Derwin was found on a highway, running, with no indication of how he got there.    He is a very attractive young tabby, medium-hair, 1 year young, now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Derwin is most interested in his toys if you are playing too. He still acts kitten-like and wants lots of petting and holding.    Derwin is good with other cats.

Christian is a junior kitten who enjoys games of hide-and-seek, playing with your hair, and purring in your arms.  He is fascinated by people and their behaviors, always trying to learn and understand.  Christian is an adorable brown tabby, under 1 year of age, good with cats, now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Frannie is 28 pounds of love and she is very huggable and affectionate.  She is well suited for a quieter home where she can listen to you, comfort you, and be your devoted companion.  Frannie is 13 years of age and needed us when her previous owner moved overseas without her.  She is a lovely brown tabby, spayed girl, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please help us find a hero for this sweet girl.

Pookey was found on a busy Las Vegas street missing her left front leg and taken to another shelter.  She is now safe at Nevada SPCA and ready to find a loving, forever home where she will always be indoors and safe, a treasured member of the family.  Pookey is a lovely brown tabby who delights in laying in your lap and soaking up affection.  A leisurely lifestyle is perfect for her.  Pookey is fine with other cats (who give her space), about 9 years of age, and spayed.  Please help us find Pookey a gentle home.

Felipe is a handsome kitten with a gentle spirit and he craves attention. Rescued from a hoarder, we believe another cat scratched his right eye.  The scarring is slowly reducing and he still has most vision in the eye.  A veterinarian who examined him believes the scarring may continue to diminish in size. Felipe is a brown tabby, now 6 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Wonder Woman is actually still a kitten of course, but she would love to become your very own superstar and grow to become a majestic adult. She is a gorgeous, affectionate brown tabby, 3 months of age, spayed baby girl with a hearty purr, and she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Wonder Woman's hero was her foster dad, who bottle fed her at all hours of the day and night after her rescue as a motherless newborn.

We love how tender-hearted Julia is.  She is exceptionally affectionate and enjoys sitting by you quietly. She is a gorgeous, though humble girl, spayed, brown tabby, medium-hair, just a year of age. Rather than roaming your entire home, Julia is more likely to enjoy and find peace-of-mind in a small section that she can call her own. Matthew is a baby-faced young boy, adventurous and playful and bright-eyed for new experiences. He is an especially handsome medium-hair brown tabby (with a perfect "M" on his forehead), neutered, 2 years of age, ready for adoption today in Nevada SPCA's Cat Condo playrooms. Matthew relishes chasing string toys and laser dots (from laser pointer pens).  But he also delights in cuddling with you for a sweet catnap. Based on his interaction with visitors, we believe he will be great with kind children.

Mizzy has a universe of love to share with the fortunate person (or people) who adopt her and give her a forever home. She is a gorgeous, affectionate brown tabby with white, spayed girl, approximately 3 years of age. Mizzy needed us when her previous owner moved out-of-state without her. Preacher (pictured here) and Bast , a young Siamese cat, needed us when their previous mom's cancer advanced and she was diagnosed with just weeks to live.  She loves them dearly and wants us to find them homes where they will be cherished every single day. Preacher earned his name due to his enormous love for everyone.  He glows with heavenly goodness.  He enjoys nurturing people and other cats, licking them gently to comfort them. He is a large tabby (with white), neutered boy, approximately 10 years of age.  Please come meet him, and please meet Bast too in case you can make room for two.

Laika was rescued from a vacant foreclosed home, in terrible condition, emaciated and dirty and desperate for reassurance. We believe she had been there for weeks, trying to survive on her own without fresh food or clean water. She is steadily regaining weight and we cleaned her up and had her ears flushed.  She is lively again, and hopeful, and yearns for gentle companionship. Laika is a petite, dainty brown tabby with white, spayed girl, about 4 years of age. Please adopt her and cherish her every day, so that she never needs to fear being abandoned again. Ozzie is fond of belly rubs, laying on the floor stretching out his paws as far as they can go. We love his easy-going nature and quiet confidence. Ozzie is a dashingly handsome brown tabby, shorthair, with enchanting eyes.  He is neutered and about 6 years of age. He gets along well with other cats and seems to avoid drama.  We believe he may be compatible with kind children too. Ozzie needed us because his previous owners said they moved into a home where cats were not allowed. Please ask for Ozzie in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

Update: Jamie was adopted on February 8th! When we need to test a dog for compatibility with cats, Jamie is our eager volunteer.  We read his body language as he assesses the dogs and this helps us determine which dogs are safe to be adopted into households with felines. Big or small, he adores canines.   If they are friendly he will mark them with his whiskers and cheeks and flop on his back and paw at them to initiate gentle play. Jamie is good with cats too, and deeply loves people, yet the months have rolled by without finding him a forever home.  Please give this handsome boy a second look. Update: Smurf was adopted on January 15th! Smurf , still a kitten at about 10 months of age, would love to become your 'executive assistant', following you as you get things done. For example, he loves chasing the broom bristles while you sweep. Smurf is an attractive brown tabby with hazel eyes.  He is neutered and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is an endearing boy with a gentle temperament.  Like all cats, it is imperative that from now on he remains indoors only for his safety and protection. Update: James was adopted on December 20th! James is a handsome kitten with a noble, almost leonine-like face. Life is a bowl of cherries for this boy, as he excels in playing and bonding with other energetic and friendly cats.  James debuts for adoption today.  He is neutered and about 9 months of age, a silver and brown tabby with snow-white coloring. He was rescued at night when found wandering alone near a busy street.  The outdoors are a thing of the past, as he looks forward from now on to the safety and protection of being strictly indoors. James provides non-stop entertainment.  When he gets a glimpse of the laser light sneaking toward him on the floor, it is Game On!  We're careful to avoid shining it in his eyes, of course, and he is determined to catch the red dot, eventually.

Update: Blazer was adopted on June 12th! Let Blazer charm and dazzle you with his affectionate, snuggly nature. Blazer is an exceptionally handsome Mackerel Tabby with hazel eyes, neutered male, about one year of age. One of his cutest behaviors is doing happy feet in the air while leaning into you while being cradled. Blazer needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship. He enjoys other sweet cats and looks forward to a safe, secure lifestyle, indoors-only.
