Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Channing , desperate for kindness and understanding, must only see the best of human nature from now on. He needs to know what it feels like to be loved. Channing is a Silky Terrier & Tibetan Terrier mix, 5 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his severe neglect and abuse.    We shaved Channing's coat to help give him a fresh start. He no longer hangs his head to the ground and some shine for hope is coming into his eyes.

Depression fades and hope surges.    Within a few minutes of being around people she knows accepts her, Tonya begins to shine and relax. Tonya i s desperate for kindness and needs someone to love.    She is a medium-size, unique blend of breeds (including Queensland Heeler & Shepherd), 4 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    We rescued Tonya from another shelter that ran out of space for her.

Martina leans her head on the people she trusts.  She is desperate for kindness and fearful that she will be hurt again. We don't know what Martina endured, but her flinching from fast hand movements (among other signs) suggests she has been deeply hurt and abused.  Martina is a Cocker Spaniel mix, 3 years young and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for a hero adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  She was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her severe timidity.

Suzette's story is heartbreaking. She survived and all of her babies are alive too, so now our focus is on finding her a very gentle hero to shower her with benevolence. Suzette is a young Italian Greyhound & Chihuahua mix, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, and now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . *** Caution to sensitive readers *** At the time of rescue Suzette had been abused. (Our efforts to track down her abusers were not successful.) The horror of the betrayal of her innocence was even worse because she was pregnant. We worried Suzette may lose some or all of her babies. We placed her in a loving, nurturing foster home. She birthed her babies there and all were alive and healthy. Simba's desperation for kindness is easily seen in his eyes. He is safe now and beginning to understand this, and he's especially drawn to people who talk to him reassuringly with soft voices. Simba is an earnest boy, an attractive blend of Italian Greyhound & Parson Russell Terrier, 7 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.
