Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Chubby , a big ball of sunshine and love, lays on his back in your lap to happily accept his thrice-daily eye-drops. He was blind at the time of rescue. Two surgeries -- a face-lift (to pull skin folds out of his eyes) and entropion surgery (to repair inward-folding eyelids) -- have restored Chubby's vision. Thank you very much to the generous donors who made his advanced care and rehabilitation and possible! Chubby is an exceptionally joyous English Bulldog, 6 years of age and neutered, housetrained, good with kids and some dogs, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Mr. Burns , 17, blind, weighing only 4 pounds, politely asks for your consideration. Kind, gentle hands help him feel secure.    He is a Chihuahua, good with other dogs, neutered, and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .    Mr. Burns was at another shelter that asked for our help after he was found abandoned on the streets.

Milo , blind and 12 years of age, enjoys burrowing under blankets and treasuring peaceful moments.  He is a kind, solemn gentleman, a Dachshund mix, neutered, good with other sweet dogs, and debuting for a hero adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Milo was at another shelter that asked for our help and his past is otherwise unknown.

Parker , 12, listens carefully for words of reassurance.  Mostly blind, comforting sounds and touch mean the world to him.  Parker is a sensitive boy pleading for a gentle hero.  He is a blend of Italian Greyhound and Miniature Pinscher, good with other dogs, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Amy , 3 years young and blind, yearns for comfort and reassurance.    Sit by her calmly and she steps close to be in your presence and feel better at ease. Amy is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, now spayed and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .    She is housetrained and crate-trained (once she memorizes your home and yard), good with other dogs (but may accidentally step on small dogs), and good with older and gentle kids.    Amy was surrendered by her previous owner who cited becoming pregnant as the reason. Bambi , 13 and blind, pleads for a hero for her twilight years. Your kind touch and words mean everything to her.    Bambi is a Beagle & Chihuahua mix, housetrained & crate-trained, good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    She needed us when her previous owner moved away without her.

Gorgeous is blind, so your very kind voice and touch mean the world to her. New places, understandably, are terrifying, and she needs your time and patience while she learns the lay-out of your home and yard. Please take extra thorough safety precautions around pools, stairs, and other potential hazards. Gorgeous is a gold & white Longhair Chihuahua & Toy mix, 8 years of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She was at another shelter that asked for our help. Gorgeous feels safe being around other dogs. She will likely adjust best with the guidance and companionship of a new sister or brother dog. Please help us find her a hero.

Twinkle loves to be in gentle arms, hearing words of praise and reassurance. She is a young Chihuahua & Italian Greyhound mix, 3 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Twinkle is blind in both eyes (birth defects), so please very thorough safety precautions for her throughout your home and yard. She needed us when her previous owner moved into a home with someone allergic to dogs.

Roxy is blind and relies on her soul-mate, Daisy . Her emotional well-being and ability to confidently move about depends on the complex and powerful bond the two have formed and developed. Daisy adores Roxy too and wants to care for her. We rescued these sweet girls from another shelter so they could remain together forever. Roxy , 7, is a Shih-Tzu mix. Daisy , 2, is a Maltese. Mitzie , 8, cannot see you, but she senses your spirit and presence. Touch and speak to her gently and she overflows with adoration and gratitude. Mitzie is a medium-size Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, blind, spayed, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter and her background is otherwise unknown.    Mitzie loves people with all of her heart and doesn't want another dog to interfere with her bonding, so a one-dog household is needed.    Please share Mitzie's pictures to help find her a hero.

Gracie Angel cannot see your smiles, so kind praise and reassuring touches mean the world to her. She is very trusting and slowly walks at your side, believing that you will keep her safe from bumping into a wall or table or other potential hazard. Gracie is a red-gold Labrador Retriever mix, perhaps with Bully, 11 years of age and spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is housetrained & crate-trained (once she learns the home and routine) and compatible with dog and kids. Benny & Eva , 15, brother and sister, need a hero and debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Both are gentle souls, housetrained, and compatible with cats, dogs, and older kids. Benny is blind, so please take thorough safety precautions for them throughout your home and yard. Eva whimpers to be held. She loves being in the arms of a kind woman, but needs more time to warm to men. Benny & Eva are inseparable, bonded for life. They needed us due to their previous owner's financial hardship.

Lexi , a blind Beagle mix debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA, wants to win your heart. She enjoys crawling in your lap, licking peanut butter off of her toys, sneaking doggie kisses, and sneaking food off counters (she doesn't think you can see her doing it). George , 10, finds your soothing words and touch of the greatest importance.  He is very humble and grateful for kindness.    George was found on the streets, blind, with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tags, no microchip ID, not neutered).    George is a gentle, small Heinz 57 with Beagle and he is now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    Please be sure to take thorough safety precautions for him throughout your home and yard, particularly around stairs, pools, and other potential hazards he cannot see.

Boo Boo , a 4-year-old Pekingese, is so outgoing that it's easy to forget he is blind.  He is exceptionally loving and trusting too, confident that he can walk at your side knowing you will certainly protect him from harm.  At the time of rescue Boo Boo had already lost his vision due to severe and painful glaucoma in both eyes.  He has recovered well (from enucleation surgery) and he's eager to become a valued member of a loving family.  Boo Boo is good with dogs, neutered, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please very carefully take thorough safety precautions for him throughout your home and yard.

Bravery coos like a baby at times and he's great with cats and dogs.  Now no longer in pain -- he was found neglected on the streets with bulging, painful eyes blinded by severe glaucoma -- Bravery is thriving and ready to debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He healed from his enucleation surgery (removal of his eyes) in a wonderful foster home.  Bravery's foster parents said he is terrific with cats and dogs and can learn his way around the house and backyard within just a few days.  He loves being around people and animals and he is afraid of being alone.  They said Bravery is housetrained too and will bark if he gets lost in the backyard and needs you to pick him up. Bravery is a tiny Chihuahua, 12 years of age, and neutered.  Please help find him a hero.

Luna cannot see us, but she beams because she knows she is adored, thanks to tender touch, premium meals, and words spoken in reassuring tones.   Luna is the most gentle soul, a Miniature Poodle, 10 years of age, blind, spayed, housetrained, good with dogs & kids, and patiently awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these new portraits to help find Luna a hero.
