Travis

Image
A man spotted Travis panting under a scrawny bush in the desert trying to get some shelter from the 110-degree heat. He knew Travis would perish if he failed to help him immediately. We traced his microchip ID, but he was refused by his previous owners (who said they did not know how he ended up abandoned in the desert). Travis deserves so much better. He is a playful, very good-natured youngster, a Labrador Retriever mix, 2 years of age, neutered, and good with other large dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We believe Travis has the temperament to be exceptional with kids. He enjoys fetching toys and shows signs of housetraining.

Foster heroes needed, please!

For fragile, motherless newborns, like Travis , a foster hero is the surrogate parent he needs to survive. Babies without moms are being found throughout the community, especially this time of year, and we ask for your help in finding foster parents who can provide nurturing care and socialization until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered and adopted. Travis and his four siblings were found in urgent need in someone's storage unit.  They are just days old and need bottle-feeding every few hours. If you can foster, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Katelyn. If you cannot foster but would like to help: Donate Wish List   Thank you very much!

Let me become your loyal boy for life.

Travis is a remarkably cute boy with magical eyes and he is debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He has the body of a Smooth Fox Terrier and the face of a Jack Russell Terrier.  Travis is about 6 years of age and neutered.  He adores people and bounces with high jumps straight up in the air when he's excited.  Travis is recovering from emaciation/starvation and another shelter asked for our help.  Food is of utmost seriousness to him, so he cannot be fed around other dogs.  Travis is gaining energy and weight well, and his zest for life is emerging beautifully.

If I give you all of my unconditional love, will you keep me safe?

Some of us think Travis has cartoon-cute eyes.  While others of us believe his eyes reflect the hardships this youngster has already endured.  At the time of rescue Travis was at another shelter, emaciated from starvation and suffering from a broken tooth.  We had his tooth removed and he is slowly, steadily regaining weight and energy.  Travis is a very affectionate Miniature Pinscher, 1 year of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Travis adores people and gets along well with other dogs.  Please ask for him by name when you visit.
