Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

A kind man found Brody in Red Rock Canyon, presumably abandoned, with no sign of responsible ownership, and in grave danger from the coyotes there.  Brody was terrified, but the man was able to capture him.  Brody spent some time at his home before coming to us and Brody is reportedly housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with cats, dogs, and kids.  Brody is a medium-size Heinz 57 with Beagle, sporting handsome gold coloring, and he is 2 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Nitro is a pensive, intelligent youngster seeking insight and understanding about human nature.  Tied to a pole and abandoned, Nitro cannot comprehend how someone he loved could have disposed of him so ruthlessly and recklessly.  Nitro is an especially attractive Bully mix, 2 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  This devoted boy has enormous potential and we ask for your help in finding him a hero who will never fail him.

Dennis is a big, lovable Lynx Point Siamese debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is very personable and his ocean-blue eyes are commented by many as being so human-like.  Dennis is 3 years young and neutered.  At the time of rescue one of our staff found him in severe distress, trapped in a cage outdoors without food or water.  He was so traumatized by being dumped so mercilessly that it took him several days to calm down.  But Dennis is now responding beautifully to loving care, realizing he is safe and that his future will be one with love and respect and dignity.  Please ask for Dennis by name when you visit.

At the time of rescue this sweetheart was on display at a yard sale, being disposed of as if he were a simple piece of property.  But while all the knick-knacks were at least 50 cents or a dollar, his sign just said "FREE".  Silverman is actually a treasure, an incredibly sweet and regal bunny with a world of love to share with you.  Silverman is a Chinchilla breed rabbit, about 2-3 years of age, now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Bobo Mannie Bobo and his brother Mannie are gentle baby boys debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  The boys and their mother ( Buffy , also rescued) were found in someone's front yard and were presumed to have been abandoned there.  Bobo is a tiger tabby and Mannie is a spotted tabby with a shorter tail and clubbed hind foot. They are now 3 months of age, neutered, and ready for loving, indoor-only, forever homes.  Please ask for Bobo and Mannie specifically by name when you visit.

Mena is a petite, captivating girl with soft blue eyes and she is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  A gentle home is best for her, indoors-only, of course.  Mena's previous owner kept her outdoors and she was so neglected that besides all of the grime and dirt in her coat, two of her claws had grown so long they had circled and torn into her paws.  When they dumped her they brought her in a shabby box that she quickly escaped from, and then she hid under a dumpster, terrified.  Mena is a gorgeous Tortie Point Siamese, about 6 years of age, spayed, and best-suited for a calm lifestyle.

Nelly is going to give birth any day now and she is one of the rescued felines we urgently need a foster home for as soon as possible please. Nelly needs a comfortable, peaceful place to birth and raise her babies, requiring a foster comm itment of at least three months. If you can help Nelly and her babies, please visit Nevada SPCA ( www.nevadaspca.org ) before 4pm and ask for Ashyadee. Nelly was surrendered Saturday by her previous owners who said they just no longer had room for her. She is a super sweet, gorgeous young girl, about 2 years of age, with a docile nature. Please help us find Nelly a hero. Separately, we also have 11 rescued kittens (from 3 litters) who need loving foster homes too.

Raven is a gorgeous, devoted girl with many tremendous qualities, despite having been failed repeatedly by past owners.  She loved them unconditionally, but they rejected her, and so it's no surprise that she now may have separation anxiety, fearful of abandonment forever when you leave her sight.  There are no instant fixes for separation anxiety, but with time and a stable routine, and possibly crate-training, great improvements can be made.  Raven is a German Shepherd with a majestic appearance, about 6 years of age, spayed, good with cats and dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please help Raven find a hero.

Delilah is a beautiful youngster and she is enthusiastic to begin her new life with love and kindness.  She is medium-size Bully mix with rich grey & white coloring, 1 year of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Delilah adores people, but may need to be the only dog in the home.  Please give her kind guidance and basic training. At the time of rescue she was found in front of a business, tied to a post by a lamp cord, with a note saying "Take me to the shelter".

