His previous owner passed away and he does not understand what has happened.    Still, this polite boy trusts his caretakers and accepts kindness and reassurances. He loves walks and playing with his toys. Alexa , a starving baby girl just rescued and needs a foster home please! We just fed her and we are cleaning her up. Alexa is accepting kindness and enjoys being held. Campbell is improving every day with trust and accepting care.  She is a green iguana, adult, about 3 feet long, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Campbell's background is mostly unknown. She was injured (a minor mouth injury) and at another shelter that asked for our help.

Bradford is beginning to enjoy people. His whole way of thinking seems to be changing and he's becoming more eager to accept kindness. Bradford is 1 of the 33 Whippet mixes rescued this spring from a cruel home. He is 3 years of age, now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Most of the 33 are either already up for adoption or have been adopted. Bonnie Blue Belle Jade Opal Phoebe Piper We are inspired by the progress of these five girls!   Bonnie Blue Belle , Jade , Opal , Phoebe , and Piper debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. They are 5 more of the 33 dogs confiscated from squalor and horrors. The girls are beginning to walk on leash, wag their tails when they greet us, step into our laps for cuddling, and exhibit other ways of accepting compassion.    All are gentle and blooming. Nevertheless, very experienced heroes are needed to adopt them because they have never experienced a loving home before and will need time and patience to adjust. The girls are 3 and 4 years of age and now spayed. They are medium in size, ranging from 20-33 pounds, blends of Whippet, Beagle, Mini Bully, and more. More details on the 33 rescued dogs .

Bonnie is the 6th of the 33 medium-size Heinz 57s (Beagle, Whippet & Mini Bully mixes) confiscated from squalor and horrors. Her previous owner was convicted of animal cruelty. More details. Bonnie is a 23-pound sweetheart, 3 years of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    She is fine with other dogs (her size and larger only).    Bonnie needs a hero who will be very patient and understanding with her.

Sweet Pete is the first of the 33 rescued dogs to be ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. He lived in squalor his whole life and witnessed horrors. But Sweet Pete believes in people and readily accepts nurturing and kindness. He is about 4 years of age, neutered, medium in size (as are all 33), and perhaps a blend of Whippet, Beagle, Bully, and small Sporting breeds. Even though Sweet Pete is exceptionally gentle, he requires an experienced home because he has never before known loving care or been inside an adequate home or on a lifestyle routine. Perry and her brother were just found in distress behind a grocery store, less than a day old, with their mother nowhere in sight. Here she is just minutes ago accepting care and nourishment from Lani, a staff member who is now her surrogate mother. We cannot say thank you enough to foster parents who are heroes for newborns like Perry (pictured here) and other fragile animals, and to all of you who support Nevada SPCA with donations of funds or animal rescue supplies.

Adrian was reportedly running around a neighborhood for about a month before finally being captured.  She is understandably shy and nervous, but accepting kindness and so grateful for good meals and treats.  We had Adrian spayed and she is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is a blond, medium-size Heinz 57 (a unique blend of many breeds), less than 2 years of age, and compatible with at least some dogs.  Adrian needs an experienced owner who can help her understand that she no longer has to fend for herself and can trust people for nurturing care.

Gloria Grace Wallace Wendell Gloria , Grace , Wallace , and Wendell are four innocent, bashful babies with enormous loving potential and they debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  They are attractive Manchester Terrier mix puppies, about 6 months of age, spayed/neutered, and expected to grow to 15-20 pounds.  Gloria and Grace are girls, and Wallace and Wendell are boys.  They were at another shelter that asked for our help because they were cowering in their kennel.  All four are improving and responding well to kindness from volunteers and staff, though Wallace remains particularly timid.  A big sister or brother dog for each of them may be ideal to help them adjust and continue building self-esteem.  Please also puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

Paul, October 7, the day of his rescue. Paul, October 16, his debut for adoption. Paul wants to know what being loved feels like.  He is a gentle Lhasa-Poo, 1 year of age, good with other dogs, and now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Paul was found near an apartment complex where he reportedly roamed and scrapped for food from anyone kind enough to help him.  Finally, a man captured him and brought him to safety with us.  Rather than being afraid, Paul eagerly accepted our help and volunteers began cleaning and feeding him immediately.  Please help Paul find a responsible home where he will be cherished and adored as a valuable member of the family.

Summer , an adorable junior kitten, is blooming and trusting humans again.  Many weeks ago she was found perilously abandoned in a box at the corner of a busy Vegas intersection without food or water.  Summer was so traumatized by this that she refused to let us touch her for several days.  Once she began accepting kindness and care, she quickly warmed and understood that she was safe.  Now, she seeks out human companionship and makes "soft paws" on blankets while you pet her.  Summer is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please help find her a responsible and devoted home so that she never faces danger or rejection again.
