Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Tara is a bright-eyed sweetheart who loves going for walks and getting belly & chin rubs.    She is nurturing to the people she loves. Tara's previous owner (who surrendered her when she moved into a nursing home) said that when she fell that Tara would maneuver underneath her to try and help her get back up. Tara is afraid of the dark, so please keep a night-light on for her in the bedroom. Tara is a Terrier & Toy mix, 7 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with other dogs (but not children), and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Mina's favorite games include play-wrestling with your hand while you rub her belly and playing baseball with her toys (hurling them in the air and catching them).  She is a beautiful, fun-loving Siamese with Caribbean-blue eyes, 1 year of age and spayed, good with other cats, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Mina was found abandoned on the streets.

Trey , the cutest little firecracker, a baby boy with a dynamic personality, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Trey chases the laser light, grunting and meowing in his zeal to capture the red-pointed dot. He also enjoys belly rubs and cuddling in your arms. Trey is a shorthair kitten with unique facial coloration (including a triangle/diamond beauty mark), 3 months of age and neutered, and good with other cats.    He was found in an abandoned condo.

Matilda & Chopper , soul-mates, an English Bulldog ( Matilda ) and Olde English Bulldogge ( Chopper ), love belly rubs, children and adults, cats and dogs. Their hearts are full of kindness and they need a forever home. They are housetrained & crate-trained, 4-5 years of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Matilda & Chopper are bonded for life, together forever. They needed us due to their previous owner's home foreclosure.

Big, gentle Ford was saved by the kindness of a young child. On the way home from school, the child watched an adult cruelly throw Ford out of a car onto the side of a road. The compassionate child picked him up -- all 22 pounds of him! -- and carried him home so he could be taken to safety. Ford loves cuddling and belly rubs. He is a calm-natured silver tabby, 5 years of age, neutered boy, good with other cats, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Rita , 9, is a tiny (5 pounds) girl with a big personality. Some of her favorite things include playing with cat toys (toy mice), stepping into the shower with people, and getting belly rubs. Rita is good with other dogs, housetrained, a blond Chihuahua, spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She was at another shelter that asked for our help.

The best way to describe young Magnus is maybe as 75 pounds of wiggles, kisses, belly rubs, and hugs! In his heart, Magnus is still a baby. He has no idea of his size and strength. Every waking moment is ideal for joy and expressing affection. Magnus likes other dogs too, but he overwhelms them with his athleticism if they are not close in size and energy level to him. Magnus is a chocolate & white American Bulldog & Bully mix, 1 year young and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He was at another shelter that asked for our help.

Raymond , 9, loves belly rubs, walks, playing ball, and frequent treats throughout the day. He is a burst of sunshine and shines when you praise him. Raymond is a Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, housetrained, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He needed us due to his previous owner's relocation. Raymond likes cats, dogs, and older kids. But he needs to be fed alone and worries that his food will get stolen.

Fiona & Shrek , jovial English Bulldogs, and their beloved "daughter" Felicia , are ready for a foster or foster-to-adopt home. We always find Felicia standing on their backs or cuddling between them. She sometimes stands on both of them at once or rides on their back like a cowgirl on a horse. Fiona & Shrek adore her and baby her. Certainly, an inseparable trio! They needed us due to the deteriorating health of their previous owner. Fiona needed medication for a few weeks and now she's well. Fiona is 7 years of age, Shrek is 9 years of age, and Felicia is 2 years of age. Versace longs to feel accepted. When he knows you like him, he insists on giving doggie kisses to thank you and then asks for a belly rub. Versace is a very cute, cream Longhair Chihuahua, 1 year young, neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help because he does not like young children.    Please visit and ask for Versace by name.

Bandit is all about belly rubs, big smiles, and loyalty. He likes to know that being at your side is helpful and appreciated. Bandit glows with goodwill for the people he adores. He is a handsome Queensland Heeler, 6 years of age, neutered boy, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued Bandit from another shelter that asked for our help because he requires a one-dog household.

Tina chirps and coos for you to pick her up and "go for a ride". She loves being carried in your arms as you walk around the house. Tina also enjoys belly rubs, bonding with other cats, and hearing people talk to her about their day. She is a young girl with a beautiful spirit, 2 years of age and spayed, awaiting adoption in the Treehouse Playroom at Nevada SPCA.    Tina needed us because of her previous owners' financial hardship.

Clifford , 14, may identify himself as a Pug, the breed of dogs he has lived with most of his life.    Clifford walks on a leash, cuddles dogs and wants to be near them, and rolls over just like they do for belly rubs. Clifford needed us when his previous owner became homeless. He has extra toes (polydactyl), previously declawed, 21 pounds, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    Please share his pictures and help Clifford find a hero.

Ying Yang gladly rolls over belly rubs.  He is big and confident, wonderfully easy-going, and compatible with cats and dogs.  Ying Yang needed us when his previous owner passed away.  He is a handsome 9-year-old, neutered boy ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please meet and adopt him in the Ocean Playroom.

Thank you to the UNLV Rebel Football team for giving Magic firsthand Puppy Bowl training this afternoon. Magic , likely the smallest competitor in Animal Planet's upcoming Puppy Bowl, got a terrific boost today from the UNLV Rebel Football stars.  The afternoon began with a belly rub, followed by game pointers, talking strategy in a huddle, lots of chasing and ball throwing, then designating Magic a real Rebel, ready for the big game. Rodney's expressive eyes reveal his plea for a sense of belonging. Tell him you're happy with him and he'll lick your chin or roll over for a belly rub. Rodney is a super sweet, athletic young Bully mix with tuxedo coloration, 2 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    He is compatible with some dogs who he knows and gets used to being around.    Rodney was found on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership.

Mickey chats and sings to get your attention (and expects you to understand every sound) and adores gentle belly rubs.  He likes other cats and he bonds well with older, mature kids.  Mickey is a good-looking tabby with teal-green eyes, 2 years young and neutered, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

Tammy's favorite things include belly rubs, playing with cats and dogs, and bonding with kind people.  She is a baby girl with a beautiful spirit, a blue & cream (dilute tortoiseshell) kitten, 4 months of age and spayed, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home carefully for her safety.  At the time of rescue Tammy's tail was severely wounded and maimed from reportedly getting caught in barbed wire. Much of her tail had to be amputated and she has healed well.

You can see so much hope and kindness in Annie's eyes.  This beautiful girl is blooming and now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Annie from another shelter.  She was terrified and wanted nothing to do with people.  But thanks to exceptional foster care, Annie is now housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs of all sizes, playing fetch and enjoying belly rubs, and realizing that people are capable of incredible kindness.  Annie is a medium-size Heinz 57, likely with Bully or Rottweiler, 3 years young and spayed.  Please help find her a wonderful home where she continues to improve and reach her full loving potential.
