Odie , young at heart at 11 years of age, beams with hope that he will soon have someone to love. Odie is a Jack Russell Terrier, housetrained & crate-trained, good with other dogs and older kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He was surrendered due to his previous owners' hardship.

Danielle , 11, is accepting care-taking and will join volunteers and staff for walks.  Until her capture last week, she had reportedly been living in a desert wash for at least a full year, surviving on scraps of food she could find and that people left out for her.  Danielle's microchip ID traced to a previous owner, but this person refused her.  Danielle is a Kelpie mix, spayed, good with other dogs, and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Kansas , 11, worries that nobody will want his love. We reassure him that he's a wonderful treasure and he relaxes and joins us for walks and petting. Kansas is kind with people and dogs. He is a Labrador Retriever mix, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He needs to continue building self-esteem and confidence. Kansas is 1 of 33 animals Nevada SPCA has rescued so far from a collapsed animal organization in northern Arizona. His background is otherwise unknown.

Candy pleads for a fresh start at 11 years of age. She is a gentle girl lacking confidence, but wanting to build bonds with soft-spoken people who praise her.    Candy is an Australian Shepherd mix, spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Candy is 1 of 33 animals we have rescued so far from an animal organization that collapsed in northern Arizona and nothing further is known of her background.    She likes being with other dogs, but for meals and treats needs to be alone so she doesn't have to worry about another dog stealing her food. Cheech , 11, likes sitting in the sun and sleeping under blankets. Reportedly fed cheeseburgers, instead of dog food, in a previous home, Cheech is so obese he can barely walk.    We suggest taking him for walks in a stroller and giving him occasional opportunities to walk 20 or 30 feet. In time, with eating nutritious and proper food, he will be able to walk further. Pip , 11, young at heart, wants to love someone during his twilight years who will never fail him.    He is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, good with other dogs, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . We rescued Pip from another shelter. He had been quarantined for a nip/snap/bite of his previous owner who was reportedly punishing him, inexplicably, with tissue papers, in some unusual way.    Pip deserves better and we are grateful for the opportunity to find him a stable and loving home.

Stewie , 11, is a boy young at heart who likes to greet people at the door and welcome them warmly.  He is a handsome treasure and he is fascinated by catnip, rolling on it every chance he gets.  Stewie is great with cats too.  He is a tabby & white shorthair, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Remington , 11, a tiny and gentle soul, loves when people fuss and dote on him and ask him how he feels. Hold him in your arms and he feels like a king. Remington is a Chihuahua and he is neutered, great with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Remington was found abandoned on the streets in poor condition without sign of responsible ownership. He can only walk short distances due to birth defects with his back legs. We had dental care provided for him (half of his teeth were decayed and had to be extracted).   Please help find a hero for Remington .

Barnaby's extreme distress and despair has been replaced with enormous hope.    He loves people, he is adjusting very well to life on three legs, and he is eager to belong to a new family. Barnaby is an 11-year-old Boxer, neutered, good with other dogs, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue, we captured Barnaby in a desert wash. He was limping in excruciating pain from a crushed leg (presumably run over by a truck).

Jethro , 11, a very gentle soul, politely asks for your consideration. He needs someone to love. Jethro is a Miniature Schnauzer & Toy mix, good with other dogs, housetrained, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    His previous owner cited her elderly age and financial hardship as the reasons for his surrender. Please help find a hero for Jethro.

You would think Justin is a puppy, based on his enthusiasm and fun-loving demeanor and radiant good cheer.    Justin is actually 11 years of age and turning 12 in November. He is housetrained and compatible with kids and dogs.    Justin is a sporty, handsome blend of Whippet & Labrador Retriever (and other breeds) with silver facial accents. He is neutered and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Melissa , 11, beams when you tell her she's a good girl. We love her chipper spirit. Melissa is a well-behaved girl with tons of unconditional love to share.  She likes kids and adults, as well as other dogs. She is a Chihuahua, housetrained, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Melissa needed us when her previous owners divorced.

Baloo , radiant at 11 years of age, loves kids and adults and wants to devote himself to someone wonderful.    He is an attractive blend of breeds, including Smooth Collie and Aussie Cattle Dog, a neutered boy, good with most dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Baloo was surrendered to another shelter because he began having accidents in the house. We are also troubled by what he may have endured there due to the deep, severe wounds he had on both front paws.    Adoption is forever. Baloo deserves someone who will cherish him for life.

Jordan , 11, is a mellow and gentle boy who needs a new home and a fresh start.   He is a handsome, leonine brown tabby, neutered boy, great with other cats, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Jordan was previously declawed (front paws).   He needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.  Please help find Jordan a peaceful home environment.
