Bambino

Image
Bambino delights in snuggling, nose kissing, and cradling.  He wants to be your baby, forever. He is a cute, petite Chihuahua & Miniature Pinscher mix, 2 years young, good with dogs and kids, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Bambino was surrendered by his previous owners.  The reason cited was that they didn't know how to housetrain him.  (Our experience is that kind guidance and a steady lifestyle routine completes housetraining.)

I could hear them laughing inside, but they wouldn't let me in the house.

Trixie Rose is an exceptionally affectionate, captivating little lady debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a cream & white Chihuahua, spayed, about 5 years of age, good with dogs and mature kids.  Trixie Rose is very social and enjoys being close to you.  Unconscionably, her previous owners admitted to making her live outdoors only, day and night, which is completely unacceptable.  Please patiently help her adjust to living mainly indoors, knowing she is a cherished and valued member of your family.

Why wouldn't they let me indoors?

Dozy's eyes are captivating and this young girl has stolen our hearts. We cannot understand why her previous owner was making her live outdoors, day and night, rather than indoors as a cherished member of the family. Dozy is a beautiful Yorkshire Terrier mix, about 3 years young, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Dozy is loving and friendly and compatible with other dogs.  Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming for her.

I just wanted to be a family member, but they wanted me to be a breeding machine.

Shella is awakening to the immensely bright possibilities of feeling loved and cherished. At the time of rescue though, like countless others who are regarded with dollar signs instead of affection, she was reportedly being used by a backyard breeder to make money off of her puppies. Shella is now spayed and debuting for adoption today.  We want to find her a forever home where she will never again have to doubt whether she is loved. She is a pretty Chihuahua mix, tri-color with mocha & tan & white, plus golden eyes, about 2 years young. Please be patient with Shella as she completes housetraining and adjusts to living primarily indoors.  We doubt she has ever walked on carpet before, or napped on a couch, or cuddled with a person in front of a TV set. In her portrait Shella is sporting a faux-fur lined jacket donated by a volunteer to help keep her warm in her kennel.

I was used as a pawn in a family squabble.

Update: Pugslee was adopted on February 4th! Pugslee is an incredibly adorable puppy who will thrive in a calm home, free of melodrama. Like so many other innocent animals, he needed us when one of his previous owners reportedly surrendered him in order to punish another family member. Pugslee is a Pug & Chihuahua mix, neutered boy, approximately 4-5 months of age, debuting for adoption today. He enjoys other friendly dogs.  He is strong-willed, so an experienced owner is needed, plus he needs patience and good guidance to complete housetraining . Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for Pugslee's safety and protection.

I am starting to understand that I am worthy of love.

Unloved and neglected for many years, her spirit barely lit after banishment to living just in a backyard without much interaction, Victoria is now elated to be getting loving care.  Her soul is soaring! Victoria is becoming quite the jazzy girl, cherishing the spotlight, barking at us if we dare to ignore her. Victoria is a Labrador Retriever, spayed, about 6 years of age.  She is recovering well physically too -- at the time of rescue she was in very poor condition -- and we had an operation provided for her to repair ingrown eyelashes. She is compatible with cats and dogs.  Please be patient with her adjusting to living primarily indoors and completing housetraining.  We seriously doubt she has ever had the pleasure of walking on carpet before, and until her portrait sitting at Pet'ographique to help her find a forever home, we don't believe she ever before laid on a couch.  Please adopt Victoria and help her continue to bloom.  It is wondrou...

I want to feel safe.

Update: Sugar Lynn was adopted on January 20th! Sugar Lynn's expressive eyes suggest she has witnessed far more than any dog ever should.  She has a pleading expression, hoping for tenderness and compassion instead of screaming and trauma. Her exact background is unknown, though she was surrendered to us due to serious personal problems in her previous home. Sugar Lynn is understandably bashful, but she responds well to soft-spoken people.   She is a Teacup Chihuahua, spayed girl, about 18 months of age, debuting for adoption today. Sugar Lynn is good with other sweet dogs.  She is reportedly paper-trained, so she may need your patience and guidance to complete housetraining (in terms of using a backyard and/or walks).

