Vivian , a delightful girl with a beautiful spirit, needs someone to love dearly.  She is a Havanese & Lhasa Apso mix, 7 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with cats & dogs & kids, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Vivian needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Vivian , a sporty young sweetheart, is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a Jack Russell Terrier & Mini Bully mix, 1 year of age and spayed, and great with other dogs.  Vivian was at another shelter that asked for our help because she is shy. Our experience though is that she quickly warms to people and becomes ready for adventure.  Please visit and ask for Vivian by name.

In mid-August, Vivian was pregnant and abandoned.  A volunteer found her tied to a tree without food, water, or a blanket.  We put out an immediate plea on social media for a foster hero, and thanks to you sharing her post, it succeeded.  Vivian was in labor as the foster parent arrived and over the following hours gave birth to 6 babies.  Since then Vivian has raised her puppies in a loving home environment.  She is now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org).  (Her puppies will be ready in the days/weeks to come.)  Vivian is an endearing, friendly small Bully mix, 2 years of age.  Please help her find a responsible home so that she never has to experience rejection and abandonment again.

A bite of melon is just dandy with Vivian and she eats it delightedly. Vivian is an adorable young sugar glider debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is approximately one year of age.  She needed us because her previous owner could no longer care for her. Sugar gliders are marsupials.  They are nocturnal animals who play at night and sleep during the day.  They love their comfortable pouches, which keep them out of sunlight and help them feel safe.  A vertical cage with a nesting box so she can climb is very important (while aquarium-type habitats are not acceptable). Vivian needs an experienced owner who is knowledgeable about her species.  A fresh fruit diet is essential for her health and there are specific woods it is acceptable for her to chew on.  Sugar gliders in captivity reportedly can live 10-15 years. Update: Vivian was adopted on August 19th! Vivian is a precious little girl - a Toy & Terrier mix puppy of just 7 months, with the cutest front-folding peach ears. She needed us for rescue when her owners abandoned her at a dog park. Sadly, we hear an increasing number of accounts of this occurring (abandonment at dog parks), and it exhibits such reckless disregard for the dogs. Vivian is a bit tentative, particularly with new people and in new situations. But she has a good spring in her step and she has great warmth and love for those who she knows and trusts.
