Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Zeke is a warm-hearted baby boy who likes cuddling just as much as playing. He is reportedly a blend of Dachshund & Bully with helicopter ears, just 6 months of age, good with other dogs, crate-trained, and now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Zeke's previous owners surrendered him for being "bad" (too puppy-like). He needs a responsible owner who understands that being playful and inquisitive is absolutely natural and vital to his physical and emotional development.

Charlie Zeke Belle Belle , Charlie , and Zeke are 3 of the 45 rescued kittens ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA! In addition, there are more than 100 sweet adult cats who would love to bless you too with their unconditional devotion for life. Belle , a tortoiseshell kitten with extra toes (polydactyly), 3 months of age, likes for her dangling fishing pole-like toys and she is compatible with cats and dogs. Charlie , blue-grey & white kitten, 3 months of age, is an outgoing baby boy who enjoys meeting people and socializing with other cats. Zeke , a marbled tabby kitten, 4 months of age, delights in sitting in your lap and cuddling with other cats and kittens.

Zeke , a junior puppy with lighthearted charm, comically sees everything as an invitation for more playtime. He adores people and dogs, and he wants everyone around him to be happy too.   Zeke is a good-looking German Shepherd, 11 months of age, neutered boy, housetrained & crate-trained, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He was at another shelter that asked for our help. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.

Zeke , 4, becomes a bit more puppy-like and jovial each day, which is beautiful to witness as he reaches his loving potential. At the time of rescue his underbelly was so painfully matted he yelped if your hands got close to the knots. Now, the mats are gone, but he remembers how much it used to hurt and prefers not having his stomach touched. Zeke is a chipper boy, a blend of many attractive breeds (likely Akita, Aussie, Shepherd, more), 4 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.   He accepts some dogs, but he is very picky about which dogs he likes and so a one-dog household may be ideal for Zeke .

Zeke is 6 years of age, but acts more like a puppy, with admirable enthusiasm and a wonderfully friendly personality.  He is a handsome Doberman Pinscher, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Zeke was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his maimed right ear (cause of injury unknown).  He is healing steadily with stitches, but his ear shape is forever changed (forked/split in two) and so please take precautions in your home and yard to keep objects from snagging and re-injuring his ear.  We hope you come meet Zeke and spend time with him in the courtyard.

We rescued Zeke from another shelter that said he had been abandoned so many times that he developed severe separation anxiety.  He reportedly panics that every departure is a final goodbye and cannot understand why the people he loves unconditionally keep rejecting him.  Zeke is good with other dogs and housetrained.  He is a cream & white Terrier & Toy mix, 5 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  While there are no instant fixes for separation anxiety, a very steady lifestyle routine and crate-training are some of the steps that can lead to diminished anxiety and better peace-of-mind.  Please help find Zeke a hero.

Zeke, rescued from another shelter. Zeke, on the morning of his adoption debut. Zeke is a young sweetheart we rescued from another shelter.  Obviously from a loveless home, he is surprised that people actually care for him and want to pamper him.  Zeke is a cute blend of many small breeds, 2 years of age, a neutered boy, good with dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Special thanks to Kim, a dedicated volunteer, who arranged for his professional grooming yesterday.  Please help Zeke find a responsible, forever home where he will awaken to the joys of being treasured as a family member.

Cassie Zeke Zorro Cassie , Zeke , and Zorro are well-socialized and good-natured ferrets seeking a loving, forever home. Ferrets are social animals and since these three get along so beautifully together, we strongly prefer to adopt them as a trio for lifelong companionship. Cassie is a lovely sable, girl, about 2 years of age.  She enjoys chasing toy balls and climbing on your shoulders. Zeke is a cute albino, boy, about 2 years of age.  He likes sleeping under blankets and hiding in cardboard boxes. Zorro is a handsome sable, boy, about 5 years of age.  He is mellow and wise, and loves napping in his hammock. Ferret knowledge is needed for their adoption.  All three are spayed/neutered. Please help us find them a wonderful, responsible owner.

Update: Zeke was adopted on February 2nd! Zeke is an intelligent, noble boy with striking good looks. He is an Australian Cattle Dog, neutered, about 7 years of age, debuting today for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Zeke is well-behaved and knows several basic training commands.  He is reportedly housetrained too.  He is fine with most dogs, especially female dogs, but reportedly can get jealous of other dogs when he seeks attention for himself. He is smart and needs exercise for his brain as well as his body.   Please include him in daily activities, take him for walks, and engage him in playtime. We rescued Zeke from a government shelter that asked for our help because of being so full.  He was reportedly surrendered there when his owner moved and could not find housing that would include him.  (Please note though that many apartments and rental houses are now accepting medium size dogs like Zeke , and larger, because of the economic crisis).

Update: Zeke was adopted on February 27th! Zeke's merry personality is evident in his every smile. He is an exceptionally attractive youngster, a tri-color Smooth-Coated Collie, neutered male, 2 years of age. Besides enjoying other dogs, Zeke likes kind children (reportedly of all ages) and he is housetrained too. An intelligent boy, he needs both mental and physical exercise, so please set aside plenty of time for walks, playtime, and family activities. Zeke needed us due to his previous owner's financial collapse. Zeke debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Update: Zeke was adopted on January 9th! Zeke is a chipper, fun-loving puppy with a heart of gold. He is a Labrador Retriever mix, neutered male, about 7 months of age. Zeke is compatible with both cats and dogs, and though he has not been around children before, we believe he has the temperament to be good with kind, mature kids. He is also housetrained and quite well-behaved considering his youth. Zeke needed us because his owners moved and he did not get to go with them.