Fawn is beautiful in spirit and appearance.  She is a petite, crested guinea pig, about 18 months young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA in the Lovebugs Room.  Fawn has a calm temperament and she responds well to handling.  At the time of rescue this angel had been abandoned in a vacated apartment.  Please ask for Fawn by name when you visit.

Mystery is an exceptionally engaging young girl who loves chatting with you and looking in your eyes.  She is a gorgeous Lynx Point Siamese mix, 2 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  One of our volunteers found Mystery stuffed in a cage with four other cats alongside a dumpster.  (All five survived and are becoming available for adoption as they are spayed/neutered.)  Mystery is an incredible treasure and she has enormous unconditional love to share with you.

Pookus is a handsome lovebug who loves to catnap by windows, bathed in sun rays.  He is a golden brown tabby & white shorthair, neutered boy, about 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Pookus is one of five cats found by a volunteer stuffed inside a single cage and thrown away beside a dumpster.  (All five survived and are becoming available for adoption as we get them spayed/neutered and prepared.)  Pookus is blessed with an easy-going personality and just wants love and kindness and to live indoors only in safety from now on.

Tudor is a lively, engaging young girl ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please ask for her by name in the Lovebugs Room. She is a petite, Satin mix bunny, 1 year of age and now spayed.  Tudor needed us after she was abandoned in a neighborhood and crawled into someone's backyard looking for food and shelter.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for photographing her on a bed of roses to help her find a loving, forever, indoor-only home.

Kamara likes to chat softly with you throughout the day.  For such a gentle and docile girl, she has so much to say and she enjoys sharing her thoughts with you.  Kamara is a very kind black & white shorthair, 10 years of age and spayed, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She gets along well with other cats and she is well-behaved.  Kamara's previous owners moved away and decided not to take her (for reasons of their own which we cannot understand or relate to).  Please help this graceful older girl get the loving home she deserves and needs.

Candy Kisses Sweetheart Sweet Chocolate Candy , Kisses , Sweet Chocolate , and Sweetheart are the four "Lovebug Baby Sisters" and they are debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  The girls are approximately 4-5 months of age, Shepherd mixes, spayed, and expected to grow to large size.  All four are affectionate and playful.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. The puppies can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong love and companionship.  At the time of rescue they had been abandoned in a park.

Bayview is beautiful inside and out, a young girl who likes to watch you carefully to better understand you. She is a gorgeous torbie tabby (brown & cream & white) shorthair with golden eyes, 1 year of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Bayview needed us when her previous owners moved and opted not to take her. She gets along well with other cats and relishes chasing the laser light.

Kandi is an adorable little bundle of dynamite, a spunky baby girl with no shortage of energy and playfulness.  Kandi is an 8-month-old kitten with stunning tortoiseshell coloring and a cream nose blaze, spayed, good with other cats, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Kandi was rescued from the mean streets.  Please be committed to keeping her strictly indoors, safe and secure, as a cherished member of the family.

After being abandoned, Corky pleaded for food from house to house throughout his neighborhood, relying on the kindness of strangers to stay alive.   Now, this handsome, distinguished boy is safe with us and never having to worry whether he will miss a meal.  Pet'ographique captured his sweet spirit wonderfully in this brand new portrait.    Corky is neutered, about 8 years of age, great with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Update: These babies are now in a loving foster home receiving care. Urgent request for help!  These four kittens need a foster home today.  They are just four weeks of age and still need bottle-feeding.  If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA before 4pm and ask for Janean.  These sweet babies were rescued from a cardboard box by an apartment complex dumpster, and believe it or not, the person who dumped them had written a sign on the box saying "God Bless".  Most fortunately, a compassionate person heard their cries before the trash truck arrived.

Omar Shariff had been abandoned at the airport parking lot.  He was so hungry and scared that he crawled right into the car of a Nevada SPCA volunteer with just a bit of coaxing.  He has been fattening up in a loving foster home and becoming socialized with other friendly cats.  Omar Shariff is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is a sleek shorthair, neutered boy, 4 years of age.  Please be sure to ask for him by name.
