Truman needs a hero.

Image
Truman is a majestic and affectionate boy who needs a loving home. He needed us when his previous owner passed away. Truman loves chin scratches and bonding with children, dogs, and adults. He is 5 years of age, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Truman has FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and needs a hero. Thank you to the Mizzou Alumni Association's Las Vegas Chapter for supporting Truman and animal rescue!

Truman and other rescued kittens need foster homes please.

Truman , just 8 weeks of age, was found roaming on the side of a road, alone, with his mom nowhere in sight. Truman and 6 other rescued motherless kittens need foster homes today. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Lauren. Truman likes being held and adored. He is not afraid of people or cats. His foster commitment needs to be for approximately 6 weeks please.

Truman , 10, wise and noble and confident, asks for someone who will appreciate him and treasure him daily.  He is a chocolate/seal point Siamese, neutered boy, good with cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Truman enjoys sleeping on the bed on or beside your feet.  He was surrendered to us by previous owners who said they had "no time" for him.

Truman , now healed and no longer in severe pain, is turning into quite the loverboy and enjoys building relationships with people.    He is a handsome young tabby with expressive eyes, 3 years of age and neutered, previously declawed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    Truman is good with kids. He gets agitated by other cats and needs a one-cat household please. An extra note which is important in telling Truman's story: Truman's painful condition was reportedly unnecessary. His veterinarian directed Truman's previous owners to stop feeding him raw meat and stop denying him fresh water. (Their theory was reportedly that he received enough moisture from the raw meat and did not need fresh water, despite the veterinarian's strong objections.) Truman eventually developed bladder crystals and was surrendered to the veterinarian, who in turn treated and saved him, and then asked for our help to find him a responsible home. Truman is ...

I am super lovable.

Update: Truman was adopted on August 14th! Truman is a very friendly and sweet little boy who enjoys your attention. He loves to be reassured that you care for and appreciate him. Truman tolerates being held, but usually only for short periods. Truman is a handsome Holland Mini Lop bunny, approximately 3 years of age. He is neutered and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Truman from another shelter. He had been surrendered there by his owners who were moving away without him. Truman and 70 other spayed/neutered rabbits are available for adoption today. Also, if you are new to bunny care, please visit and we will give you starter information to help you consider and determine whether adoption will be a good fit for you and your family. We hope to see you soon.

Our love lasts forever so we need lifelong homes.

Update: Daphne & Truman were adopted on July 11th! Daphne and Truman are sister and brother, completely adorable, and definitely little treasures. Their mother, who we named Shayla after her rescue, was thrown out like trash though, along with a staggering 63 other cats! They were found filthy and distressed, crammed into boxes and trash containers and crates without food or water, much less hope. Most were very ill, and the adult females were pregnant, and the assumption was that the previous owner was a hoarder or collector, and most likely mentally unstable. Shayla was both very ill and very pregnant. She went to an excellent foster home for tender care and gave birth one day later to five kittens. She was a good mother and worked hard for her babies, but only Daphne and Truman survived. Daphne and Truman have been raised and socialized very well in the foster home. They are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption. They are affectionate and friendly. T...
