Teddy Bear , a teeny-tiny sweetheart (only 3 pounds) with a gentle soul, pleads for a peaceful home where he can love and be loved. He is a blond Chihuahua, 9 years of age and neutered, good with other small dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Teddy Bear was found on the streets in very poor condition. After months of loving care, veterinary care, and foster care, he is now ready for a forever home.

Spanky & Tamara , 12 & 6 years of age, Dachshund soul-mates, ask for a hero who will cherish them and always keep them together. Both are housetrained & crate-trained and good with other dogs.    Spanky is a neutered boy and Tamara is a spayed girl. They are ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. They were surrendered in neglected condition earlier this spring. We had dental care provided for Spanky and had a small chest growth removed from Tamara . Both recovered well from their operations.

Cookie hangs on your every word when you tell her she is lovely and amazing and about to find the best home ever.  She is an endearing Lhasa Apso & Toy mix, 6 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Cookie was at another shelter that asked for our help due to a growth on her gum (epilus). We had dental care provided for her, including the removal of the growth, and she is healing very well. Please visit and ask for Cookie by name.

Theodore is getting a fresh start at 12 years of age and he's beginning to understand that he will finally discover what a loving home feels like. He is a 4-pound Yorkshire Terrier, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Theodore was found in severely neglected condition (matted, filthy, dental problems) and emotionally scarred (quick movements terrify him). We don't know what he has endured through the years, but at some point Theodore's jaw was broken and he can only eat soft food. He is good with other dogs and accepts kindness from gentle people. He is now groomed, had dental care, and been placed on a premium diet. Please share Theodore's picture and help us find him a hero.

Precious , 14 years of age and blind, was found abandoned in a wash.  She relaxes in the presence of other sweet dogs.  Precious is a Spaniel mix, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Precious is not suffering and she has love to share. During her teeth cleaning, which included 14 teeth extractions, her veterinarian discovered an oral mass unable to be removed.  Precious is unaware of it, and if it is slow-growing, then she could have many more months.  We want her to know love and kindness for however many quality days/weeks/months she has left on Earth.  Please help find a hero for Precious .

A gentle, humble soul asking for nothing but kindness.  Matthew is a Shih-Tzu, 12 years of age, neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Matthew was the victim of heartbreaking neglect.  He was at another shelter that asked for our help.  He is partially blind in both eyes, so please take thorough safety precautions for him throughout your home and yard.  We had dental care provided for him and 11 of his teeth had to be extracted.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog Spa for his grooming transformation. Harmony was abandoned on a busy street in front of a large charitable organization in Vegas that focuses on helping people in financial distress.  She was in filthy, poor condition, with dental problems, and no sign of responsible ownership.  Harmony is a tiny, super sweet Toy & Chihuahua mix, 10 years of age.  She is now cleaned, groomed, eating premium food, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We had dental care provided for her, including numerous extractions.  Harmony likes other calm dogs and a gentle home where she will be cherished for her twilight years is ideal.

Tabitha is young at heart and surprisingly vibrant for 17 years of age.  She is quite affectionate too and fond of having soft conversations with you.  Tabitha is a lovely golden brown tabby, spayed girl, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She was in a state of neglect at the time of rescue, but she has bounced back well with loving care and dental care.  Please help us find Tabitha a hero so she can spend her final years with love and dignity in a responsible home.

Patty's recovery has been remarkable and she triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a regal little Pomeranian, almost 9 years of age, spayed, and good with other sweet dogs.  At the time of her rescue many months ago from extreme neglect, Patty was suffering from skin infections (due to untreated allergies) that resulted in extensive hair loss and small scabs all over her body.  In addition, her spirit was dulled (likely from malnutrition) and she had dental pain.  Patty has slowly and steadily recovered beautifully, receiving the veterinary care and dental cleaning (and 14 teeth extractions) she needed, and she is now ready to join a loving, forever home.  Please help us find Patty a home where she will be cherished dearly.

Beethoven , named for his lyrical personality, was out on the Vegas streets alone, neglected, mostly deaf, and with numerous dental problems.  He is a Maltese mix, about 10 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Beethoven is a very gentle soul and he gets along well with other dogs.  He is now cleaned up and eating premium food, and his 7 problem teeth have been extracted.  Please use consistent hand signals to help with communication and take extra safety precautions for him in your home and yard.

Empress is an exceptionally gentle girl debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is a Collie with majestic beauty, approximately 6 years of age and spayed, and compatible with most dogs. At the time of rescue earlier this summer Empress was emaciated from starvation.  Her previous owner said he and Empress were living on the streets out of a shopping cart and he couldn't feed her. Empress has since been steadily regaining weight and energy, plus we had her teeth cleaned. Please help us find her a very loving, stable, forever home.

Roxy may be 10 years of age and only 14 pounds, but the unconditional devotion she offers is beyond measure.  We love and admire her gentle spirit.  Roxy is a lovely Chihuahua mix, a spayed girl, debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Roxy adores kind people and she gets along beautifully with other dogs.  We rescued her from another shelter to provide her with dental care.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing her essence in this portrait to help her find a loving, forever home.

Will you please help us find a hero for Amy ?  She's a senior Boston Terrier, quite spunky for 12 years of age, a spayed girl with a very sweet and humble temperament.  Amy is mostly deaf and at the time of rescue she had a growth on her forehead and dental problems.  Consistent hand signals are important for communication with her, and her growth has been removed and her dental cleaning and extractions completed.  Amy is now ready for a loving, forever home.  She is reportedly housetrained and good with cats, dogs, and kids.  Please ask for her by name at Nevada SPCA.

China Doll was so matted and filthy she had sores on her skin.  She was at another shelter and needed dental care too.  We rescued her and one of our staff took her home (as a foster parent) to clean her up and begin her emotional healing.  (We also had dental care provided for her.)  China Doll's transformation has been remarkable, so you'll excuse our exuberance with pampering her in ribbons and a dress.  China Doll is a 5-pound angel, a Toy Poodle, 18 months young, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She likes to dance, be held in your lap, and snuggle up in blankets.  We never want China Doll to feel forgotten or worthless again.

Adopting senior dogs, like Cricket , can bring unsuspecting emotional rewards, along with immense gratitude and unconditional love.  Cricket was at another shelter and needed dental cleaning.  We rescued him, had his teeth cleaned (and one extraction), and he is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Cricket is a mellow Pekingese, about 10 years of age, neutered boy, and good with other dogs.  We love his sweet soul.  Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming care for Cricket .

Elvis dances on his hind legs when he is especially happy and greeting you.  He is a soulful Bichon Frise & Poodle mix, about 5 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA, and he is great wit h other sweet dogs.  We rescued Elvis from another shelter. He was a matted mess and one of his teeth was painfully broken, but he is now cleaned up, well with dental care, and ready to start a new life with lots of love and promise. Atlas is a sweet little ball of dynamite, all wiggly and excitable and full of joy.  He is a beaming Yorkshire Terrier, about 9 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Atlas from another shelter because he needed dental care (which we provided for him).  He is good with other friendly dogs and needs regular professional grooming.
