Macy

Image
Macy , 10, a tiny angel, was found abandoned on a desert road with a softball-sized chest tumor.    Veterinarians were able to remove the growth and save her life.     Macy has healed well and she's now ready to bless someone wonderful with her love. Macy is a Yorkshire Terrier, good with other dogs, spayed, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .   A gentle, affectionate home is ideal for her.

Buttercup & Honeybee

Image
These baby boys melt hearts and love being spoiled.  Their foster family said the boys are perfectly aware of how cute they are and take as much advantage as they can with getting into mischief! Buttercup & Honeybee are brothers, bonded for life, Yorkshire & Silky Terrier mixes, 4 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today (Saturday) at 2pm at Nevada SPCA . The boys are compatible with other dogs, partially housetrained, and need your budgeting for regular professional grooming (approximately four times per year).  Due to the intensity of their bond, they need to be adopted together and remain together forever.  They were surrendered by their previous owner ("not enough time" for them).

Barbara & Reba

Image
Barbara & Reba , believed to be daughter and mother, are cheery and vibrant girls with a lifelong bond.  They are now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Reba is a Yorkshire Terrier. Her daughter's father is unknown. Barbara is 1 year of age and Reba is 5 years of age (and requires daily eye-drops for dry eye condition).  Please share to help find the girls a forever home and hero.

Louie

Image
Louie , a gentle sweetheart, loves hearing praise that you are happy with him.  He is an adorable Yorkshire Terrier, 4 years of age and neutered, good with dogs and mature kids, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Louie needed us due to his previous owners' medical hardship.

Calista

Image
Calista , a radiant junior puppy, craves attention and gives kisses to the people who shower her with praise. She is an adorable Yorkshire Terrier, 11 months of age, housetrained & crate-trained, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Calista was surrendered by her previous family for nipping/snapping/biting. We have not witnessed this behavior from her, but to err on the safe side for dog bite prevention, an experienced home is required for her please.

Princess

Image
Princess beams when you tell her she's a sweetheart.  She is a Yorkshire Terrier & Silky Terrier mix, 8 years of age and spayed, good with cats and dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Princess needed us when her previous owner went into hospice.

Paulie

Image
Paulie , a wonderful young boy, loves going to the park or resting at your side while you read a book. He is an adorable Yorkshire Terrier, 3 years of age, housetrained & crate-trained, neutered boy, good with dogs and older kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Paulie needed us when his previous owner moved into assisted living where dogs are not allowed.

Puchi

Image
Puchi wants to know who he is supposed to love.  He is a young and wonderfully sweet boy, a blend of Powder Puff, Silky Terrier, and Yorkshire Terrier, 1 year of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Puchi was surrendered by his previous owner due to financial hardship.

Keegan

Image
Keegan ("small flame") is a 4-pound youngster with enormous loving potential.    He is a Longhair Chihuahua & Yorkshire Terrier mix, neutered boy, 1 year of age, good with dogs, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Keegan was at another shelter that asked for our help. He reportedly came from a dreadful home where he was crated in solitary for up to 15 hours daily. Understandably, he fears crates and cries when he sees them.    Worse, he is head-shy and can get nippy when he thinks people are going to hit him. A gentle home with kind guidance and a very steady lifestyle routine will do wonders for him. We also believe Keegan may adjust best with a big sister or brother dog for comfort and companionship. Please help find a hero for this tiny boy.

Bambi & Roxy

Image
Bambi & Roxy , believed to be daughter & mother, are bashful and best suited for a gentle home.  Both are housetrained, crate-trained, and good with other dogs.  Roxy , a Yorkshire Terrier, is 7 years of age and spayed. Her daughter, Bambi , a Yorkshire Terrier mix, is 5 years of age and spayed.  The girls needed us due to their previous owner's financial hardship.  Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Bambi & Roxy by name.

Rico & Cici, soul-mates.

Image
Rico & Cici , a tiny pair of soul-mates, stayed strong for each other through a divorce and very hard times of financial woes.  Now homeless and having lost everything, at least they are safe and still have each other, forever.  Please help us find a hero for Rico & Cici .  They are very gentle, 9 -10 years of age, housetrained & crate-trained, compatible with cats and dogs.  Rico , a neutered boy, Longhair Chihuahua, is more outgoing.  Cici , a spayed girl, Yorkshire Terrier, has lost her teeth and she likes for Rico to lead the way for her.

