Winston , 18, was found crying for help in a family's yard, apparently just abandoned there and extremely distressed.  He loves soft voices, gentle touching, and cuddly arms.  Winston is neutered and good with other cats. Please help find him a hero! He is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Winston's favorite things include playing with other dogs and enjoying carrots and other veggies for snacks.  He is an adorable Maltese, 6 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Winston is good with cats too.  He needed us when his previous owner passed away.

Winston is tiny (6 pounds), but he has firm and strong resolve to never let anyone hurt him ever again. He may put up a gruff and grumpy demeanor to hide his fear, but it's a pleading demand to spare him further pain. Winston accepts kindness from people he trusts. He wants to love and be accepted. He has enormous potential and will continue improving in a very experienced, adult-only home. Winston is a Chihuahua, 8 years of age, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He may adjust best in a home with a sister or brother dog.   We rescued him from another shelter.

Winston will melt in your arms once he realizes you offer him peace and protection. He is only 1 year of age, but the scars on his face, neck, and body (some bite wounds, some from unknown tearing & trauma) make clear he has already endured terrible cruelty. We rescued him from another shelter and his background is otherwise a mystery.

Winston is an earnest junior puppy who cannot comprehend why the world has been so cruel.  But every day the more silly and fun side of his personality is emerging and we are so proud of his progress.  Winston was found abandoned in front of a large pet food store in Las Vegas, perilously ill with parvo virus.  We had emergency veterinary care provided for him (thanks to generous donors to our advanced care fund) and Winston has now made a full recovery!  He is a cream & white Chihuahua, 11 months of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.

Update: Winston was adopted on October 20th! Winston needed us because a small child in his previous home was tormenting him. But he still adores people and he is especially enthusiastic about playing with his toys. Winston is a very attractive Lhasa Apso, neutered male, approximately 2 years young. He is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and good with other sweet dogs. Please budget extra for periodic professional grooming care (at least quarterly).  Please also have your veterinarian monitor his ears, as he has had recurring ear infections. Please ask for Winston by name when you visit.  He is ready for adoption and seeks a committed, gentle, lifelong home.
