Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Shelly purrs when you tuck her into her bed at night, with another cat or stuffed animal toy at her side. She is a stunning baby girl, 3 months of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . At the time of rescue Shelly was found homeless. She has learned to trust people. Shelly would love to be another cat's devoted little sister.

Niven likes sitting close to your hand for gentle petting and touching.  He is an outgoing boy who likes making ever-stronger bonds with people.  Niven is an American guinea pig, 3 years of age, a boy, ready for adoption in the Lovebugs Room at Nevada SPCA .  He needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

Reese , 12, a gentle calico with a beautiful soul, enjoys being in your lap, making "happy feet" on cozy blankets, and living a drama-free and leisurely lifestyle.  Reese is good with people and cats, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  She was surrendered by her previous owners due to their financial hardship.

Albert Beatrice Camilla Albert and his sisters, Beatrice and Camilla , love to cuddle and build relationships with people. Since their rescue ("unwanted" and abandoned), they have been nurtured and socialized in a wonderful foster home with dogs. The babies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Albert is the most inquisitive, Beatrice likes purring next to people's ears, and Camilla enjoys playing with dogs.

Shania , an outgoing social butterfly, delights in meeting new people. Step into her playroom and she may be the first feline to run to you with a meow. Shania is a shorthair with lovely calico coloring. She is 2 years young, spayed, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Shania from another shelter and her background is otherwise unknown.

Genevieve is a tender-hearted and demure young girl who loves reassurance and gentle petting.    She is beautiful in spirit and appearance, a calico shorthair, spayed, 2 years of age, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Genevieve was pregnant and homeless at the time of rescue. She birthed and raised her babies in a wonderful foster home. Her kittens have since been spayed/neutered and adopted.    Please visit and ask for Genevieve by name.

Allie , a darling baby girl just 6 months of age, needs a forever home where she will always be loved and respected.  She is an American guinea pig with calico coloring, 6 months of age, and ready for adoption in the Lovebugs Room at Nevada SPCA.  Allie was "unwanted" by her previous owner.  Please visit and ask for her by name.

Orville & Wilbur , young brothers, Abyssinian guinea pigs with calico coloration, are ready for adoption in the Lovebugs Room at Nevada SPCA.  The boys are 1 year of age, and gentle and friendly with people who they become familiar with. They are bonded for life.  The brothers were surrendered by their previous owners who said their young child kept crawling into their habitat.

Gabby is happiest snuggling with you on the couch, occasionally kissing your chin, so grateful for your kindness and care.  Her other favorite activities include bird-watching from the windows, chasing her toys, and bonding with cats and dogs.  Gabby is a beautiful, chatty calico (or tortoiseshell & white), 5 years of age and spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please visit her in the Catnip Cabana playroom.

Caicos Callie Caicos & Callie are daughter and mother, 2 and 4 years of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue both Caicos & Callie had newborn kittens and all had been abandoned at a veterinary hospital.  We placed the moms and babies in a wonderful foster home for nurturing care.  Caicos and Callie stayed with their babies until they were weaned.  (Their kittens remain in foster care until they are old enough to be spayed and neutered.)  Both Caicos and Callie are good with other cats and enjoy chasing laser pointers, sitting in laps, and playing with the spinner toy.  Please visit and ask for them by name.

Delilah loves back scratches and gentle brushing.  She is a gorgeous calico medium-hair, 2 years young, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Delilah is exceptional with other cats and does best with soft-spoken people.  At the time of rescue she and her four babies were on the streets, trying to fend for themselves.  Delilah's babies have since been fostered, spayed/neutered, and adopted.  It's now mom's turn to find a loving, forever home too.

Penny Lane is an adorable baby guinea pig debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA in our Lovebugs Room.  She is a precious, calico Abyssinian breed, about 5 months of age.  Penny Lane enjoys people and revels in gentle attention.  At the time of rescue Penny Lane had been abandoned in a neighborhood and found her way into a garage for protection and food.  We're grateful that this baby girl still believes in people despite one person's extremely cruel and reckless act.

