Martina leans her head on the people she trusts.  She is desperate for kindness and fearful that she will be hurt again. Lady Elizabeth prances politely at your side on walks and looks to you for reassurance and praise.  She is a gentle Malamute & Husky mix, 3 years young, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Lady Elizabeth was at another shelter that asked for our help. Her left eye was infected and injured beyond repair (from an unknown trauma).  She recovered well from her enucleation surgery.   Lady Elizabeth is ready to love and become a valued member of a responsible, forever home.

Brock's face reveals deep emotional pain.    He has known cruelty and ultimate rejection. He was found tied to a tree and abandoned. He flinches from fast hand movements. Nadia is blooming! She's a baby girl overflowing with enthusiasm and sharing her smiles with everyone who praises her. We rescued her from another shelter where she was trembling. After about an hour of reassuring attention from her caretakers, she rolled over on her back and asked for a belly rub, then started giving hugs. Austin howls and cries when he is lonely. He is a social boy and beams when you praise him or sit close to him.    Austin is a Chocolate Doberman Pinscher, 8 years of age and neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Austin was found in horrific condition on the streets by a kind woman. Besides extreme obesity, the food he was eating was not nutritious, resulting in hair loss, dry skin, and itching. All attempts to trace his microchip ID to a previous owner were unsuccessful. At the shelter, Austin is now eating premium food and he is on thyroid medication and improving a bit more each day.    Please share his picture to help him find a hero so he will never be neglected so terribly again.

Ryan , a junior puppy starving for attention and adoration, needs someone to dote on him and nurture his spirit.    His dreadful past reportedly included days spent alone locked in a bathroom without any interaction with people or dogs. Ryan needs you to sit by him while he eats. He will cry if he senses you are displeased with him. Laker , bright-eyed at 7 years of age, eagerly awaits for words of reassurance from his caretakers that everything is going to be okay. In these pictures we are telling him that a loving forever home could come as soon as today! Colleen , a young angel, reveals devastating pain in her eyes. She does not yet realize that she is forever safe from violence. Colleen is a tender-hearted Terri-Poo, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . *** Sensitive Reader Warning *** At the time of rescue Colleen was witnessed being punched repeatedly in the face by a dog breeder. The witnesses were so traumatized by the evil rage they did not think to get his license plate number (to submit to government authorities for prosecution). But the witnesses were successful in rescuing Colleen and five other dogs he was exploiting for the breeding of puppies to sell. Fast movements and loud voices understandably terrify Colleen . Please be extraordinarily patient, comforting, and understanding as she adjusts to you, your loving home, and your lifestyle routine.

Glory kisses the cheeks of women who are very kind and gentle with her.    She is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, 4 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . We rescued Glory from another shelter where she was trembling. She is terrified of men and sometimes hides her face in their presence hoping they don't notice her. We do not know what Glory has endured.    She wants to believe in people and responds beautifully to soft, reassuring voices.

Analee , humble and bashful, deeply appreciates all kindness.    She is recovering exceptionally well from emaciation and starvation, thanks to the tender care of a foster family. Analee is a young Boxer mix, housetrained, good with cats & dogs & kids, 1 year of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    She was at another shelter that asked for our help due to running out of space. Please be sure to keep Analee on a very steady meals and treats schedule. This will help her understand that she will never experience desperate hunger again.

Benji is now shining and on his way to reaching his full loving potential!  He is a boy with exceptional good looks, Heinz 57 with Terrier, 6 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Benji was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity and intolerance of strangers.  He has accepted the kindness of staff and volunteers very well. Benji can continue blooming in an experienced home with a steady lifestyle routine.

Mateo , an earnest youngster recovering from severe neglect, is eager to know what a loving home feels like.    He is a friendly Poodle mix, 1 year of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Mateo was so matted at the time of rescue that he was unrecognizable. A man found him wandering the streets with nowhere to go and no sign of responsible ownership.    Please be patient with Mateo as he adjusts to you, your home, and your lifestyle.

Brett is a jolly sweetheart who dances on his hind legs when he's excited (making swimming motions in the air with his front arms).  Brett is reportedly a blend of Shih-Tzu & Yorkshire Terrier, 4 years of age and neutered, good with dogs and mature kids, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  He needed us when his previous owners moved away without him. Trixie , now groomed and eating premium food, is unrecognizable from the tangled, matted condition she was suffering from at the time of her rescue on the streets.  She is a delightful Miniature Schnauzer, about 6 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Lucy , now healed so beautifully from being run over by a car, triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  This endearing youngster deeply appreciates every act of kindness.  Lucy is a blond Terrier & Toy mix, 2 years of age, good with other dogs and now spayed.  At the time of rescue she was found prone in a street with a severe head wound. Thank you to the donors who made her care and healing possible.

Thunderbird loves when you notice his charm! The more you react with smiles and good cheer, the more he keeps showing off and revealing his personality. He is a Rottweiler, 1 year of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Thunderbird was at another shelter that asked for our help. A previous owner apparently taunted him with toys (cruel deprivation) and violently disciplined him. Thunderbird worries that his toys and food will get stolen from him and that every correction is a potential traumatic experience. We believe in the goodness of this young boy. A very experienced, adult-only home can help him perceive humans in a different way with a steady lifestyle routine and kind home environment.

Camaro longs for the best of human nature from now on to help nurture his spirit and help him reach his full loving potential. He is a young, attractive Retriever mix, 3 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . We do not know the traumas Camaro endured. He was at another shelter that asked for our help because he is afraid of people touching his belly and he fears that other dogs want to hurt him.    We want to find Camaro a very gentle and patient hero for life.

Raphael , a young boy terrified of human hands, wants to believe in people despite the cruelty he endured.    Hold him close and praise him and he will lick his lips or your shirt to humbly accept your kindness.
