Be gentle and patient with me, please.

Elvin, puppy, 5 months. Jacques, junior puppy, 7 months. Elvin and Jacques are very bashful puppies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Reportedly taken from a "hoarder's house", they have never walked on a leash or had even basic socialization until now.  They are 2 of the 5 taken from that home to another shelter which asked for our help.  ( You may recall Comet, Meteor, and Moonbeam, the other 3, who were featured a few days ago .)  Elvin and Jacques are both small Heinz 57s with Toy & Terrier, 5-7 months of age, neutered boys.  Ideally, we'd like to find each of them an experienced home with a big sister or big brother dog who will help them adjust and reach their full loving potential. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

Will you help us reach our full loving potential?

Landon, baby boy. Natalie, baby girl. Landon and Natalie are tiny babies who need heroes to help them become well-adjusted, well-balanced adults.  They were among three undomesticated Chihuahua puppies rescued in January (in either an extremely neglectful home or to a mother who had no home).  We placed the trio in a loving foster home where they have been socialized with other small dogs.  The foster parents adopted one of the boys, but Landon and Natalie need forever homes, ideally with big brother or sister dogs to help them continue to adjust.  Landon and Natalie are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

I just don't want to be hurt again.

Please help us find a hero for Theodore , who is a young boy with enormous loving potential, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Theodore sees humans as capable of violence and rage -- his head scars and timidity support the suspicions of a volunteer who rescued him from a home where he was suspected of being beaten with brooms and other objects.  So it is other dogs who give Theodore comfort and hope.  He is making some progress with us with trust, but finding a home with a big brother or big sister dog is key for his continued healing.  Theodore is a medium-size Heinz 57 with Retriever, about 2 years of age, now neutered and ready for an experienced and stable home where he sees only the best of human nature.

There is hope for me. I have potential.

Autumn is so afraid someone will scream at her, or strike her, that she cowers on the ground.  But she lets us pick her up and accepts our kindness.  We can only imagine what she has endured, yet she still wants to believe in people.  When Autumn sees another dog, her spirits lift and her tail begins to wag.  She loves other dogs and we would love to find her a home with a big sister dog or a big brother dog so she can reach her full loving potential.  Autumn is a very pretty, petite Bully mix, 2 years young, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Please help us find Autumn a hero.

I feel better when you hold me.

Violet is a tiny, 5-pound junior puppy (10 months of age) who yearns for reassurances and comfort.  She is humble and unassuming, very shy, but she will bloom in a loving, stable home environment where she understands that she is cherished and safe.  Violet is a Longhair Chihuahua mix, perhaps with Terrier, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She gets along very well with other dogs and a big brother dog or big sister dog may be very helpful in her development and progress toward becoming a well-adjusted, well-balanced girl.
