Suzy

Image
Suzy , a sweetheart baby girl, listens carefully to every word hoping to hear praise.  She is a tiny pup, a blend of Toy & Terrier & Chihuahua, about 3 months of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Suzy was found in a family's yard, presumably abandoned there, with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip, not spayed).  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety.

Gardenia needs a foster hero please.

Image
Gardenia was pregnant and on the streets. She is a tiny youngster and we expect her to give birth at any moment. Please share Gardenia's picture to help find a foster hero. She needs a place where she can peacefully and comfortably birth and raise her babies. The foster commitment needs to be approximately 3-4 months. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Marla. Gardenia is approximately 1 year of age, a Chihuahua & Terrier mix, and she's amiable with people and dogs.

William

Image
William , an endearing youngster with a friendly nature, is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is an attractive blend of many breeds, likely including Lhasa Apso, Schnauzer, and Terrier. Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming. William is 3 years of age, a neutered boy, housetrained & crate-trained, and compatible with some dogs (though picky about which dogs he likes).  William needed us due to his previous owner's declining health.

Cotton & Mona Lisa

Image
Cotton & Mona Lisa , humble and well-behaved girls, politely ask for a new home where they can remain together forever.  Both are housetrained and compatible with cats, dogs, and kids.  Cotton is 5 years of age, a Terrier & Toy mix. Mona Lisa is a Maltese, 10 years of age.  The girls are completely devoted to one another, but still certainly have plenty more love for you.

Please don't throw me away again.

This gentle baby girl showed up one morning in someone's backyard, apparently tossed over the wall.  We named her Bindi and she is now 10 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Bindi has pleading eyes and she just wants to feel safe and secure.  She is terrific with other dogs and enjoys playing ball.  We believe Bindi is a Chihuahua & Terrier mix and she will remain very small.

We look just like our beautiful mommy.

Cindy and Mindy Mama These baby angels, named Cindy and Mindy , and their Mama , all debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Mama was pregnant when we rescued her from another shelter and placed her in a loving foster home.  One day later, she gave birth.  Mama is housetrained, good with cats and dogs, gentle and polite, a small Toy & Terrier mix, 3 years of age, and now spayed.  Cindy and Mindy are now spayed too and 3 months of age.  The puppies are playful and very affectionate.  Our dream is to have all three of these sweethearts adopted into loving, forever homes today.

I realize that hands don't just hit, but that hands can be loving.

We are so proud of Jenny for trusting us so quickly.  Her personality is blooming beautifully and her fearful shaking has ended.  Jenny is a lovely Poodle & Terrier mix, 8 pounds tiny, spayed girl, 1 year young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Jenny from another shelter.  She was so hand-shy, from suspected previous abuse, that they were concerned with putting her into their adoption area.  We were happy to help Jenny and her progress has come sooner than expected.  Jenny enjoys other dogs and needs regular brushing and grooming.

Can I become your little superhero?

Update: Spidey was adopted on February 14th! We love how much character this boy has, immediately evident in his eyes and facial expressions. Spidey is an adorable Toy & Terrier mix, neutered, 4 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Spidey is very fond of kind people and dogs.  He is a social boy and will do best in a home with another dog (or dogs) and/or where the owner will be home often to give him attention. Please plan on regular brushing and grooming for him. We rescued Spidey from a government-funded shelter that ran out of space.

I wiggle with enthusiasm.

Daisy is a precious baby girl and we find her completely irresistible. We believe she is a Toy & Terrier mix.  She is spayed, about 5 months of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please plan on regular professional grooming and carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. We rescued Daisy from another shelter that asked us for help because of her cherry eye condition.  We had this repaired for her and she has been healing well. She is a social girl and she adores people and other dogs. As with all companion animals, please only consider her if you can make a lifetime commitment to her.

I vigilantly watched over my mom until the tragedy was discovered.

Update: Stella was adopted on December 3rd! Some sparkles are returning to the anxious eyes of this sweet little lady. Stella kept vigil over her previous mom for 4 days before someone discovered that she had died in her home.  Stella was exhausted, very hungry, and in distress. She is bouncing back emotionally a bit more every day.  Being here with other dogs has helped her and we feel strongly that she needs to go to a home with at least one other dog. Stella is reportedly also compatible with cats and housetrained.  She is people-oriented and animal-oriented to the extent that toys do not interest her much. She is a Toy & Terrier mix, spayed female, about 8 years of age, and she debuts for adoption today. Please adopt her and cherish her.  She is on daily heart medication for life and we will send her home with a short-term supply prescribed by her veterinarian.

I am the best snuggler.

Update: Clyde was adopted on November 22nd! There is a tremendous amount of love in this little boy. Despite being a youngster -- he is about 2-3 years of age -- he would rather cuddle than play with toys, generally speaking. Clyde is a Terrier & Toy mix, neutered, debuting for adoption today.  He needed us because a member of his previous family was allergic to him. Clyde enjoys other good-natured dogs and he is reportedly houstrained and crate-trained.  Please plan on regular brushing for him. He needs a new owner who has plenty of time to share affection with him.  He is very social and people-oriented.   Please come meet and adopt him today at Nevada SPCA.

