Jenna

Image
Jenna , a precious baby girl, saved from peril and now healed, triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA and she is ready to bless the world with her love. Jenna is an affectionate puppy, a Toy Fox Terrier & Chihuahua mix, 5 months of age and now spayed. At the time of rescue she was suffering from the life-threatening parvo virus. We rushed Jenna into emergency care at an animal hospital. Thanks to very generous donors, we were able to have extensive treatment provided for her and veterinarians succeeded in saving Jenna's life.

Annie

Annie is a petite young girl with a broken heart. (Her previous owner went into hospice.) She is a Toy Fox Terrier, 1 year of age and spayed, housetrained, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Annie craves being held and comforted.

Snickers & Cupcake

Image
Several weeks ago Snickers & Cupcake walked up to a nice couple pleading for help. They were on the streets and Cupcake was emaciated from starvation (with her ribs, spine and other bones clearly visible under her skin). Neither had any sign of responsible ownership. Physically and emotionally, these soul-mates are thriving. They remain shy, but now enjoy people handling them and caring for them. Cupcake's energy level has doubled and she has gained weight (from 3.2 pounds to 4.8 pounds) and improved posture. Snickers is a red-blond Chihuahua, 7 years of age, a boy (now neutered). Cupcake is a Toy Fox Terrier, 4 years of age, a girl (now spayed).    They are bonded for life, together forever, good with other sweet dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Angelica

Image
Angelica's special needs in no way diminish the love she is offering to the hero who adopts her.  She is a Toy Fox Terrier, 1 year of age, compatible with other small dogs.  Whether the result of birth defect or early life trauma, Angelica's neurological system is unique and she is partially blind and unable to walk in a straight line.  She calms when you cradle her and enjoys playing with toys that make crunchy sounds when she chews on them.  Angelica can walk in circular motions and quickly learns new rooms and adjusts to them well.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for showcasing Angelica so beautifully in these portraits.  Please ask for DJ when you visit Nevada SPCA for special assistance with Angelica .

My previous dad is protecting our country.

Update: Tyson was adopted on January 7th! Tyson needed us when his previous owner was deployed overseas by the military for an extended stay. Tyson is a handsome Toy Fox Terrier, neutered boy, about 4 years of age.  He debuts for adoption today. Besides getting along well with dogs, he is reportedly compatible with cats.  He is crate-trained, but is still working on housetraining and sometimes has accidents indoors.  (The foundation to housetraining is generally a steady lifestyle routine with plenty of opportunities to go outdoors.) Tyson's favorite toy is shaped like an octopus and he is spunky and outgoing.

I am ready to bring more sunshine your way!

What a lovebug! Dolly's sunny personality is lovely and charming and refreshing. She has so much to share. Dolly is a Toy Fox Terrier, spayed female, 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Bright-eyed and well-behaved, she is housetrained, crate-trained, and good with cats and dogs and kind children. Dolly needed us when her previous owner moved out-of-state without her.

I am ready to become your lovebug for life.

Update: Thaddeus was adopted on September 19th! Adorable as can be, Thaddeus charms you with his expressive face and playful, loving temperament. He is one-of-a-kind, blessed in this way like all mixed breeds are with a unique appearance. Our best guess is that he has some Toy Fox Terrier mixed in. Thaddeus is neutered and about a year of age. He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is compatible with many dogs, but picky with which dogs he likes and accepts. Please be sure to bring your dog to meet him in our courtyard to ensure he gets along with the whole family. We rescued Thaddeus from another shelter. He had reportedly been thrown out and captured in the streets where he had no chance for survival on his own.
