Renoir

Image
Renoir , recovering from extreme emaciation and starvation, is building energy, now holding his head up, and slowly recovering body mass.    He still has a long way to go, but he has progressed enough that he can be adopted to a hero and continue his improvement in a loving home. He is happiest and most at peace sitting calmly in laps.    Renoir is 11 years of age, a petite Chihuahua, neutered, housetrained & crate-trained, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    He was surrendered by his previous owners due to financial hardship.

Tilda

Image
Tilda , now serene and content, has made a wonderful recovery from starvation.  At the time of rescue she was severely emaciated on the streets.  Tilda is drawn to nurturing people and calm cats.  She is a lovely medium-hair tabby, 3 years young, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.   Please help find her a stable, loving home where she will never know desperate hunger or fear of survival again.

Julie

Image
Julie , a starvation survivor, does not take kindness for granted. She gently nuzzles your neck and shoulder when you hold and reassure her that she is safe. Julie is steadily regaining energy and the sparkle of life is coming back in her eyes. She is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA and her progress can continue in a loving, forever home. Julie is an Italian Greyhound & Chihuahua mix, 2 years young, spayed girl, good with other dogs. We rescued her from another shelter.

Caesar

Image
Caesar , an intelligent and endearing boy, is recovering well from starvation and debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is a Belgian Malinois mix, 5 years of age and neutered.  Caesar was at another shelter, emaciated and fearful, and urgently needed our help.  Now eating premium and probiotic meals, he improves daily with not just weight and energy, but also with confidence.  We look forward to the day when Caesar is more light-hearted and no longer fears desperate hunger or peril. A very stable feeding routine will help ease his mind and achieve this.  Please help find a wonderful forever home full of love for Caesar .

Cersei

Image
Cersei is a sunny, well-behaved young girl debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a beautiful Border Collie & Shepherd mix, 2 years of age and spayed, housetrained and crate-trained.  Cersei loves kids and she gets along well with some dogs.  At the time of her rescue in the spring, she was emaciated and we placed her in a loving foster home for recovery.  Tests show she has a pancreatic enzyme deficiency.  Cersei takes medication twice-daily with her meals (and the medication is inexpensive).  An active lifestyle is ideal for this robust and radiant youngster.