I am sometimes afraid of my own shadow.

Update: Baby New Year was adopted on January 8th! Baby New Year is still an infant at heart, but in actuality a 5 year old Longhair Chihuahua who is seeking a forever home.  He is neutered and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Baby New Year loves to snuggle and soak up your adoration.  He is a tiny boy, but has as much unconditional love to share as the other dogs. He needed us because his previous owner could not housetrain him.  But the foundation for housetraining is a steady lifestyle routine in a patient, loving home environment with positive rewards for good behavior. Baby New Year is compatible with other sweet dogs, and mature and gentle children.  He is fearful of adult men he does not know, vacuum cleaners, and sometimes his own shadow.

Maybe I just needed good guidance, that's all.

Update: Cocoa Bean was adopted on January 8th! Cocoa Bean lost her previous home just days before Christmas because she was having accidents in the house. But without a doggie door or a regular walking schedule or frequent bathroom breaks, or even crate-training, was this really her fault? Our experience is that the key to housetraining is a steady lifestyle routine and schedule.   Cocoa Bean is a pretty little lady, spayed, a brindle Chihuahua, about 6 years of age, and she debuts for adoption today. Besides getting along well with other dogs, she is reportedly fine with cats and older kids.

How could they just give me away to a stranger on the internet?

Update: Bella was adopted on December 18th! Fortunately, Bella is now safe at Nevada SPCA, in good hands until she finds a forever home. But this baby girl could easily have found herself in a danger situation when her previous owner peddled her off on one of those anonymous web sites where people give away or sell old furniture and other items. Horrified that she was being treated like property, a kind woman took her and brought her to us to be spayed and adopted into a loving home. We love this little doll!  She wiggles with joy and anticipation when she greets you. Bella is most likely a Poodle and Wheaton Terrier mix.  She is spayed and about 3-4 months of age.  She may grow to medium size. Bella loves playing with other friendly dogs.  She will need your patience and good guidance to complete housetraining.  Also, please plan on regular grooming care and careful puppy-proofing of your home and yard.

I yearn to live indoors with you and feel like part of the family.

Update: Midnight was adopted on November 22nd! We can only imagine Midnight's confusion at being banished to live outdoors, trying to peer in windows at his loved ones indoors who he ached to be with. He will be overjoyed to be in a loving home where he has indoor access. Midnight is a sweet young giant with a friendly, cheery nature. He is a Great Dane mix, neutered male, about 2 years of age.  He is good with other large dogs (no small animals) and he is reportedly good with mature, older kids. Midnight is eager to please, so we believe he will pick up housetraining quickly if you are patient with him and provide positive guidance and a steady lifestyle routine.

I am ready to shower you with sunshine.

Update: Max was adopted on October 29th! Seriously, can you get more handsome than this angelic face? Max is a joyful young sweetheart debuting for adoption today.  He is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, neutered male, one year young. Besides getting along well with dogs, he reportedly is compatible with children, cats, ferrets, and birds. Max needed us because his previous owner did not have enough time for him and made him live outdoors in the backyard.  He needs to live primarily indoors as a cherished member of the family, so please be patient with him and help him establish a steady routine and complete housetraining. He is a bit rebellious on a leash and needs basic dog training.  Please be willing and able to provide this training for him.  He is eager to please, so we believe he will catch on quickly.

Can I lean on you?

Update: Goldie Bear was adopted on October 20th! We love Goldie Bear's human-like face.  She is gorgeous! And she is beautiful on the inside too.  Though shy at first, she nestles with those she likes, leaning on them for bonding, and she may even sneak in a kiss or two. Goldie Bear is an intelligent, good-natured, medium-size Shepherd and Retriever mix.  She is spayed and approximately 18 months of age. She needed us because her previous owner said he had "too many dogs". Goldie Bear is not only good with other dogs, but she is reportedly compatible with kind children of all ages. She needs to learn to live primarily indoors as a cherished member of your family, and we believe she will pick this up quickly.  So please be patient with her and provide positive guidance for housetraining. Goldie Bear debuts for adoption today.

