 2015 Blue/Tulip, 2015 Blue, 2011 Blue , now named "Tulip" , is 15 years of age and dearly loved.  Some of you may remember her from years ago (2011) when rescued from abuse and neglect.  Her mom, Jamie, says she is very spunky and loves attention and her family pack.  Jamie says Tulip has been "an amazing gift" to her family. Included here are her new portraits (taken at Pet'ographique ), along with her picture from 2011. Blue's feature in September, 2011.
