Aztec

Image
Aztec , tiny at 7 pounds, so desperately wants to bond with people.    If you sit on the floor, he'll slowly crawl into your lap. But, as the victim of severe abuse, he may panic if you try to pet him. Aztec worries that strangers will try to hurt him again. We rescued him from another shelter and his progress has been gradual and slow. We believe he adjusts best when another dog is present, so adopting him to a home with a big sister or brother dog is likely ideal. Aztec is a Longhair Chihuahua, 4 years of age, neutered, and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Noah

Image
Noah , the 3rd of the 33 rescued dogs ready for adoption, surprised and inspired us this morning when he confidently trotted into the courtyard, on a leash, and crawled right up on staff members' laps for hugs and kisses. Noah's progress has been at warp-speed and we're so proud of him for trusting us and understanding that we're working for his future. Because of all he endured and witnessed, he still needs a hero with extensive experience. He has never been in a loving home before and will need to adjust to many new routines and experiences. Noah is a medium-size Heinz 57 blend of Whippet, Beagle, Mini Bully & Sporting breeds, about 6 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He may be compatible with dogs his size and larger (unconfirmed). Here's more detail on the rescue of the 33 dogs.

Lexi

Image
Lexi , a blind Beagle mix debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA, wants to win your heart. She enjoys crawling in your lap, licking peanut butter off of her toys, sneaking doggie kisses, and sneaking food off counters (she doesn't think you can see her doing it). Lexi is 8 years of age, spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, and compatible with cats, dogs, and kids.    Please help us find her a hero.