Can we share our happiness with you?

Remi & Sprocket are a gleeful, adorable pair debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Remi is a Cairn Terrier, about 3 years young.  Sprocket is a Yorkshire Terrier, about 7 years of age.  Both boys are neutered, good with other dogs and reportedly crate-trained.  Remi & Sprocket are very strongly bonded and need to remain together forever.  They needed us because a child in their previous home was allergic to them.  Please ask for Remi & Sprocket by name when you visit.

Diamond, a Yorkshire Terrier who deserves to be treasured.

Image
Diamond is a precious gem, now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is a Yorkshire Terrier, about 7 years of age, neutered, and great with other friendly dogs.  Diamond was found in Henderson a few miles south of The Strip on Las Vegas Boulevard in neglected, matted condition.  We traced his microchip ID to a previous owner, but she said she had given him away five years ago and had no further interest in him.  Diamond is now cleaned and groomed and ready for a fresh start with a responsible, stable person (or couple) who will cherish him as a valued member of their forever home.

Asia, a delightful Yorkshire Terrier puppy for adoption.

Image
Asia is a delightful Yorkshire Terrier puppy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is about 11 months of age, a spayed girl, and good with other sweet dogs.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming. We rescued Asia from another shelter because she was timid there and diagnosed with a low-grade heart murmur.  Regarding the latter, medications are not needed at this time, just an easy-going lifestyle, but have your veterinarian monitor her heart murmur in the years to come for any changes and guidance.

Maxwell, a super cute young Yorkshire Terrier debuting for adoption.

Image
Maxwell is an adorable young angel who needs a loving, forever home.  He is a Yorkshire Terrier, 1 year of age, neutered boy, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Maxwell needs regular professional grooming and an experienced owner.  He lost his previous home reportedly due to being "toy aggressive" -- becoming nippy with other dogs around toys.  This behavior can be diminished with reasonable steps, including careful monitoring of play-time that involves toys, but takes time and patience.  Maxwell adores people and needs kind guidance to reach his full loving potential.

Atlas, an enthusiastic Yorkshire Terrier for adoption.

Image
Atlas is a sweet little ball of dynamite, all wiggly and excitable and full of joy.  He is a beaming Yorkshire Terrier, about 9 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Atlas from another shelter because he needed dental care (which we provided for him).  He is good with other friendly dogs and needs regular professional grooming.

I loved them unconditionally, but they decided I could just be someone else's "problem"?

Image
Cody was at another shelter where he did not qualify for adoption because of blindness and bad teeth.  (His previous owners had dropped him off there when they moved away.) He is a very gentle, affable little guy, a Yorkshire Terrier, about 6 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Cody gets along well with other dogs and seems to adapt very quickly to new spaces, learning the lay-outs of the areas around him. We had dental cleaning done for Cody and he's now ready to find a loving, forever home. Please help us find Cody a hero so he is never failed again.

Why wouldn't they let me indoors?

Image
Dozy's eyes are captivating and this young girl has stolen our hearts. We cannot understand why her previous owner was making her live outdoors, day and night, rather than indoors as a cherished member of the family. Dozy is a beautiful Yorkshire Terrier mix, about 3 years young, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Dozy is loving and friendly and compatible with other dogs.  Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming for her.

Peep, a divine puppy who made an inspirational recovery.

Image
Peep is an entertaining, divine baby girl who loves to stare into your eyes.  She is a playful Shih-Tzu & Yorkshire Terrier mix puppy, 5 months of age, spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Peep had severe and painful facial lesions from "puppy strangles" (juvenile cellulitis).  Following 6 weeks of treatment, she made a full recovery!  We celebrated her triumph with this gorgeous portrait, courtesy of Pet'ographique .  Peep is now ready to share her unconditional love and devotion with you for the rest of her life.

A most beautiful Flower!

Image
Flower is a festive, precious youngster debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Flower is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, 3 years of age, spayed, housetrained, crate-trained, good with other dogs, and she needs regular professional grooming care. Flower lost her home because her previous owner said she had "too many dogs".
