Tommy

Image
Tommy , a dear young boy surging with hope, wants to know what a loving, responsible home feels like.  He is a cute, small blend of breeds, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Tommy was reportedly in peril numerous times during the past 6 months due to continually escaping his previous home through a broken gate or wall. He was finally relinquished so he can be safe and find a home where he will be treasured forever.

Buttercup -- Before & After.

Image
After Before Before Buttercup's rescue & recovery: This docile boy, 13 years of age and 24 pounds in weight, was suffering from some of the most severe matting on a feline that we have seen in years. His previous owners not only let him roam the neighborhood, but then left him behind when they moved away. Buttercup knew his caretakers wanted to help him and he held still and let them shave away years of accumulated knots and giants matted folds. Under all of this, his skin was in poor, flaky condition. With premium food and special skin oils, Buttercup's skin is improving significantly every day. Buttercup loves being held in gentle arms or cuddling up in cozy cat beds. He is great with other sweet cats.    Please share his post to help him finally know and experience what a loving and responsible home feels like, at long, long last.

Avalon

Avalon , young boy dreaming of a life where he understands what it feels like to be treasured and cherished.  He is remarkably sweet and hopeful, a cream & white Chihuahua, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Avalon's previous owners said they had "no time" for him.  He is ready to bloom and reach his full loving potential.

Clyde

Image
Clyde , 14, beams with hope and revels in all of the care and attention he's getting.  An American Eskimo Dog mix, suspected of being severely neglected for many years, he was confused why we were doting on him and brushing him.  Clyde has now had dental care and grooming and he's ready to finally know what a loving home feels like. He is good with other dogs, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Bunny

Bunny hears that she is about to finally find out what a loving home feels like and she beams with excitement! She is a bright spirit, a Yellow Labrador Retriever, 4 years of age, spayed girl, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Bunny was at another shelter that asked for our help because her previous owners had neglected her and repeatedly bred her for puppies.    She is thriving with premium food, lots of treats, and words of praise and hope.

Elizabeth needs a hero.

Image
Elizabeth is getting a fresh start at 12 years of age. At long last, she will soon finally know what a loving home feels like. She was found abandoned on the streets, neglected, and flinching when touched. She is an Italian Greyhound & Chihuahua mix with mousy looks, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please help us find Elizabeth a hero. She has multiple challenges. Elizabeth is even more afraid of other dogs than people. She doesn't feel comfortable being picked up. She has few teeth left (we had dental care provided for her, including 18 teeth extractions). We look forward to the day when Elizabeth realizes she is no longer in danger and understands that she is worthy of love.

Maybe I had given up hope that I would ever really be loved.

It's not too late for 9-year-old Connor to finally realize what a stable, loving home feels like.  Emotionally, he is recovering from abuse.  Physically, he is challenged with arthritis and diminished vision and hearing.  The only thing known about his background is that an officer confiscated Connor from his previous home and took him to a government-funded shelter, which in turn asked for our help.  Connor likes other friendly dogs and he still believes in the goodness of people, though he warms slowly to strangers.  He is an Australian Shepherd mix, 9 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. There can be rich emotional rewards with adopting seniors and other animals with special challenges.  Will you please help us find Connor a hero?