Jasmine is a gorgeous young girl who is fascinated by women's long hair and likes to play with it gently.  She is a calico shorthair, 2 years of age, spayed, good with other cats, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Jasmine was believed to be semi-feral (undomesticated) after being abandoned outdoors. But a foster mom worked with her extensively and Jasmine enjoys human companionship, trusts people, and relishes being brushed.  She is a bit shy, but her progress has been enormous.  A gentle, calm home would be ideal for Jasmine .

Dee Dee would love to be your personal assistant, helping you around the house as much as she can, always being near and loyal. She is a beautiful shorthair with a calico tail, previously declawed, spayed, about 5 years of age, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Dee Dee from another shelter. Celine relishes being cradled and reassured.  She is 12 years of age, a very gentle calico, and her world turned upside down when her previous owners abandoned their foreclosed home and left her behind in the neighborhood to fend for herself.  At the time of rescue she had returned to the home, entered through the doggie door, and was attacked by two dogs (owned by the home's new owners).  She is recovering well from the wounds, including a large cut under her left eye, but her heart is shattered and we are in overdrive consoling her out of severe depression.  Celine debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA and she has enormous devotion to offer you.  Please be her hero and always keep her safely indoors, loved and cherished.

Brigitte Catherine Cherie Honey Bun Mademoiselle We rescued Mademoiselle and her four newborns, then just 4 days old, back in July, on one of the hottest days of the year.  Mademoiselle had given birth to her babies in someone's backyard. Mademoiselle was so fatigued and dehydrated that we worried she would be too weak to care for her babies.  We rushed the five cats into foster care and showered them with loving attention, and Mademoiselle proved to be a wonderful, nurturing mother. Now, Mademoiselle and her kittens are spayed and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Mademoiselle is an exceptionally affectionate silver tabby, 3 years of age.  Her daughters are 4 months of age, and all are loving, playful, and athletic.  Brigitte is a shorthair dilute calico.  Catherine is a shorthair tortoiseshell & white.  Cherie is a medium-hair torbie.  And Honey Bun is a medium-hair calico. Margaret is a beautiful baby girl who delights in exploring every nook and cranny of every room she adventures into.  She is a fearless tom-boy with an inquisitive nature. She is a Calico kitten, spayed, about 4 months of age, and ready for adoption into a loving, forever home.  Like all cats, she needs to live indoors only for her safety and protection. Margaret was surrendered to us many weeks ago by a person abandoning multiple cats with, frankly, an incoherent background story for them.  We had no space at the time, so we raised her in an office area near rabbits, and she loved walking among their bunny condos, getting to know each of them. Though independent, Margaret has an affectionate nature and she will enjoy you taking time to play with her each day, whether with a string, a toy tunnel, cat tree, etc. Please ask for her by name in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

Precious is aptly named. She is a playful, loving, chatty, and plump young angel seeking a committed new home. She is a Calico & white shorthair, spayed female, about one year of age. Precious is shy at first, but very warm with those she knows and trusts. She needed us after her previous owner abandoned her in the foreclosed home. Neighbors rescued her from dehydration. Update: Stewart was adopted on June 26th! Stewart is fortunate to still be alive. Alone in an abandoned apartment for 3 weeks, he was starving and living in filth when found and rescued by neighbors. But Stewart still believes in people. In fact, he adores humans, always ready for attention, and he loves to snuggle under your chin when you hold him. Stewart is an American guinea pig with distinguished Calico coloring. He is approximately one year of age. Please only consider Stewart (or any other companion animal) if you can make a lifetime commitment to him. In Stewart's case, this means being willing and able to care for him for the next 7 years, perhaps longer. Stewart is available for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Twinkle is a playful, chatty, sweet, and affectionate young girl for adoption. At the time of rescue she had been living with a homeless family in a car. This beautiful Calico dreams of a safe, comfortable home and a caring new person or couple to make a lifetime commitment to her. Twinkle is a medium-hair, spayed, just a year of age.
