Dharma prefers being the only cat in the room, but may tolerate another cat who respects her personal space needs. We rescued her from another shelter.

Gandhi , 9, a baby-faced Rottweiler, treasures a leisurely lifestyle and peaceful environment. He is compatible with other large and gentle dogs. Gandhi has arthritis in his back legs, so he likes walks to be short and he enjoys laying on very plush and cozy blankets and pillows. Bunny , 12, takes treats so gently and politely that her mouth never touches your fingers. She is an angelic German Shepherd, housetrained, good with dogs and mature kids, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Bunny likes a relaxed lifestyle with lots of napping. But when the doorbell rings, she springs into action to greet her visitors. She needed us when her previous owners left her behind with friends who decided they could not keep her.

Frida , a gorgeous young Persian mix, thinks hair ties and hair bands are the most interesting "toys" and bats them around like she is still a kitten.  Frida is 3 years of age, spayed, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  A quiet home is ideal for her. (When stressed, she can get inflammation in her gums, called stomatitis, so a leisurely and orderly home environment is ideal.)

Carrington , 10, glows with the cheeriest of smiles. He needs a hero please for his emotional and physical challenges. Carrington is a Pomeranian, good with other dogs, neutered boy, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued him from another shelter. He requires a leisurely lifestyle due to his heart murmur, which precludes surgery to remove the fatty growth on his chest.    Emotionally, he can get grumpy and fussy when he doesn't get his way, so an experienced, adult-only home is needed to prevent nipping/biting.

Nancy reminds us that every single day with quality of life is precious.  She is a happy girl, a pretty Miniature Pinscher, 8 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  When Nancy's previous owner surrendered her she was in distress from heart failure, wheezing and struggling to breathe.  Nancy is now on daily medications and breathing well.  There was damage to her heart, so she requires a very leisurely lifestyle (free of strain, heavy exertion, or extreme heat).  Please help find Nancy a hero who will treasure the moments that she has left on Earth, whether it be months or years is unknown.

Charisma is a delightful young girl with the most pleasant personality and she is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is a Toy Poodle mix, 2 years of age, spayed, and good with other sweet dogs.  We rescued Charisma to clean and groom her from neglect and to help her possible leg injury.  We found out that instead of an injury Charisma just has a mild slipping kneecap (luxating patella) in her right hind leg and surgery is not needed at this time (but a more leisurely lifestyle may be best for her).  Please come meet her and let her win your heart!

Muffin is a young girl with a gentle soul and a flamboyant appearance.  She is a Shih-Tzu & Lhasa Apso mix, 2 years of age, spayed, and now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued her from another shelter to treat her mid-grade heart murmur -- she is on daily medication for life and needs a leisurely lifestyle.  Muffin sits in our laps and kisses our chins and cheeks in gratitude.  Muffin enjoys other friendly dogs too and she needs regular professional grooming.  Please ask for her by name today when you visit (new Sunday adoption hours are from 10am-1pm).
