There's so much beauty and gratitude in Tristan's face, and his heart overflows with grace. At the time of rescue Tristan was at another shelter in peril from starvation, weighing only 42 pounds. Today, Tristan weighs 73 pounds, and he is full of energy and sparkle in his eyes. Tristan is a young German Shepherd mix, 3 years of age and neutered, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He is compatible with some dogs, but picky about which ones he likes. Iggy beams when he feels safe.    Sit on the floor and he'll crawl into your lap and rest his head in the palm of your hand. But fingers scare Iggy . He flinches from fast movements and fears that leashes are a form of punishment. We do not know what cruelties he endured in his previous home. Iggy is a young Chihuahua & Toy mix with tremendous loving potential. Shelly , vibrant and unique, melts hearts with her glowing personality.  She is a medium-size blend of many breeds and sports a fanciful tail and she is 4 years of age, spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, good with cats & dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Shelly was surrendered by her previous owner who cited her long work hours.  Please visit and ask for Shelly by name.

Peaches & Cream , teeny-tiny mother and her son, were found abandoned in the backyard of a foreclosed home.  Both are sweet, humble, and grateful for all kindness.  They are Chihuahuas, 8 and 6 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed/neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Peaches & Cream rely on each other for emotional support and well-being. They are bonded for life, together forever.

Jaguar , a slender and long-legged Greyhound mix, shines when he knows you approve of him.  He is 4 years of age, housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs and mature kids, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Jaguar is shy with new people and thrives with routine and stability.  He needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

Trish is another rescued soul who has overcome melancholy.    She beams when people praise her, tell her it's time for a walk, or bring her meals, treats, and toys. Trish , 9, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever & Shar-Pei mix, thrives with order, routine, and stability. She is spayed and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA .    Trish cannot be around birds or small animals.    We rescued her from another shelter and her past is otherwise unknown.

Depression fades and hope surges.    Within a few minutes of being around people she knows accepts her, Tonya begins to shine and relax. Tonya i s desperate for kindness and needs someone to love.    She is a medium-size, unique blend of breeds (including Queensland Heeler & Shepherd), 4 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    We rescued Tonya from another shelter that ran out of space for her.

Mona Lisa shines when she feels safe around gentle people. Strangers worry her, especially children.  She was witnessed being intentionally kicked hard by a child.  Mona Lisa is an endearing Shar Pei mix, 1 year young and spayed, housetrained & crate-trained. good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Please help find her a peaceful, adult-only home where she can continue blooming.

Priscilla desperately pleads for kindness. Saved from a loveless home, she does not yet know what being treasured and adored feels like. Priscilla is a petite Toy mix, 3 years young, good with other dogs, housetrained & crate-trained, and now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . She is reportedly afraid of children, but we do not know what she endured. Please help find her a very gentle home for life where she can bloom.

Blueberry is recovering from emotional trauma and accepting the kindness of his caretakers. He wants to believe in people again. A woman witnessed Blueberry being thrown out of a car. Fortunately, he survived without severe physical injuries, but nonetheless intensely felt the pain of rejection and cruelty.    Blueberry is a small Terrier mix, 1 year young, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Please share his pictures and help him find a home where he will always know he is dearly treasured and always safe.

Despite a young life full of horror, Babycakes believes in the goodness of people and shines brilliantly when you greet her with a smile. Babycakes has heart-melting charm and she is eager to begin her new life. She is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a Basset Hound-like body, 1 year of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Babycakes trots joyfully at your side on walks. She loves to hug and gaze into your eyes adoringly. At the time of rescue she was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her extensive head and body wounds (from dog attacks) and crude ear maiming.     Babycakes has been healing well and her scars will always be a reminder of what she once endured when someone betrayed her innocence and unconditional devotion.

Fabian calms around gentle people. A peaceful home environment with a steady lifestyle routine is ideal for this sensitive young boy. Fabian is a Tibetan Spaniel & Toy mix, 3 years of age and neutered, housetrained & crate-trained, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . The circumstances of his escalating anxiety in his previous home are unclear. He was reportedly treated for severe canine depression at one point. Our experience is that Fabian is initially very timid, but relaxes when he warms to people and understands their intentions. Please share Fabian's post to help him find a lifelong hero.

A married couple horseback riding together in a southern Utah forest discovered a starving dog so frail and emaciated she could barely stand up. The couple, Brent & Kimberly, lifted her up on to one of their horses, rode her back to the safety of their home, and then heroically nursed her back to life. Bebe is now enjoying lifted spirits, good body mass, and ever-improving energy levels.    She is a medium-size Heinz 57 with Manchester Terrier and many other breeds, 3 years of age and spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs and kids (but not cats), and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Glory kisses the cheeks of women who are very kind and gentle with her.    She is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, 4 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . We rescued Glory from another shelter where she was trembling. She is terrified of men and sometimes hides her face in their presence hoping they don't notice her. We do not know what Glory has endured.    She wants to believe in people and responds beautifully to soft, reassuring voices.

Finley & Connor , son and father, were reportedly abandoned at a gas station and trying to eke out an existence there. Connor would beg strangers for morsels of food, then take it to his bashful son, Finley , instead of eating it himself. A volunteer captured the hungry pair and brought them to the safety of Nevada SPCA . Now neutered, Finley & Connor are debuting for adoption today. They are Chihuahua & Beagle mixes, 2 and 4 years of age, and good with other dogs. A very experienced home is needed for their continued emotional healing and socialization.    They are bonded for life, together forever. Please share their pictures to help find them a hero.

Mogwai , an adorable little "gremlin", is a 5-pound loverboy who needs a forever home.  He is a chocolate, cream, and white Chihuahua, 2 years young, neutered, housetrained, good with dogs and mature kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Mogwai enjoys sleeping at your side, going to dog parks, and napping in laps.

Tia, February 25 Tia, February 25 Tia, emaciated on January 9 From 57 pounds to 80 pounds in 6 weeks, thanks to premium probiotic food and loving care, Tia triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA ! Tia is a young Mastiff mix making a remarkable recovery from starvation and cruelty. (She was at another shelter that asked for our help with her advanced care needs.) Tia is 2 years of age and spayed. Her ears were crudely maimed and cut off unevenly. She is healing emotionally too. At the time of rescue she hid from people in the back of her kennel. Now, she greets her caretakers with wagging tail and barks at them if they forget to tell her how sweet she is when they walk by.

Katie seems shocked to hear praise. She looks around to see if you are really praising someone else. When she realizes the kind words are intended for her, she slowly steps forward and edges her way toward your lap for a cuddle. Katie is shy and lovable, a medium-size Heinz 57 with Shepherd, 9 years of age, good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    She is 1 of 33 animals rescued so far from a collapsed animal organization in northern Arizona and her background is otherwise unknown. Somerset is happiest snuggled in your lap and trying to sneak doggie kisses on your chin.  She is a very humble girl without much self-esteem, so she is yet to realize she is a wonderful treasure.  Somerset does not yet know how to walk on leashes, so we carry her from place to place.  She is a beautiful and unique blend of many breeds (Hound, Retriever, Bully), 4 years of age and spayed, good with mature kids and some dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Somerset needed us due to her previous owners' financial hardship.

Benji is now shining and on his way to reaching his full loving potential!  He is a boy with exceptional good looks, Heinz 57 with Terrier, 6 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Benji was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity and intolerance of strangers.  He has accepted the kindness of staff and volunteers very well. Benji can continue blooming in an experienced home with a steady lifestyle routine.
