Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Galant pleads for someone to love.  He cannot understand why he loses the people he gives his whole heart too. Galant fears every goodbye is forever, so he is distraught to see you leaving the house.  There is no instant fix for separation anxiety, but there are many small steps (including crate-training) that can be taken to diminish his anguish with time and patience, as he comes to realize you will never fail him.  Galant is a handsome German shepherd mix with golden eyes, 3 years young and neutered, and debuting for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .  He was at another shelter that asked for our help.  It appears Galant needs a one-dog household please.

Raja , 15, a gentle soul, purrs sweet you talk softly and sweetly to her.  She is a British Shorthair, spayed, good with other easy-going cats, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  We rescued Raja from another shelter and she was reportedly confiscated from her previous home (for an unknown reason).  Please help find this sweetheart a hero.

Athena , a blind youngster, was found stuck in a tree with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip ID, not spayed).  She purrs when you talk sweetly to her.  Athena is 1 year of age, now spayed, and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA.  An easy-going and gentle forever home is ideal for her.

Reese is blooming and making good progress.  He still fears human hands, but if you kneel down he now jumps into your lap and looks up into your eyes with hope.  Reese is a petite Chihuahua, 4 years of age and neutered, housetrained, good with other dogs, and awaiting a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Please give Reese consideration if you have an adult-only home.

Barbara is a tiny young girl, terrified of people, and desperate to know where she belongs.  She is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Barbara spent a few weeks in a foster home and made some progress with socialization. But while she prefers to be near people, she still panics when people attempt to touch her.  Barbara will bloom as she realizes she is safe and enjoying a steady lifestyle routine.  Please share her post to help her find someone very experienced and kind.

Donnie , 14, a wise and amiable boy, fits in very well with kind people and dogs.  He is a "deerhead" Chihuahua with a fox-like appearance, neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Donnie landed in an animal shelter in another state. His microchip ID traced back to Nevada SPCA from an adoption many years ago. Though efforts to reach his adopters were not successful, Donnie was transported back to Las Vegas and returned to Nevada SPCA for his safety and opportunity to find a hero for his twilight years.

Adopting Hannah was the best thing we ever did. She is the sweetest dog in the world. She still have plenty of spunk, and as you can see from this picture, she loves her toys. She regularly sees a doggie eye specialist who has her vision issues under control. We couldn’t love Hannah any more than we do."

Tourmaline , a baby gem, warms more to people with each new day.  She is letting us cuddle her and she is becoming light-hearted and playing with her toys.  Tourmaline is a petite kitten, 3 months of age and spayed, and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .  She was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her fear and hissing.  Tourmaline was desperate for security and began making progress when we placed stuffed animals for her to snuggle with in her habitat.  In an experienced home her progress can continue so she can reach her full loving potential.

Debbie , 14, a most gentle angel, needed us when her previous owner moved into assisted living.    We are keep her spirits lifted with lots of holding and cuddling, as well as pairing her up with friendly dogs for companionship. Debbie is a petite Chihuahua with cute, front-folding ears and expressive eyes.    She is spayed, housetrained, humble and loving, and waiting for a hero to adopt her at Nevada SPCA .

Crystal , betrayed with cruelty, worries about who she can trust.    She is terrified of people with loud voices, but crawls toward gentle and soft-spoken people and pleads for reassurance. Please help find Crystal a hero.    She is a medium-size blend of Yellow Labrador & Shar Pei, 2 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with dogs (her size and larger), and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Posie was running in abandoned lots for weeks, possibly months, trying to survive on her own, before a volunteer finally captured her. She is letting us touch her and pick her up, but she is still worried about people.    When we go to Posie's kennel, she tries to hide behind another dog, her kennel-mate, hoping we don't notice her. Posie is now spayed and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org). A home with a sister or brother dog for guidance is ideal. She would love to be another dog's little sister. Posie is a medium-size Heinz 57, a beautiful blend of Retriever & Shepherd & more breeds and approximately 5 years of age.

Maxmillian , 9, is a jolly boy asking for a hero and a leisurely lifestyle.  Due to birth defects with his front paws, he can only walk short distances.  Maxmillian needed us when his previous owner passed away.  He is a Basset Hound & Beagle mix, housetrained & crate-trained, good with cats & dogs & kids, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Maxmillian's toys must be large and indestructible (because he reportedly tries to eat and swallow them).  Please help find someone wonderful for him!

Bobby Angel , 14, is very docile boy and just asks for kindness. There's a ton of love from this tiny boy.    He likes the serenity of his crate, with the door open so he can emerge as he pleases. He is a Chihuahua, neutered, good with other dogs, ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA.    Bobby Angel is on daily medication for hypothyroidism.    We rescued him from another shelter.    Please help find Bobby Angel someone wonderful for his final years.

Mitzie , 8, cannot see you, but she senses your spirit and presence. Touch and speak to her gently and she overflows with adoration and gratitude. Mitzie is a medium-size Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, blind, spayed, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter and her background is otherwise unknown.    Mitzie loves people with all of her heart and doesn't want another dog to interfere with her bonding, so a one-dog household is needed.    Please share Mitzie's pictures to help find her a hero.

Snoopy , 9, longs for a gentle person he can love.  He is an Australian Terrier, neutered boy, housetrained, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Snoopy is partially blind, so please take very thorough safety precautions throughout your home and yard, particularly around stairs, pools, and other potential hazards.  Snoopy needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship.

Nancy reminds us that every single day with quality of life is precious.  She is a happy girl, a pretty Miniature Pinscher, 8 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  When Nancy's previous owner surrendered her she was in distress from heart failure, wheezing and struggling to breathe.  Nancy is now on daily medications and breathing well.  There was damage to her heart, so she requires a very leisurely lifestyle (free of strain, heavy exertion, or extreme heat).  Please help find Nancy a hero who will treasure the moments that she has left on Earth, whether it be months or years is unknown.