Will you snuggle with me?

Update: Andy was adopted on November 20th! Andy loves being in your lap, soaking up adoration, and sneaking kisses on you. She is a petite young girl, most likely a Chihuahua and Terrier mix, weighing only about 6 pounds.  She is spayed, approximately 3 years of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Andy from a government shelter that had run out of room to keep her. She enjoys other friendly dogs.  Please plan on plenty of playtime with her daily. Please visit and ask for Andy by name.  She would love to meet you and get to know you on our adoption patio.

Things are looking up for me.

Update: Daisy was adopted on October 9th! If a docile spirit speaks to you, then you need to come meet Daisy . She is a baby who enjoys sitting in your lap, giving kisses, and soaking up your adoration. Daisy is a Toy and Terrier mix with lovely hazel eyes, chocolate and white coloring, spayed, about 4 months of age. She needed us when her previous owner lost her job and decided she could no longer afford to care for her properly. Besides loving people, Daisy gets enthusiastic around other playful, small, friendly dogs.  Please plan on regular grooming care for her. Daisy debuts for adoption today.

Please help me always keep my wonderfully positive attitude.

Update: Sandy was adopted on October 16th! Sandy is a lovely puppy with a bubbly personality. All it takes is one look in her sparkling eyes to see that she is bursting with joy for life. Sandy is a small Terrier mix, spayed female, about 8 months of age. Sandy needed us because her previous owner said she "worked too much" to keep her. She delights in playing with other dogs and soaking up your approval and adoration. Sandy may need your patience and good guidance to complete housetraining. Also, please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. Sandy debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Why did they think I was unable to travel too?

Update: Brownie was adopted on October 20th! Brownie is confused why he lost his home and family. He watched his previous owners pack up utensils, books, furniture, pictures and other inanimate objects to take with them for their big move, but then he was taken to a government shelter. We rescued him from there, and today, he debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Brownie is an energetic, very lovable young boy. He is most likely a Terrier & Toy mix. He is neutered and approximately 18 months of age. Besides being good with other dogs, Brownie is reportedly housetrained and compatible with kind children. Please plan on regular grooming care for him.

What happened to our mommy?

Update: Stephanie and Springer were adopted on October 29th! These very sweet girls have an amazing bond. Stephanie , the Terrier mix on the right, likes to keep an eye on Springer at all times. They needed us when their owner died. The deceased's mother failed to comfort them and instead threatened to abandon them in the desert. Stephanie is a Terrier mix and Springer is a Shih-Tzu mix. Both girls are spayed, about 4-5 years of age, and need regular grooming care. Despite being confused about what happened to their previous mom, the girls are doing fairly well, secure in that they still have each other. Please be sure to keep them together forever. They are soul-mates.

Help me understand the big, crazy world.

Update: Frankie was adopted on September 16th! Frankie is an adorable puppy debuting for adoption today. He is one of 17 dogs we recently rescued in one day from another shelter when space ran out for them. He is a zany, lovable baby boy, full of character. Frankie is most likely a Chihuahua & Terrier mix. He is neutered and about 7 months of age, expected to remain small in size. At the risk of being redundant, we remind you to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. Puppies are curious about everything, so good caution saves lives. Frankie is compatible with other dogs and may do best in a home with an active or semi-active lifestyle. Please come meet this sweetheart today.

I see kindness and beauty in this world.

Update: Cookie was adopted on September 11th! Cookie always seems to have a smile on her face. She is a cheerful young lady with a whimsical, sunny disposition. We believe she is a Terrier & Maltese mix. She is spayed, about 18 months of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Cookie had been at another shelter, but was not adopted there and space was running out for her. She is a joy to have at Nevada SPCA! All of us have been taken by her positive attitude. Please budget extra for Cookie's regular grooming. We recommend a professional groomer, at 3-4 times per year.

I am 8 pounds of sweet dynamite.

Nike is a very attractive blend of many breeds, most likely including Chihuahua & Terrier. He is neutered, about 10 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. Nike is compatible with most dogs, but picky about which ones he likes. We rescued him from another shelter. Please meet and adopt him today, and remember to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection.

Let's share life's adventures together.

Update: Megan was adopted on September 6th! Megan is an adorable little firecracker, bursting with athleticism and enthusiasm. She is an entertaining puppy, a small Terrier mix, spayed female, about 8 months of age. We rescued Megan from another shelter, so her background is mostly a mystery. But we know she delights in having other playful dogs around to engage her. Megan needs your patience and good guidance to steer her energy into proper behaviors. Please only consider if you are willing and able to provide this training. Megan debuts for adoption today.
