Mogwai

Image
Mogwai , an adorable little "gremlin", is a 5-pound loverboy who needs a forever home.  He is a chocolate, cream, and white Chihuahua, 2 years young, neutered, housetrained, good with dogs and mature kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Mogwai enjoys sleeping at your side, going to dog parks, and napping in laps.

There is a world of love packed inside my little body.

Update: Desert Breeze was adopted on March 13th! When this precious boy got very ill with the deadly parvo virus, his previous owners should have rushed him into emergency care at an animal hospital. Instead, they abandoned him in a dog park, putting more unsuspecting dogs at risk too. We rescued him (and named him Desert Breeze ), and had extensive medical care provided for him at the Dewey Veterinary Medical Center. Fortunately, he pulled through and made a full recovery. [To help save the lives of dogs like Desert Breeze who need emergency medical care, please donate online at Nevada SPCA's primary web site .] Today, Desert Breeze debuts for adoption! He is an affectionate, super cute, and frisky youngster, most likely a Chihuahua mix, now neutered and just a year of age. Desert Breeze enjoys other dogs and he seems drawn most to people with soft voices. Please visit and ask for him by name.

They abandoned me in a dog park and I had nowhere to go.

Update: Ruby Tuesday was adopted on November 25th! Ruby Tuesday is a darling little gem. She is shy with new people, but she warms up quickly as trust develops. Ruby Tuesday is most likely a Pug & Chihuahua mix. She is spayed, about 7 years of age, and adorned with the cutest front-folding ears. She was left behind in a dog park, her tag and collar removed (and no microchip ID). A kind person brought her into safety and reported that she was fine with his older, mature kids. Ruby Tuesday also enjoys the company of other dogs. She may do best in a home with another dog for lifelong companionship. Ruby Tuesday debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

They took me to play at the dog park, but would not let me return home.

Update: Vivian was adopted on August 19th! Vivian is a precious little girl - a Toy & Terrier mix puppy of just 7 months, with the cutest front-folding peach ears. She needed us for rescue when her owners abandoned her at a dog park. Sadly, we hear an increasing number of accounts of this occurring (abandonment at dog parks), and it exhibits such reckless disregard for the dogs. Vivian is a bit tentative, particularly with new people and in new situations. But she has a good spring in her step and she has great warmth and love for those who she knows and trusts. Vivian is now spayed and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
