Whisper glows with joy and relief when she feels accepted and safe.    A cruelty survivor, new people and situations can cause her distress, so being very patient and reassuring means the world to her. Whisper is an Australian Shepherd mix embarking on a fresh start at 9 years of age. She is good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .    We rescued her from another shelter where she was trembling.

Quinn , young at heart at 9 years of age, is blessed with a radiant smile and spirit.  He is a handsome Queensland Heeler & Siberian Husky mix, neutered, housetrained, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Quinn is good with large dogs, but cannot be around small dogs or other small animals.  We rescued him from another shelter that ran out of space for him.  Please visit and ask for Quinn by name.

Percival , 9, is a very docile Italian Greyhound who just wants to be accepted.  He is good with cats and dogs, and now neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Percival needed us when his previous owner moved away without him.

  This is the face of someone realizing that fortunes have, at long last, finally changed. This morning Sydney wore a worried look (see below) as we cut off numerous matted ropes of hair, some longer even than his tail. Nine years of age and he had never been brushed, never let indoors, and most likely, never loved. But as the minutes went by, he became less shocked and surprised that we were paying attention to him. He started kissing the person talking sweetly to him. And he stepped closer to the man trimming his coat, understanding he was getting help. Then suddenly his eyes and smile were filled with hope and we took his picture. Sydney is an Australian Shepherd who must finally know what a loving home feels like. He is neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued him from another shelter. Galadriel , 9, in the midst of a life-changing transformation, continues to make admirable improvement with trust. The victim of very severe neglect and abuse, she is now unrecognizable from the matted and filthy condition she was in at the time of rescue from the streets. She is now groomed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, teeth cleaned, microchipped, eating premium food, and bonding with other rescued dogs. Galadriel is a Poodle & Shih-Tzu mix debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org). She is photographed in a blanket because she is not used to being picked up and she felt more secure wrapped in a covering. Galadriel's physical improvements are going well, but her emotional healing will take much longer. Please help find someone wonderful for her.
