Jada and her puppies need a foster hero!

Image
Jada and her 6 babies -- just rescued and needing a foster hero please! If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person. Jada is a young Bully mix, wonderfully friendly and loving, always wagging her tail and enjoying being around people. She is 3 years of age. Her babies are less than 2 weeks of age.    Their previous owner abandoned them over a family dispute.

Punahele

Image
Punahele ("favorite") often carries his toys in his mouth to keep them close by. He also enjoys being cradled and babied. Punahele was a newborn at the time of rescue from another shelter. His foster mom bottle-fed him and raised him in a nurturing environment with other dogs. He is now 3 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption Friday (September 16) at 10am at Nevada SPCA.    Punahele is a tuxedo Bully mix, expected to grow to medium or large size. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.

Colin and Drake

Image
Colin Drake Natasha with two of her babies shortly after their April rescue Colin and Drake , shining baby boys, are ready to join loving, forever homes.  You may recall the 35 Blond Angels (White Shepherd & Yellow Labrador mixes) rescued in the spring from owners convicted of animal cruelty.  Colin and Drake were just days old at the time.  We placed them in a wonderful foster home with their mother, Natasha , and their two other siblings, for nurturing care and socialization.  Colin and Drake are now 3 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org).  ( Natasha needs more time to recover from her spay surgery and she will be ready too in the days to come.  The foster family adopted Colin's and Drake's siblings.) More information on the April 19 rescue of Blond Angels.

Maddie and Ralphie

Image
Maddie, baby girl Ralphie, baby boy Maddie and Ralphie , sister and brother, were just one day old when we rescued them and their mother Rosemary , a Chihuahua.  We immediately placed mom and babies in a nurturing foster home so that Rosemary could raise and care for her babies in a home environment.  Maddie and Ralphie are now 5 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. Though their father is unknown, we expect both to remain small.  Maddie loves to snuggle after her play sessions and she enjoys being brushed. She can be shy at times, but she generally adores people and dogs. Ralphie is reportedly just as lazy as he is boisterous, according to his foster mom. Being the center of attention gives him great joy and he is very friendly. Ralphie loves to rest at your side after playing.

I love to hide toys all around the house.

Lilly likes to hide her toys just as much as she likes to play with them.  She is a super sweet, vivacious baby girl, a Toy & Chihuahua mix, about 4 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Lilly has been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home since her rescue as a newborn.  She is good with dogs, cats, and older kids.

Bandit, a Yorkshire Terrier mix baby boy debuting for adoption today.

Image
Bandit is a precious baby boy who loves to romp and play.  He listens to you carefully, always trying to learn.  At the time of his rescue in July, Bandit was just a few weeks old and at another shelter that asked for our help with him and his mom, Olivia, a Yorkshire Terrier mix.  (His dad is unknown.)  We placed them in a wonderful foster home for loving care.  Bandit is now 3 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. (Olivia will soon be available for adoption too.)

Baby Gretchen, July 2013 Baby Gretchen, now named Nilla Wafer, July 2013 Baby Gretchen being watched over by big sister Maxine Maxine and Baby Gretchen You may remember Baby Gretchen , the newborn (1 week old) rescued in the spring with very severe lacerations to her hind left leg.  During an emergency surgery, an advanced medical care clinic in Las Vegas was able to save her life and amputate her leg. Baby Gretchen has since been in a very loving foster home with a foster mom, Jennifer, and a big sister, Maxine.  In June, we shared Jennifer's video of Baby Gretchen in a life vest, swimming in her pool to strength her other three legs (please see the video again below). Baby Gretchen has now been adopted by her foster mom! Jennifer says that Baby Gretchen (now named Nilla Wafer) loves to charge out from under the bed to play with Maxine, then dash back under.  She also loves playing hide-and-seek in the backyard.