I look to you for good guidance and a lifetime commitment to me.

Update: Kanyon was adopted on January 6th! Sunshine always seems to follow this fun-loving, exuberant youngster. Kanyon debuts for adoption today.  He is a handsome Yellow Labrador Retriever, neutered male, just a year of age. Besides loving people and other friendly dogs, he is reportedly compatible with kind children of all ages. Please provide Kanyon with basic dog training to help him channel his energy into good behavior. He needed us when his previous owner said there was a drastic change in the family's living environment.  He said Kanyon is housetrained and crate-trained.

Please help me always keep my wonderfully positive attitude.

Update: Sandy was adopted on October 16th! Sandy is a lovely puppy with a bubbly personality. All it takes is one look in her sparkling eyes to see that she is bursting with joy for life. Sandy is a small Terrier mix, spayed female, about 8 months of age. Sandy needed us because her previous owner said she "worked too much" to keep her. She delights in playing with other dogs and soaking up your approval and adoration. Sandy may need your patience and good guidance to complete housetraining. Also, please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. Sandy debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

They call me a Lovebug Puppy.

Update: Oreo was adopted on September 25th! When it comes to stealing hearts, Oreo is a champion. This baby boy is enormously endearing. We all smile watching him play fetch or snuggling up for affection. Oreo is a Labrador Retriever puppy, neutered, about 9 months of age. He needed us when his previous family moved away without him. Besides loving adults and getting along well with other dogs, he also reportedly enjoys children of all ages. Oreo will need your patience and good guidance to complete housetraining. His previous family reportedly made him live outdoors, day and night, which is unacceptable for many reasons. Let this sweetheart live indoors with you as a cherished member of your family. Oreo debuts for adoption today.

I just want someone to love me.

Pablo longs for a kind connection. He is a sensitive little boy with a heart of gold. He is a Chihuahua, neutered male, 3 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Pablo needed us when his previous owners lost the family home. Besides being compatible with dogs, he is reportedly good with cats and mature kids. He is crate-trained and knows how to use a doggie door, but may occasionally have accidents so your patience and good guidance are needed to help complete housetraining. Please visit and ask for Pablo by name and spend time with him on our adoption patio.

Babies like me need your patience and good guidance.

Update: Snoopy was adopted on September 10th! Snoopy is an outgoing, very playful puppy, full of energy and spunk. He is an exceptionally attractive Beagle, one brown eye and one blue eye, neutered male, about 6 months of age. We always emphasize the importance of carefully puppy-proofing your home and yard to ensure safety and protection. We have mixed reports about Snoopy with other dogs. He reportedly lost his previous home due to fighting with another puppy, but we have seen no indication of aggression from him here with other dogs. Snoopy debuts for adoption today. He will need your positive direction to complete housetraining and Beagle knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption.

My love is forever, so please be committed to me.

Update: Bruce was adopted on September 11th! Bruce is a super cute puppy with intense devotion for those he knows and trusts. With strangers, he is shy, though he warms up relatively quickly with kind people. Bruce is an adorable Chihuahua mix, neutered male, about 9 months of age, debuting for adoption today. Besides enjoying other fun dogs, he is reportedly compatible with older, mature kids. We have mixed reports on housetraining. He is reportedly crate-trained, but occasionally has accidents inside. However, this was before we had him neutered. With your patience and good guidance, and a stable lifestyle routine, he should complete housetraining in short order . Bruce needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

I would love to become your baby girl, if you can commit to me for life.

Update: Princess was adopted on September 18th! Princess is a regal, precious puppy who enjoys playing with kind, mature children. She is a beautiful Chihuahua mix, spayed female, about 9 months of age. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. Princess needed us due to her previous owners' financial hardship. She is compatible with dogs and she is reportedly crate-trained, but not yet fully housetrained (so your patience and guidance and a stable lifestyle routine are needed). Like all puppies, Princess needs to chew, so please direct her away from shoes to toys that are safe. Princess debuts for adoption today.
