Thank you Angel & Dan, Lizzy's new parents, for sharing these pictures and details: "We have been calling her Littles - because she's just so darn tiny - and she has settled right in with her new family! She's very sweet, loves her fur-brothers and sisters and wants nothing more than to be on your lap or sleeping under the covers with us. She loves her belly rubbed for sure! We just wanted you to know that this little girl is happy and we are lucky to have her in our lives!"

People keep telling us he's lucky to have us, but we are the lucky ones to have him."

Wonderful adoption update on Otto (now Finnegan)!

Image
Thank you to Susan, Otto's mom, for these pictures and his story: "We had to put down our last boxer at 11 years old in June. The pain we felt in our hearts was immeasurable and with that we vowed - NO more dogs. Fast forward to November when we decided to just come look at Otto, now renamed Finnegan, Finn for short. He has moved right in and taken over our hearts. He loves blankets, car rides, going for walks, and his ice cream cone. Thank you for all the work you do and thank you for giving us the chance to love another boxer again. He has found his forever home!"

Great adoption update on Peggy (now Cutie)!

Thank you to Nicole, Peggy's new mom, for this collage and praise for her: "On May 23, 2016, my boyfriend and I adopted Peggy, now known as Cutie. She quickly became family. She has the best personality, she's a comedian. I have shared her story where I work and she has a small fan club. I love her and she has bonded with me. She cries when she sees me when I first get home from work. She puts her ears back in a sweet nature and smiles. She's a great girl, she's very devoted. She's so loved!"

Jasper and Baxter Thank you to Linda & Ray, Jasper's parents, for sharing in order to encourage others to consider adoption of rescued animals. "We adopted Jasper from Nevada SPCA in July of 2013. After losing our dog after 16 years, we tell everyone that Jasper rescued us! Here he is three-and-a-half years later at 11 years of age. Healthy, happy, and loved! All he needed was to be loved and spoiled." Second picture: Jasper with Baxter , his adopted brother.

Terrific update on Louis (cat) and Scarlet (dog, now named Bagels)!

Image
Louis and Bagels Louis Bagels Nikki, Amber and Bagels Thank you very much to Nikki and Amber for sharing their happiness in their forever home. Both Louis and Scarlet were adopted from Nevada SPCA. "Our cat, Louis, adopted 2 years ago, is the light of my life. King of the house. He is fearless and sometimes thinks he is a dog. He shakes his tail, runs up to anyone who comes into the house, and talks chatter with you all day. He is the best." "Bagels, adopted 2 months ago, loves to go out to Red Rock and stomp through the creeks. She is so loving and has brought so much joy to my wife and I. Her and Louis have also become best friends."

Wonderful update on Fred & George!

Image
Fred George Wonderful update on Fred & George ! These brothers were just 3 weeks of age back in June when discovered in a grocery store parking lot. A person putting a shopping cart in an outside cart-stacking area heard pitiful cries coming from a cardboard box. Since then the boys have been lovingly raised and socialized in foster care with cats, dogs, and kids. Both are affectionate and like curling up at your side for naps and cuddles. Fred & George are now 3 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for their safety.

Wonderful update on Charlotte, now named Reese!

Image
Charlotte at Nevada SPCA, September, 2015. You may recall Charlotte , a rescued puppy from earlier this autumn.  Her family updated us with these three great pictures of her enjoying her new life. Charlotte is now named Reese .  Her mom, Virginia, says she adores her children and adds: "She is amazing!  She's smart, sweet, and settling in very well.  Has gained 10 lbs, is learning to walk on a leash, making doggie friends at the park, and now knows a few basic commands.  Still timid in new situations, but gaining confidence every day."

Inspiring update on 15-year-old Petey who was adopted last week!

Image
Petey's hero and new dad, Mike, says Petey adapted to his new home and canine siblings quickly.  He follows Mike around the house and especially notices when he goes to the kitchen.  Mike says Petey's energy levels are great for his age and he enjoys daily walks.  We rescued Petey from another shelter last month and couldn't be happier for him!
