Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Prima Donna , 10, a regal girl with a down-to-earth personality, enjoys snuggling with you on the couch.  She needed us when her previous owner passed away and she longs for reassurance.  Prima Donna is a tortoiseshell shorthair with intriguing eyes and she is good with other cats, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Camille is a gorgeous lady with a polite manner.  She liked cuddling at night with cats and dogs in her pet bed.  Camille needed us when her previous owner passed away.  She is a medium-hair tortoiseshell, 6 years of age and spayed, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Turquoise , a bashful junior kitten, sneaks closer and closer when you sing softly to her. She is mesmerized by soothing voices.  Turquoise is a beautiful spirit, 9 months of age with medium-length tortoiseshell coloring and wondrous eyes, good with other cats, and now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Once at ease in your home, she likes chasing laser pointers and scampering after ping pong balls.  She needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Molly likes tucking her head under your arm and falling asleep.    She cherishes serene moments with you. Molly is a beautiful tortoiseshell shorthair, 8 years of age and spayed, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .   She needed us due to her previous owner's financial hardship.

Flower , a junior kitten 10 months of age, wasn't thrilled about getting her picture taken this morning, but you can still see she is a lovely girl.    She is a medium-hair tortoiseshell feline, good with other cats, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . At the time of rescue Flower was found seeking safety and food in a family's garage. Flower relishes chin scratches, catnip-laced toys, and scratching posts.

Melody loves people-watching. We often find her comfortably perched on ledges so she can easily watch everyone.  When people aren't around, she moves to the windows and looks for birds and other visitors.  Melody is a beautiful soul, a medium-hair tortoiseshell, 6 years of age and spayed, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Albert Beatrice Camilla Albert and his sisters, Beatrice and Camilla , love to cuddle and build relationships with people. Since their rescue ("unwanted" and abandoned), they have been nurtured and socialized in a wonderful foster home with dogs. The babies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Albert is the most inquisitive, Beatrice likes purring next to people's ears, and Camilla enjoys playing with dogs.

Norma , 1 year young, sassy and full of personality, is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is used to living with cats, dogs, and kids.  Norma chirps to get people's attention and affection.  She needed us when her previous owner passed away.

Fancy , a beautiful soul, is a graceful girl who bonds well with people and cats.  When not socializing, she likes to explore rooms and find interesting new places for her naps.  Fancy is a medium-hair with lovely tortoiseshell coloring, 4 years of age and spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She needed us when her previous owner passed away.

Candie , 9, offers very gentle and powerful unconditional devotion.  She treasures the quiet and peaceful moments with you.  Candie is a gorgeous tortoiseshell shorthair, a spayed girl, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA in the Treehouse Playroom.  She needed us when her previous owner became too ill to care for her.

Caicos Callie Caicos & Callie are daughter and mother, 2 and 4 years of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue both Caicos & Callie had newborn kittens and all had been abandoned at a veterinary hospital.  We placed the moms and babies in a wonderful foster home for nurturing care.  Caicos and Callie stayed with their babies until they were weaned.  (Their kittens remain in foster care until they are old enough to be spayed and neutered.)  Both Caicos and Callie are good with other cats and enjoy chasing laser pointers, sitting in laps, and playing with the spinner toy.  Please visit and ask for them by name.

Lily cannot see you, but she responds to your touch and melts in your arms when you talk to her reassuringly.  She is a lovely shorthair with tortoiseshell coloring, about 4 years of age and spayed, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Lily's eyes were not fully formed (birth defect), so she is mostly blind.  She learns rooms quickly.  At the time of rescue her previous owners were attempting to have her destroyed and cited her eyes as the reason.  Lily has tremendous devotion to share.  Please help find her a hero.

Sassy is a 14-year-old angel who needed us when her previous owner passed away and she had nowhere to go.  She is an elegant, mellow senior, a medium-hair tortoiseshell, spayed girl, who loves to snuggle.  Sassy is very enthusiastic for her wet food (canned cat food) and jumps in your lap to be brushed and spoken to gently.  She gets along well with other cats too.  Please help us find a hero for Sassy .  She debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Kandi is an adorable little bundle of dynamite, a spunky baby girl with no shortage of energy and playfulness.  Kandi is an 8-month-old kitten with stunning tortoiseshell coloring and a cream nose blaze, spayed, good with other cats, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Kandi was rescued from the mean streets.  Please be committed to keeping her strictly indoors, safe and secure, as a cherished member of the family.

Dollar would love to be your gentle "lap cat".  Her mousy good looks are matched by her exceptionally sweet temperament.  Dollar is a Tortoiseshell, just one year of age, spayed girl, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Rescued from a yard sale box with her three kittens ( Penny , Nickle , and Dime , who will be ready for adoption in the weeks to come once spayed/neutered too), Dollar offer priceless, unconditional devotion to the person who adopts her and makes a lifetime commitment to her care.

Kanga is a playful young girl with enormous beauty and loving potential. We have been watching her build self-esteem and become more outgoing and engaging with people.  This progress needs to continue in a new, forever home. Kanga is a Tortoiseshell, spayed, 3 years of age, fine with respectful cats, but terrified of dogs.  She is independent, while also being sweet and enjoying calm attention from people. Ivy's tipped right ear is the result of a local trap & release program for feral cats.  (Ears are tipped to indicate which of the feral cats have been spayed/neutered.) But this little beauty was still a kitten and so we agreed to take her and place her in a loving foster home to be socialized so that she could one day be adopted into a caring, forever home. Ivy's foster mom worked with her diligently for many months and succeeded in domesticating her. Ivy is a Tortoiseshell, now about 2 years of age and very sweet with soft-spoken people.  She enjoys perching as high as she can on tall cat tree furniture, independently away from the other cats. One of the greatest benefits of the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms, besides giving cats freedom and less stress, is that they get a say in who they interact with. Some cats will run to certain people, choosing them. Anna Lisa lights up when she sees children.  During recent tours of the Cat Condos by schoolchildren, she rubbed her back on their legs and gave them lick kisses on their hands and faces. Anna Lisa is a beautiful Tortoiseshell with light green eyes, spayed girl, about 3 years young. At the time of rescue she was huddled under a trailer, terrified.  She has now become a confident, majestic girl. Please visit and ask for Anna Lisa by name.

Update: Lala was adopted on November 20th! Lala is a beautiful young "wiggleworm" who rolls on her back and purrs into your arms as she melts into your petting. She is a very social girl and would love a forever home where she can soak up loving adoration daily. Lala is spayed, just a year of age or so, and she has enchanting tortoiseshell coloring.  She is now ready for adoption and she anxiously awaits her knight in shining armor. We rescued Lala off the streets.  She was found roaming on the side of a very busy thorough-fare, terrified, close to The Las Vegas Strip. The dangers outdoors are a thing of her past.  This angel is content now to live strictly indoors for her safety and protection. Update: Shady Lady was adopted on November 3rd! Shady Lady , a gorgeous girl in appearance and spirit, found herself a pawn in a troubled marriage. She was reportedly rejected by a jealous husband who feared his wife loved Shady Lady so much that it was "interfering" with their relationship. These innocent angels just want to be part of families, safe and cherished, but they usually lose their homes and lives due to dynamics in human relationships they cannot understand or control. Indeed, there is much to love about Shady Lady . She is a kind, gentle youngster with a curious nature. She is a Tortoiseshell, spayed, about 2 years of age, and ready to meet you today in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms, one of 200 rescued cats awaiting new forever homes.
