Harmony , 12, has been the shining light of her previous owner, a 93-year old woman who had to move into assisted living and was brokenhearted to lose her.  Harmony is a Toy & Chihuahua mix, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She loves other small dogs and snuggling at your side while you sleep.  Harmony is deaf, so please take thorough safety precautions for her throughout your home and yard.  Please help find a hero for Harmony .

Willy is an exceptionally gentle boy, an Australian Shepherd mix, 15 years of age, and blind, and he needs a hero. Willy was found alone on the streets by an animal control officer.  He was taken to another shelter that tracked his microchip ID to his owner.  But despite her repeated assurances she would reclaim him, four failed days passed, and Willy was becoming dangerously lethargic.  The shelter agreed to let Nevada SPCA rescue him and find him a hero.  He is now eating heartily and his spirits are brightening.  We believe his blindness is recent -- he is reluctant to walk out of fear he will get hurt.  At 15, we don't know how many days, weeks, months, or years Willy has left, but he deserves to have peace and comfort for every moment. For her entire 14 years China devotedly sat by her owner's side and comforted him with her peaceful presence until the day he died.  Now, China is the one who needs a hero.  She is a medium-size Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix, a spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  China is housetrained and good with other sweet dogs.  Please help us find this noble old girl a home where she spends her twilight years with dignity and love.

Please help us find Casey a hero.  She was near death at the time of rescue. Her previous owners said she had stopped eating for 4 weeks and they could not afford to take her to a veterinarian.  We had her hospitalized and discovered Casey had diabetes. Now getting twice-daily shots of insulin, she is eating heartily and regaining her strength and will to live.  Casey is exceptionally gentle and she loves tender belly rubs. She is a petite medium-hair tabby, about 13 years of age, and ready for adoption (or long-term foster care) at Nevada SPCA.  Casey loves people and other cats. She asks for so little -- just kindness and dignity.
