Toby , a delightful junior puppy, hopes you love tons of puppy kisses!  He is a Toy Fox Terrier & Chihuahua, 8 months of age, neutered boy, housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Toby was surrendered by his previous owners due to their hardship.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.

Toby's favorite things include snuggling with dogs, playing with cats, and drinking running water he hears coming out of faucets. You may remember Toby from earlier this year. A man stopped a group of children from stoning him to death. ( Toby's injuries and broken sternum have healed.) Toby has been lovingly nurtured and socialized in a foster home since his rescue. He is now 4 months of age, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Toby was born with recessed, small eyes and he only has nominal vision. But his foster parents said he seemed to see better at night.    Please very thoroughly kitten-proof your home for Toby's safety.

Toby , an affectionate baby boy with eye birth defects, was saved from an attempted stoning death. He needs a loving foster home for approximately 1 month for continued healing and socialization. If you can help this 3-month-old sweetheart as a foster parent, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Lauren. *** Sensitive Reader Caution *** Toby was severely injured by a group of children in late January. A man resting on his porch noticed the kids were throwing rocks at something and he became concerned. The kids scattered when he approached and he rushed the kitten to Nevada SPCA . Toby's sternum was broken and his ribs were painfully bruised. Due to a birth defect, Toby's eyes are very small and recessed, giving him only nominal vision, so very careful kitten-proofing of your home is essential to his safety. Toby carefully assesses new people, hoping they will like him. Then he becomes a happy boy, trotting with a wagging tail as he walks at your side and smiles. Toby is enthusiastic about joining you for a lifetime of adventures and smiles.  He is an athletic youngster, very attractive blend of Retriever & Shepherd, 2 years of age and neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Toby enjoys other large and good-natured dogs and he is crate-trained.  He needs help with not being mouthy during playtime (putting your hand in his mouth) and taking treats from your hands gently. We strongly prefer finding him an owner who has experience and skills with dog training so he can reach his full loving potential.

Jericho Penn Porgy Sylvia Toby Ty We rescued these six Chihuahuas yesterday from another shelter. This is the most difficult time of year for animals (fireworks, extreme heat, motherless newborns, pregnant animals, vacations, more), so the shelters and rescue organizations are in overdrive helping each other.  Jericho , Penn , Porgy , Sylvia , Toby , and Ty have widely varying personalities, but all have loving natures and long for the stability of a responsible forever home. Sebastian Sebastian Sebastian Toby Sebastian is a luminous baby boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is a Shepherd mix, perhaps with Border Collie, about 4 months of age and now neutered. At the time of rescue, found on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership, Sebastian was so traumatized he didn't want anyone to touch him. Toby , a large and benevolent senior Retriever mix ( also available for adoption ), became Sebastian's mentor and kennel-mate, putting him at ease and letting him know that he is safe. Please consider adopting Toby with Sebastian or have a dog who can be a big sister or brother for Sebastian to help him continue improving.

Toby has healed wonderfully and he's making strong progress emotionally too, so we're very proud of this valiant young boy.  Toby is an African Spurred Tortoise, a teenager with a human-like lifespan, triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Toby's front right arm was deadened from being tangled in a mesh band (from sod grass), which acted like a rubber-band in cutting off circulation to his arm.  Thanks to loving foster care, Toby recovered well from the amputation and has learned to not just walk, but even run!, using his new epoxy resin stilt.  We discovered he likes sitting beside cats too for companionship.  Toby is expected to grow in the years to come to well more than 100 pounds.  Please help us find a knowledgeable, committed home where Toby can spend decades being a valued member of the family.

Kenny Toby   Kenny and Toby are adorable baby boys, brothers, with flashy and playful personalities. But trusting people does not come easy for these puppies.  They made progress in a loving foster home, and this progress needs to continue in loving, forever homes with experienced owners.  Kenny , in particular, can get nippy with anxious or fearful, so he requires an adult-only home where this behavior can be curbed immediately. Kenny and Toby were born to Harmony , a pretty and sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix who was homeless.  We have since spayed and adopted Harmony .  (Her portrait is below.)  Kenny and Toby are now neutered, 4 months of age, and we expect them to remain small in size like their mom. Update: Toby was adopted on December 28th! Please remember your companion animals when you make your estate and long-term plans to ensure they will be safe and cared for in the event something happens to you. When Toby's previous owner was put in a nursing home, he had nowhere to go.  One of the deceased's relatives brought him to us because she said she only wanted to love one animal at a time (and she already had a pet). Come meet this sweetheart and prepare to be charmed.  He is such an endearing, unassuming boy, easy to fall in love with. Toby is a cute Chihuahua mix, neutered, approximately 2 years young.  Besides being compatible with other friendly dogs, he is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door). Update: Toby was adopted on June 26th! Toby is a peppy youngster, full of great charm. He is a Toy & Terrier mix, neutered male, just a year of age (and still very puppy-like). Toby was transferred to us from another rescue group. Since he was in a foster home there, we know a lot about his temperament. Besides being good with dogs, he is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and compatible with cats and kind children. Please budget extra for regular grooming care. Update: Toby was adopted on December 12th! Cute, yet bashful, Toby is ready to love and entertain you with a lifetime of cuddling and playing fetch. He is reportedly a "Schnoodle" (Toy Poodle & Miniature Schnauzer mix). He is neutered, 3 years young, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Toby needed us because his owner was deployed in the military to fight for our country. He is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and good with dogs, cats, and mature kids. Please plan on regular grooming care for Toby (and budget extra accordingly).

Update: Toby was adopted on September 12th! Toby is a gentle soul with tons of love to share with you. Our best guess is that he is a Terrier & Toy mix. He is neutered and about one year young. Toby is reportedly housetrained and crate-trained. He is also compatible with other friendly, good-natured dogs. Toby is fearful of new people and new situations, but he warms up quickly once he trusts you and builds up his confidence. He needed us following the breaking of one of his front legs. But he is healed and recovered now. Toby debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
