Chantilly

Image
Chantilly was in labor and unable to birth her babies at the time of rescue. We rushed her to an emergency animal hospital for a c-section and veterinarians succeeded in saving the lives of Chantilly and her babies. She raised her kittens in a loving, nurturing foster home. Her foster family reports that she is exceptionally affectionate with people and cats, even giving other cats gentle head-butts to welcome them into her presence. Chantilly is a beautiful spirit, a shorthair tabby with jewel eyes, 2 years young, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Hugh

Image
Hugh , healed from being run over by a car, pleads for an indoor-only home where he will never be in peril again. Hugh , after weeks of care and healing, feels like kitten again. He frolics in the kitten play tubes, pounces on his toys, and plays with the other cats without a care in the world. Hugh is a young Maine Coon mix, 2 years of age and neutered, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . At the time of rescue, a person witnessed Hugh get run over. We rushed him into emergency veterinary care. X-rays revealed no broken bones, miraculously, but severe body trauma and wounds to his nose and chin.

Majestic

Image
Majestic , rescued and healed, glows with joy and hope for his future!    He is a Bully puppy, good with other dogs, 6 months of age, now neutered and triumphantly debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA . A volunteer found Majestic in October. He had been abandoned in a crate and he was suffering from parvo virus. We rushed Majestic to an animal emergency hospital for extensive care and his life was saved. Like the other puppy posted today (Joshua), Majestic overflows with gratitude for the kindness of everyone he meets. Please only consider him if you like puppy kisses!

Tenderheart

Image
You may recall Tenderheart's rescue in May. She was found starving to death in an abandoned crate (likely trapped there for days) and emergency hospitalization, including intravenous fluids, saved her life. Tenderheart has been building body mass and energy ever since. Once so weak she couldn't walk, she now leaps and bounces in joy.     Tenderheart glows with radiance and likes sneaking doggie kisses on her caretakers. She is a small German Shepherd (starvation likely stunted her growth), 11 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    Tenderheart can be around other dogs, but must be completely separated from other dogs in the presence of meals and treats. (Because of fearing desperate hunger, food is very serious to her and she won't tolerate the thought of having her food stolen.) Please share her pictures to find Tenderheart someone wonderful, stable, responsible, and absolutely commit...

Willow , a baby boy now well and beaming with hope, wants someone to love who he can always count on.  He is an adorable and delightful Terrier mix puppy, 6 months of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and triumphantly debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Willow was in peril from a life-threatening disease (parvo virus).  Thank you to the donors who made Willow's advanced veterinary care and recovery possible!

Blue Jay and Millie

Blue Jay Millie Blue Jay and Millie are precious babies who both triumphed over life-threatening illness. Today, they debut for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Blue Jay and Millie are both 4 months of age and now spayed/neutered. They were rescued on different days from different homes, but each perilously ill with parvo virus at the time of their rescues.     Blue Jay is a Bully mix puppy, a boy, and Millie is a girl, a Bully & Labrador Retriever mix. Both are friendly with people and dogs. Thank you very much to the donors who made their emergency, lifesaving advanced veterinary care possible!

Valentine is a playful German Shepherd, 8 months of age, and now spayed.    Thank you very much to the donors to our advanced care fund who helped make her emergency veterinary care possible.    We believe Valentine is compatible with kids and some dogs, though she may be too rambunctious and excitable for small children.

Amber

Image
Amber is now healed and very eager to love. She is exceptionally friendly and we believe she has the temperament to be terrific with children. Amber , 3, was rescued in January near a busy road with a very deep tissue cut to her left shoulder (cause unknown) and she was bleeding profusely. We rushed her to an animal hospital for emergency care. In the months since she has healed well. Even her scar (visible in picture 3) is now minimal in comparison. Amber is a large Bully mix, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

At the time of rescue Cleopatra was in peril from parvo virus.    Thank you very much to the donors who made her extensive emergency medical treatment possible.

Oh Honey

Image
Honey , at 3 pounds, is the size of a guinea pig, but she has a big personality and she melts the hearts of everyone she meets.  This pixie-like baby girl triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue Honey was just 3 days old and in peril from fluid in her lungs.  We had critical care provided for her (thanks to Nevada SPCA's advanced veterinary care fund) and her heroic foster mom bottle-fed her every few hours to keep her alive.  Honey has been raised with cats and dogs of all ages and she is pee-pad trained.  She adores her elephant toy (which we will send home with her).  Honey is a Chihuahua mix, now 7 months of age and spayed.  Please ask for her by name when you visit.

Is the world ready for me?

Spartan

Image
Spartan is a chipper, enthusiastic youngster adjusting beautifully to life on three legs and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is a handsome Miniature Pinscher & Dachshund mix, 3 years of age and neutered, good with dogs, and reportedly housetrained and compatible with cats & children too. At the time of rescue last month, Spartan's hind right leg was crushed beyond repair.  His previous owner said that someone had fallen on him, but all we know for certain is that he sustained massive trauma to his leg. Spartan is very ready for his new life and hopes you will come meet and adopt him today! Note: If you would like to help with Spartan's advanced veterinary care expenses, it is simple and easy to donate online at www.nevadaspca.org or simply text SPCA to 68494 with a donation of your choice.
